Hertz did not honor their reservation with me and
Pros: The ease of the reservation was good.
Cons: I can't wait to have my attorney look over this incident! After making and getting a confirmed reservation, changing my travel plans based on this reservation, HERTZ stranded me on Christmas eve morning at 0230 am... They refused to rent me a vehicle and stated that they do not do 1 way rentals on christmas. After showing the counter person my reservation, they again refused to rent me a car. I then went to their website and tried to make another reservation and they were still showing cars available. I was told, regardless of what the website said, they would not rent me a car.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I work in customer service and I would never do that to someone on Christmas... If their cars were truly not available, they should have blocked them out like all of the other rental companies.
Had they done that, I never would have changed my reservation and flown to a city that I didn't really need to be in.
I will be looking for reimbursement for all of my travel expenses (even though they were minor) so as to not allow any one to set a precedence for this type of service, operation, treatment and overall business practice. This is false advertising, and is tantamount to a breech of contract.
Not only do I deserve answers, but I deserve an apology. I hope that this review is passed around and this company is put on notice!
