After complaining about our first room, we then got moved to a bigger better room, one we did expect to get first thing. Its was a comfy bed and warmer room. Just wasnt great first impression.
First of all we paid for a superior double room. We got given a very small dark room at the end of a tatty hall. The room was freezing cold and the bathroom and curtains were dirty. Even the fire alarm was covered with a plastic bag. Which is highly dangerous!
I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The location was great for me as I had to be in town very early the next day.
The bed was very creaky & not too comfortable. It seemed most people at the hotel were locals that lived there. I could clearly hear people in rooms on my floor & more than one room above. More than one room had people chatting & worse until at least 4.30am. I paid £59.15 for this room, it was worth a third of that. I'd like a refund?
staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a good location beautiful town it also had good parking
there was no were to hang anything clothes, room was clean but found parts of bathroom were not dining room was not clean didn't go for breakfast on the second day because of this. carpet on hallway leading to dining room would need changed
Felt grubby, needs a lot of TLC and also very noisy felt like I was staying in a care home or old boarding school
Value for money and a convenient location.
