I am not sure how this can be called a “boutique” hotel. The room bathroom was straight out of a 90s house along with the Staples computer chair at the - nothing updated at all. The plumbing was terrible and pooled within the shower. There was no room or towel service - had to go down to the lobby to get my own replacement towels. No view, was literally staring at a brick wall and two air conditioning units. For the amount of money, not worth it.
Kitschy, fun atmosphere. Comfortable room. Arrived very early and expected to have to wait hours for check in, but room was ready on our arrival. Pleasant staff. Would absolutely stay here again.
Pros. Fun decor, helpful staff. I heard people complain about the size of the rooms, but I had no issues. It maybe was a little small, but the bed was comfortable and I liked that I could cast Netflix and Hulu from my iPad to the tv in the room. I’d definitely stay there again.
Cons. The valet fee is exorbitant, but I know that’s just how it is in Chicago, but if I drove again I’d try to find somewhere else to leave my car.
Pros. Staff was very helpful, room was clean and quiet. Newly upgraded tvs in rooms are huge. The lobby decor is amazing and impressive. Decor carries into rooms. Only downside is no onsite food, but plenty of excellent restaurants in walking distance as well as Walgreens, Walmart, Target plus Whole Foods right across the street.
Cons. With not having food onsite, vending machines would be lovely or even a small commissary at the front desk. Bottled water used to be included but is now not available at all. I would have gladly paid to have some in room,
Pros. Freshly refurbished. Huge, very comfy bed. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Great location
Pros. The room my friend and I got was a business room with 2 queen beds that was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was pretty nice. Overall great value.
Cons. Nothing really to complain about except maybe the noise outside, although some bacon or sausage at breakfast would have been nice.
Pros. We were upgraded to a business sweet from a standard queen room for free and without even asking. The room was very clean, simple and classy with a large bathroom. The breakfast room was also large and there was a great selection of foods. The hotel staff is very helpful, kind and attentive. Check out is at noon but you can check your luggage at the hotel if you have more sight seeing to do!! You can also leave your car with valet and won't be charged another night or hourly rates till 3pm.
Cons. On our last day of a great trip we needed to check out by noon but we're planning on doing a little more touring so we thought we had to put our luggage in our car after checking out. We asked the valet where the car was parked so they wouldn't have to bring it around for us to merely put our luggage in it. We followed his directions (parking garage around the corner, top floor) and ended up climbing 8 flights of stairs with our luggage to the top of the garage as we hadn't found and elevator. Upon reaching the top we were greeted by a locked door. We started making out way back down through the garage itself to look for our car and couldn't find it so we headed back to the hotel where we got lectured by the valet attendant because apparently we could have checked out luggage at the hotel after checking out. Very upset that we put in all that effort just to be scolded by the valet attendant for whom we were trying to do a favor.
Pros. Excellent location, clean rooms, friendly competent staff, and a large accommodating room for the generous free breakfast. It's all good.
Pros. Decent breakfast. Nice room. Good HVAC. Good bathroom. Great location. Nice staff.
Cons. Hallways can be noisy sometimes.
