Old rooms with unreliable HVAC systems. AC stuck at 65*F and had a freezing stay. Guest hotline a joke. Service engineer nice but basically told me at 10pm that the room would take hours to earm up to 70 degrees.
Amazing location and historic facility. The room was comfortable and well appointed, even if some of the features were a bit dated.
Some of the details were a bit dated (limited elevator services to various floors), and a large hotel can mean a long walk to your room, but we still loved it!
The room was not want I expected for a 4 star hotel. My room gave the impression of a neglected hotel. By chance I looked behind the tv stand and found a mountain of dust, dirt and debris. The bathroom was uninviting at best. On one day of my stay house keeping did not clean my room. I will not book this hotel in the future.
Good value for the location
Location was excellent. Staff very kind and attentive, specially the concierge.
The mattress is kind of soft. Lines in the reception are a bit chaotic. The lobby is spectacular but the seating is not very inviting.
Over all convenience
No coffee in the Room
Better mattress and pillows
Great place to stay in Chicago!
We visited Chicago to see Hamilton. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to restaurants and attractions, very close to the Private Bank Theater where Hamilton is playing. We arrived slightly early and worried about getting into our room, but the staff were able to accommodate us. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly. The self-park was included in our stay and very convenient. We had a king bed room which was very nice and clean. Overall very pleased!
Very small rooms and poor room service.
The lobby is amazing.
Overall Very Good
The room was very clean. The hotel had many amenities and provided a comfortable home away from home.
I was approached by beggars both in front of the hotel (on the sidewalk) and in the hotel lobby. It would have been nice for security to be a bit tighter.
Decor, ambiance, comfy bed and linens, great shower, great mirror in the bathroom, we were pleasantly suprised to see that we were able to open the windows in the room, we like fresh air.
The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom.
We arrived early and tried to check in.Were advised room not ready, but in a hour and we were being upgraded. Two hours later that room was gone, but we could wait for the upgraded room or take our confirmed room (smaller, etc) then.Decided to wait on 23rd floor where the upgraded room was located--very pleasant but took another 40 minutes. It was god to wait and worth it but,..........................,
had two double beds. would have liked queen beds as we were three ladies, two of whom are larger.... Everything else was GREAT
