a great place to stay no
The staff really tried foo make us fell wellcome! They were very nice The location was to fare away from everything. Nothing to really do in the neightbourghood but staying at the hotel. The restaurant didn't give the Michelin experience it was supposed to. The stay was to expensive compared with the location
Very comfortable stay in a relaxing atmosphere. Excellent and friendly staff. N/A
Very comfortable, clean room, helpful staff, good breakfast and excellent swimming pool and gardens. Its situation in a "village" which had no other eating places apart from one other hotel which was practically falling down and an unattractive pizza restaurant on the main road. However, the hotel restaurant was excellent but we did not want to eat there every night.
Good ambience. Excellent food. Very nice hotel in beautiful setting.
At first sight, the hotel does not look so different from other hotels, but it is really a high-class place. Excellent outdoor restaurant. Good swimming pool. Hotel rooms simple but comfortable. Extremely helpful staff.
We arrived at 6pm very wet and cold after travelling thru Switzerland on a motorbike the staff were excellent and ensured we were quickly showed to our room to thaw out and then were able to complete all necessary documentation. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The ambience of this hotel is brillient and the food in the restaurant some of the best we have tasted and we have been to very famous and well known restaurants where the food and wine were of a lesser quality Prior to booking this hotel I did not read guest reviews. We booked it on the pictures of its interior and its vicinity to our destinations No
Went to explore the area: the hotel is an exceptional base. Nothing
A beautifully-appointed small hotel with a strong traditional feel. As a family of four, we had two nice connecting rooms overlooking the lake. The staff in the reception and restaurant were welcoming and helpful with advice, and dinner and breakfast were very pleasant. Convenient on-site parking as well. Our two under - tens were charged full price for the set dinner menu, although they hardly ate anything. Although the room was described as "suitable for 3 adults or a family of 4", we had to pay a supplement of 35 euros for our fourth family member. The road outside the hotel is quite busy, and many of the drivers in the neighbourhood obviously imagine themselves to be Fangio, so care must be exercised in crossing it, especially with small children.
Very nice room, large bathroom, with balcony overlooking garden, mountains and swimming pool. Very helpful reception staff. Large garden, very close to lake. Very easy to find. Parking in underground garage.
It was wonderful being in such a beautiful place and to be there with friends and family who were all going to the same wedding. Staff and others there were wonderful to us. No complaints.
excellent friendly &helpfull staff reception&bar
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Excellent service from the hotel staff. Very nice view to the Lake Isio from our rooms with balcony. We travelled with a wheelchair user and got a good and functional room for him. Dinner in the evening was good. Breakfast a bit simple but good enough for our needs.
Hotel situated behind a trafficed road and above a slot machine bar, doesn't exactly reflect the impression one gets from the pictures og the hotel. Standard rooms are all located at the back og the hotel with poor view. The ventilation system is also quite noisy.
Good location, good views from rooms with balcony. Good restaurant. Breakfast was disappointing, small choice of food.
large and clean room with aircondition view over the parking
A lovely hotel in a beautiful location and very friendly. What more could you ask for.
Clean, comfortable with polite and helpful staff. Good restaurant.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff very welcoming and helpful, dinner in dining room available until midnight which was terrific after late arrival of our flight to Milan and food really great quality Only negative point is that road in front of the hotel is quite busy although double glazing excellent so kept noise of traffic to a minimum
Good location , free private parking
friendly staff, fantastic location on the edge of the lake, well-renovated, clean... parking can be a problem, and Sulvano itself is pretty limited as a village (but the ferries will take you to nice places without problem, so...)
It is the most beautifull place from Italy! The staff is great! the view and the room are excellent! For sure I will come back!
very nice location, friendly staff, beautiful hotel
The feeling of being well looked after but also not intruding on own space. Calm atmosphere but not too quiet.
a perfect place to relax; perfect setting; perfect service
We staid for the second time at Rivalago. It is a perfect stay directly on the lake of Iseo and close to the island of Monte Isola where you can relax, walk and it has a lots of restaurants, but no traffic. We had a room with a view to the lake, phantastic. Breakfast buffet is really excellent and you can also have it outside close to the lake. Small, but nice swimming pool. Really nothing negative. The only well known challenge are the parking lots for the cars. Dependent on the size of your car you really may have a challenge to get it into the parking lots. May be here the hotel staff could be more recommending to their guests on how to park the cars into which slots. For instance a very small car could be right away parked into the more narrow slots to leave the bigger slots for the bigger cars when coming back from a day excursion.
I really enjoyed my stay the Hotel is beautiful and we had a great stay. The only down side is that the room walls are so thin you can hear everything from next door. Not good at all when your looking for peace and quiet, espically for this price.
The views from the rooms and the garden terrace were absolutely spectacular all day and night. Wonderful staff, gorgeous breakfast buffet. The perfect place for a quiet weekend away. All of our family and friends loved it and many are already planning to return. Thank you for everything!
Very friendly and warm welcome combined with an excellent location and comfort. This is a very nice place to stay.
The staff at Rivalago where fantastic, the setting was stunning, the breakfast first class. Would recommend this to anyone wishing to relax and feel pampered. N/A
The resturant The out-dated rooms
A very nice family run hotel with delicious food. Bossico is nicely situated just 30 minutes from Lago di Iseo. A perfect place for easy hiking and the place for a relaxing stay.
Family room was spacious, staff very helpful (there was no TV in a room, but on request it was brought to our room). Breakfast was very solid. The hotel is near the church, so the bells rang every 15 minutes (except from 23 to 7 (from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.)) and traffic noise starts spreading very early in the morning, therefore it is impossible to sleep well. Another minus that shower was without any curtain, so there was always wet in a bathroom.
