The staff were very hospitable. They were also eager to give suggestions for snowboarding and gave us special treatment during our meal there with drinks on the house.
The position of the hotel is excellent - right in the middle of St Vincent and ideal if you just want to stroll around. Although the room was small it was very clean and we had a great balcony that looked over the church. The breakfast was adequate. No English speaking TV
Lovely hotel, great location, very nice staff. The ladies treated my children wonderfully. Not a particularly great hotel for small children, but still, we enjoyed it.
Warm welcome from the owners
location, staff attitude breakfast
rustic and rural, typical Italian alpine town, its in the centre of town best place to be, pedestrianised, but easy access by car, nice for and after dinner passiagiata. Family run and very kind and helpful, personal touch always best. church bells in about breakfast time gives a real alpine touch.would come back again if you want 5 star hotel for 3 star money. stay in the city with the rest of the tourists.
Although Alla Posta is "only" a three-star hotel, I have to admit that it is one of the best hotels I have ever spent a night in, and I have been to many. The hotel building itself is very beautiful, the rooms are decorated with taste, and the hotel staff showed unparalleled friendliness and expertise. on top of this, the town of St. Vincent is extremely pittoresque. I can highly recommend Alla Posta!
The room was large, comfortable and has a great balcony with a beautiful view. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was our favorite hotel of this trip. The food at the restaurant was very good and a fair price. We would definitely stay here again.
The location was nice on the pedestrian street. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
i like a lot the swimming pool the staff
Plenty of room og quite surroundings. We were missing a fitness room.
fantastic service and very comfortable when we arrived the reception staff said they had been trying to contact us that day to cancel our booking. Didnt get to the bottom of this but it was rather surprising
Old and seemingly unclean rooms. Some unhelpful staff. Poor selection for breakfast. Far too expensive for what you get!!
The look of the hotel from the highway The room knew better days.... It should be renovate as soon as posible
The hotel is in a beautiful location, St. Vincent is a lovely town and the scenery is spectacular. The exterior of the hotel is quite beautiful and the grounds are really lovely. The included breakfast was nice, although not as much choice and lower quality than other 4 star properties we stayed at during this 6 week long trip. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was quite outdated in terms of furnishings and finishes There was no airconditioning and with a 29C day it was sweltering, making sleep almost impossible. The lock for the door was barely secure and paint was peeling all around the room which was very surprising for a property with a 4-star rating.
Enjoyed our stay very much!
Pool area was excellent Website 'sold' the hotel as something it was not (i.e. did not expect to be so close to built up areas and expected more surrounding countyside/grounds). Also, area out the back is more modern and clinical.
Good room, friendly staff, good food, nice setting. Attached to a Casino, quite a surprise!
The Hotel is really beautiful and clean. The staff is pleasant and discreet and really dedicated. The rooms on the casino side are noisy when opening the windows (I guess that the air conditioning of the Casino is an old system)
What I liked about this hotel was that even though it was central to the village it was peaceful. The staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble.
Very helpful and informative staff, secure parking, clean rooms. Good range of breakfast foods. Central location offered multiple choice for evening 'eating out'
Very helpful staff and great breakfast to kick-off the day! The wireless/wired connection was free only for 2hrs despite the fact that in your website it's mark as free!! they accept that and gave me a free pass for the internet...
Probably one of the most unfriendly welcomes ever - very much along the lines of "we weren't expecting you". Poor quality food at breakfast meant that overall we felt that this hotel was pretty charmless.
The quad room was spacious, even for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 youths). The wellness centre in the basement was relaxing, and the person who attended to us was very kind. Its quite close to the highway, so with the windows open at night, there was significant road noise. The extra charges for using the pool and then again for using their towels was something that should have been included in the room rate.
We liked the friendliness, the nice breakfast och the calm ambiance.
Very kind couple of young owners and builders, perfect room and bathroom for the price, free and efficient Wifi, free lending of a laptop if needed, good breakfast and caffè, views on beautiful and quite Ayas valley and surrounding Monta Rosa mountains, good restaurants at a walking distance in a lovely village ... a strike for me at this price! should be one hotel like this in every part of the world!
Very quiet and peaceful. Fairly simple but functional, clean and nice, helpful owner. You need a car to access the main ski areas and restaurants etc. Although near a lift, it is a remote small ski area and not the main Champoluc area. If you have a car it is an easy drive down into Champoluc village.
The cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the staff. Also breakfast was really good
kind staff, good breakfast, laptop provided by hotel for every room.
The hotel setting and amenities and care are all excellent. This is our 2nd very happy visit None
The hotel and room were very charming. The views were great. The staff was helpful and agreable.
any friutis for breakfast (fresh!)
Very pretty and clean hotel and family who run it are really helpful and friendly No
The location is great, the owner is helpful and makes a good breakfast. There's ample free public parking by hotel. Based on all the reviews we booked this hotel for the 2 of us. Our room was in the back with no views, no balcony and much too full with a double plus a bunk bed. When we booked the room description mentions a balcony, but only 2 rooms have one. Furthermore we couldn't really open a window for fresh air at night as all the windows opened on the landing. So check availablility if you want a balcony.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and it is set in a beautiful location by fountains in the plaza. There is a cosy lounge where groups can sit in the evening too.
