When I called for help with the Internet, I quickly received explicit instructions how to fix the problem. After I thanked them and hung up, I followed the directions and it worked immediately. 5 minutes later, the person who had helped me called me back to make sure I was able to solve the problem. That has NEVER happened to me in 40 years of travel. Extraordinary service that made a HUGE positive impression on me.
The electronic pad in the room which offered a lot of information about the hotel and the neighborhood did not work when I tried to use it....probably because the hotel’s systems had gone down a few hours before we checked in. It worked the following morning. The Check-in lines were very long, but moved fairly quickly and staff did a good job handling it. This was nobody’s fault.
Old rooms with unreliable HVAC systems. AC stuck at 65*F and had a freezing stay. Guest hotline a joke. Service engineer nice but basically told me at 10pm that the room would take hours to earm up to 70 degrees.
Amazing location and historic facility. The room was comfortable and well appointed, even if some of the features were a bit dated.
Some of the details were a bit dated (limited elevator services to various floors), and a large hotel can mean a long walk to your room, but we still loved it!
The room was not want I expected for a 4 star hotel. My room gave the impression of a neglected hotel. By chance I looked behind the tv stand and found a mountain of dust, dirt and debris. The bathroom was uninviting at best. On one day of my stay house keeping did not clean my room. I will not book this hotel in the future.
Good value for the location
Location was excellent. Staff very kind and attentive, specially the concierge.
The mattress is kind of soft. Lines in the reception are a bit chaotic. The lobby is spectacular but the seating is not very inviting.
