The Lodge was a perfect location for having a class reunion. I especially liked the views of the lake. The employees at the front desk were nice. The lodge on the outside is in much need of a power wash as it looks like moss growing on it. The inside smelled musty and needs new carpet, fresh paint and better lighting throughout the hallways. Now once we got to our room the room was fine. It had a rustic feel to it. The bed was comfortable. The windows were in much need of a good washing. All the wood inside and out needs sanded down and re-stained. This would help immensely to bring it up to date.
Loved the rustic setting. Beautiful park. Very friendly staff. Would defiantly stay again, only longer. I would like complimentary coffee in the morning.
pillows refrigerator wall paper peeling electrical receptacles for charging devices were unreliable mold in bath tub caulking maids didn't wipe off night stand which had sticky reside on it signs on second floor indicate an ice machine but there is none on the second floor wall thermostat not connected to heating/A/C unit but no signs to indicate it was not connected bathroom shower rod loose causing shower curtain to sag onto the floor and bottom of the bath tub frequently no one is at the front desk but a sign indicates that the staff is busy helping other patrons hotel directory os services in the room had a listing of television channels. They were mostly wrong and access was not available to most of the channels listed Only one bar of soap provided in the room
Decent breakfast Terrible reception on the T.V.
The hotel was more than adequate. There was a large pool but a very small gym. The breakfast location was clean and there were enough selections for a hotel of this price range. The staff was helpful and friendly. There could have been a little better gym. While there was free internet, it was quite spotty
Hotel was in a convenient location and easy to get to. Bed was comfortable, TV channel selection was good. Only stayed overnight so I didn't have a chance to use all the facilities. It was a good value for the price.
I didn't spend too much time in the room, but the hotel served its purpose. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the tv was nice and had a decent channel selection. I called ahead to request a fridge in the room, which they assured would be fine. Once I got to my hotel room, there wasn't a fridge. I have dietary restrictions and have to have my own food with me. The staff was accommodating and let me put my food in their refrigerator, but it was frustrating to not have it in my room. The room also had a musty/stale smell that didn't really go away.
A Little rough around the edges - slightly peeling wall paper, marks on a few walls in room. Nothing major , but you can tell it's been there for awhile
modern facility, clean next to rail road, two trains in the middle of the night with horns only one waffle maker
Large, clean room - nice breakfast spread in the morning. Close enough to campus and High Street, but still had to hike up the hill. Access to the main streets could have been better. Could hear all the neighbors getting ready in the morning.
The hotel is neither fancy nor particularly updated, but its very clean, efficiently run and staffed by very nice people. There are few hotels in Oxford, and this is definitely one of the better options. The complimentary breakfast is a little thin, but acceptable. That said, it's not the draw of the place, so I'm nit-picking a bit.