We thought its position was perfect and would reccomend the hotel to everyone. It was excellent in that there was no noise from traffic etc. The rooms were perfect and views from all rooms were excellent, (our friends had rooms on different sides of hotel). We parked the car and had no need to use it as we could walk everywhere which was lovely. Nothing important - the only thing possibly could be that the bathroom door was a little awkward - could do with a sliding door for better access.
Hotel staff was very kind. Location is on the main square. The parking is not included in the price but there is a free parking available on 2 minutes walk and a parking garage next door to the hotel. The internet was working only in the lobby due to some temporary problem.
Nice hotel in the middel of the town. Very friendly staff, very serviceminded. A cosy small town. Inside parking close to the hotel. The staff do not speak english very well, a littel better on german
The exeptionel helpfullness of the owners/staff everything was perfect
The hotel was moden and the finsh was to a very high standard. You felt like you where staying at much higher reated big hotel, but with the nice feel of a small famly hotel
central location, vicinity to public parking, free wifi in all the rooms, friendliness of the staff
This is a 3 star-hotel with a 5-star attitude regarding guests' confort and welcome. The rooms are exactly as shown on the pictures...lovely and with all the comodities needed. For the best tips just ask Donatella...a legend! This makes it for sure the best 3-star hotel in Italy. On the other hand the place called "Petit Bijou", that doesn't belong to the hotel has one thing or two to learn from the hotel staff and from his amazing director on how to welcome guests.
the family atmosphere, clean rooms, very nice and cosy hotel Internet access, need for double bed
Everything, fantastic room, view, staff, village - we had a great time. Breakfast was a bit basic.
The hotel has a relaxing atmosphere, lovely mountainside location and serves excellent food. The shower cubicle is small; the bar is not manned sufficiently before dinner.
The receptionists were friendly and hospitable. Chamois is a picturesque mountain village, good for walking, easily accessible from the valley by cable car. Hotel close to cable car upper station, hence quite noisy during the day with deliveries. We booked 2 rooms; one Classic, one Comfort. The evening meals were tasteless, dry, unimaginative, badly cooked, with no fresh vegetables, no vegetable buffet contrary to claims in brochure. Extremely limited choice for vegetarians. Even a simple pasta pomodoro was tasteless and undercooked (extremely al dente). Had to send several dishes back as uneatable. No transparency on wine/water prices. No free wi-fi over a 5 day period, even though main telephone was working properly! Our room by the main road was extremely noisy from 7am with passing tractors & trucks, even though it was classed as a "Comfort Room". We sent an email complaint to the hotel and the Duna Hotel Resorts Group, with no response. Would recommend the hotel sacks its present cook and employs a professional chef.
The hotel is located at the bottom of the ski slope. To get to the hotel you have to park your car at the cable car parking and then take the cable car (€ 2 return ticket) up to the hotel (so don't forget anything). That's why they advertise as the only car free city in Italy! Be aware: the price is half board (better as there are just a few hotel/restaurants there) so the price offer is better than B&B. The location is stunning, we were here in February with lot's of snow but it seems to be a great destination to go walking in the Summer too. From the hotel there are three chair lifts that can take you up the mountain so you can ski or walk back. We had a comfort room, our friends a classic, all a good size but the comfort room is nicer.
The location was stunning. Perfect views and adequate facilities for a quiet relaxing break. Noise from the staff quarters located on the 1st floor. I would not like to stay on the 1st floor again.
Friendly staff, nice ski slopes and incredible location. A swimming pool would be a nice improvement.
The room was comfortable, spacious, quiet, and had an excellent view over the valley to the mountains the other side. Lack of Internet Computer in the hotel (either free or pay-per-minute) - although was able to use the front desk computer for brief periods when necessary.
That is was placed close to the town center and stratigic to the nearby ski resorts. That I was not informed of the on going work in the street in front. With heavy load of luggage and ski equipment, is was irritating.
Convenient to Cervinia and historical sites. Middle of September is low season and recommended to avoid crowds. Free parking was limited but a pay location was nearby.
Clean room. Charged 5 euros/day to park in a garage a long way from the hotel. No directions given around roadworks outside (even though we called just before we arrived). Breakfast poor given price if hotel. Shower door broken.
price is reasonable, room is clean Wierless internet was not usable, but wired connection was okay
the room, the location some staff in the off hours cannot understand a word of english at all.
The staff were very helpful and the room was excellent. No
It was very good with pleasant staff, we had upgraded room
In spite of the language barrier (no english), the staff were friendly and pointed us to cheap parking in town and two excellent restaurants. Simple, clean hotel with recently renovated rooms. Thin walls
Quality staff. Clean and good location. Would have liked A/C in heat of Summer
All is well. The persons are all kind and at disposal any time we need to.
Attentive staff, good breakfast, excellent coffee. No parking at the garage.
Upgraided room is very good.Use of the spa was additionally charged, which did not appear on price list.
Very friendly service, clean and nice hotel within easy driving distance to Cervinia. English spoken well.
The staff, cleanness of the room, shower, good breakfast that was included Everything was good
