Lovely little guesthouse!
Very Japanese style, and close to our destination.
Old fashioned, no hot water at sinks upstairs. Needed bins upstairs. Some cobwebs.
Nature and the beautiful Lake Shikotsu.
1) Poor cleanliness, first I was greeted by an exposed soiled sanitary pad on the floor in my room. Then I realised the room and the mattress has got a strong unpleasant moldy smell. The cookeries in the kitchen are heavily stained. Sink drainage clogged with leftover food. 2) Lazy and unfriendly staffs, most of the time I will see the receptionist lady lazing on the couch watching TV or munching on something. Another part-time staff when I told her I need to do my laundry and I know it cost ¥100, to my surprised that she literally put out her palm and say: "Pay now." Some of the Kayak guide aren't very friendly, probably bored of their job thus they are kind a robotic and their main concern is have you make the payment, ¥7000 but actually nothing much to offer during the one and a half hours of kayak, plus a few simply snapped photos. 3) This place is unsafe for single female traveller. When I was enjoying the sunset at the lakeside park I got disturb by a pervert. I went and inform another single female traveller who was still photographing at the park. When we leave the park the pervert came out from one corner and chase after us. We ran for life and fortunately we reached the guesthouse unhurt. I told the guesthouse staffs, firstly they did not show any compassion over the incident, secondly the receptionist even suspect that I'm making up a story and commented that I'm making it a big case when I said I want to lodge a police report. Anyway, police report lodged after I insisted. What an experienced. My concern is the safety for the future visitors around this beautiful place. Whether it's a small or a big case, a case is a case, have to lodge a report and put in a record.
The location is great. It is closed to bus stop and the lake.Staff is friendly.
There’s only one bathroom and it is really cold.
the room is not comfort