It is situated in a very little village The bathroom was very little and did not smell very fresh in our room. The bathroom in our daughter's room was very good and large. The rooms near the street are rather noisy when the window is open. No airconditioning in the room so we had to sleep with an open window.
Wery kindfull staff (probably the owner). Clean. View was beautiful. Food->exellent.
location, friendliness of staff, great view
clean, friendly and nice facilites
Beautiful setting, well kept. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent cuisine. Bathroom very tiny, with a microscopic shower. The room itself was very small.
Very friendly and accomodating staff, where nothing was too much trouble. Excellent personal attention that comes with well run small hotels. The scenery is breathtaking especially the nearby park with views overlooking the lahe. The rooms don't have air conditioning and so were a little hot in the height of summer. Opening the windows was not an option as the hotel is situated right on a road and the traffic noise was worse than the heat (With the windows shut it was very quiet
Excellent breakfast :)
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip to Italy. The staff were very polite and friendly. There was plenty of space to park and the hotel was in a great position. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Great location away from main tourist areas yet access to Pisogne is only minutes walk away with the whole of lake Iseo available for exploration by car. Spa and pool are welcome diversions with very friendly and accommodating staff. Great access to foothills of the Alps
The hotel is modern with very pleasing decor & design. The restaurant has beautiful views over the lake & the cuisine is of a high standard. The breakfasts were not up to standard for a 4 star hotel. The minibar had only soft drinks (although there was a bar next to the reception which was open for long hours)
Most things were good. The front staffs were not understand English much. The distance from train station was a little bit far though there were no taxi or no taxi call no. could be found. The hotel might be suitable for driving guest.
Restaurant had great food and was well priced. Bar and lounge area was comfortable and all the food and drinks were fairly priced. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. There was a large selection of food. You can order eggs or omeletes at no extra charge I could not get the wireless internet to work with my computer.
nice hotel. poor breakfast
Great staff All good
Clean and warm rooms. Good value for money. Staff was great
Everything was perfect. Staffs were friendly and helpful. When my son and wife were ill, they were very kind. Breakfast was nice, and Restaurant was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. It is the best hotel that I have ever stayed in, and good value for price absolutely. We stayed for 5days. We could go to ski only for 2 days since it was raining, but we enjoyed staying at Borno for all 5 days.
with going out of season it was very quiet, just what we were looking for no
Bathroom is very comfortable
Lovely and friendly hotel in the fantastic little mountain village of Borno. Our room felt quite luxurious at the price and the atmosphere is quite charming. Good restaurant.
Friendly and helpful staff is the main feature. The dining experience was good and staff very helpful at making sure you got what you wished for despite having no Italian. Seems to manage right degree of formality in the dining room yet it was relaxing with good food reasonably priced and seemed to be very child friendly. No TV with English in rooms - however had free (fast) WIFI in bedroom.
everything! it was a dream! no
friendly staff , beautiful views plumbing!
It's family run and very welcoming and helpful. If you don't speak Italian they speak French, English and German. Wonderful views, cool terraces and the rooms cleaned every day.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Everyone was also very nice with our little dog. The bed was rather uncomfortable. We were also disappointed by the food in the hotel restaurant which was certainly over-priced and not particularly good. There was very little choice on the menu. Steaks, supposedly cooked as 'medium', arrived at the table almost raw and had to be sent back for further cooking.
The staff was extremely helpful and nice, They provided a place where to park my motorbike. THe food was delicious.
The friendliness of the patron and his wife and all the staff. Our plane was severely delayed which meant we didn't get to the hotel until the early hours of the morning. We phoned ahead and the patron told us it would be no trouble to wait for our arrival. The waiting staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful and the food served was excellent - it seemed that nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom whilst serviceable and spotlessly clean was in need of some tender loving care, it was a bit bruised and could have done with a lick of paint.
I was treated very well. A very nice staff. I would love to stay there again.
It was a beautiful area and the staff was very friendly and accommadating.
Nice polite staff, good environment, and good value for money. Nice view from the terrace. This is a hotel mainly for elderly people, don't expect new furniture and design. Breakfast is ok, however it is advisable to find alternative places for having lunch or dinner. Lake Garda is a bit far from here.
Friendly people - they all really tried to make our stay pleasent. The pool was dissapointing - very small and only partly outside (in the description it was stated outside). No air condition. The rooms (furniture/beds) needs an upgrade in order to justify the price.
Location - tranquil. Restricted meal-times.
An exceptional hotel very friendly with stunning location very scenic journey when approaching the hotel, ideal get away for peace and solitude if desired None
A very pleasant hote, friendly staff. Hiking track right close by.
Isolated but intresting location: great for hill walks etc. Very welcoming. Food good.
Helpful, friendly staff even though they didnt speak much English. Good website and they have free Wifi as well. Excellent location but be prepared for some hairpin mountain driving up to Zone. Not too tortuous though. First class food, good range and not pricey. Menu might get a bit borong on a second week but for one it is ideal. Great pizzas as well. Ample parking. Good walking area. Nearby small shops. Lake Iseo is magical and so is the town.
The area is very beautiful; it is worthwhile to stay at least for 2 days in the area
Very quiet. Good breakfast. Close to the "Pyramids". Staff were friendly.
Wonderful, quiet location. Fabulous, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Nothing.
relaxing and silent position for openair living.
First class food, good range and not pricey. Balcony (terrace) is common to several rooms.Staff spoke only Italian.
