Pros: Kindness of the staff Cleanliness of the room and bathroom Good location Very confortable bed
Cons: A bit Noisy Cold Light (it seems all hôtel in south america like depressing Lights
Pros: Big room(double) confortable bed! Really well located and affordable, I d definitely repeat!
Pros: The owner is excellent and very kind and helpfull.
Pros: Super friendly and helpful owner. Nice view. Clean. Centrally located. Good value for the money.
Cons: No hot water.
Pros: Excellent value for money. Spacious bright room with a wonderful view and nice ensuite bathroom. Very clean. The staff was very kind and caring - when I got sick, they provided us with hot water and helped to re-arrange our plans. They also allowed late check in.
Cons: The wifi was a bit slow - but this may be everywhere in Santa Teresa, the whole city had internet breakdown when we arrived (we asked in Internet cafes) . The water was a bit cold.
Pros: The host is very friendly and helpful. He booked us a taxi to the hotsprings, one to go to hydroelectrica at 4am and also found us a car back to Santa Maria. He was also really accomodating, letting us stay 1 more night after a last-minute change of plans! The room in itself was great!!
Cons: The wifi was a bit slow
Pros: The room was nice for the price we paid. The beds, bedding, and towels were nice and clean. The the bathroom was neat and nice too.
Cons: The only problem was that the water in the hot water tap wouldn't even get warm, so we couldn't have a shower.
Pros: the village is sweet, very helpful people, the owner is really nice, helped us get to santa maria in the morning! Our room was big and very tidy!
Cons: There hasnt been any warm water! But we read about that before so it hasnt been a big deal!
Pros: I liked the location of this hotel. The shower was good. Had hot water. Mattress was good and woke up without back pain. Hotel was approximately 10 minutes away from Cocalmayo (natural hot water pools) The staff was accommodating. When my daughter left her bathing suit at the pool the owner of the hotel called to the pool and asked them to find it and bring it back to the hotel. We received the bathing suit Next morning.
Cons: The walls are very thin and can hear everything including showering and conversations. The people that came late were loud and when it was raining outside you could hear everything.
Pros: Everything was great and as described. Location was convenient, right by the main plaza. The woman running the place was very sweet and helpful. Amazing value for what you get.
Cons: All was great

Pros: Yummy breakfast and very helpful and kind family
Cons: Sounding the horn of the cars outside till late in the night
Pros: Nothing really good to say. The breakfast was okay.
Cons: Poor service at the front desk. I reserved a room the morning of and there was an option to put “not sure what time” for check in so I put that because me and my friend weren’t sure if we were going to do water rafting and didn’t know what time we would arrive if we did or didn’t do it. We got there at 8pm and the lady says she gave away my room simply because I put the option “not sure what time” for check in. Later she comes up to us as we were trying to figure out where we were staying because all the hostels were booked and says she can give me and my friend a triple bedroom but it would be 30USD more than the room I booked. Very unimpressed I payed because we had no where else to go. She was very rude and I did not appreciate her giving my reservation away to someone else when there is the option to put “not sure what time” for the check in. They should delete that option so this doesn’t happen again. Overall unimpressed with the attitude and professionalism with her and the hotel I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Pros: Hot showers,Helpful staff and good coffee at breakfast!
Pros: The owners were nice even tho they don't speak english
Cons: The stairs.
Pros: Comfortable bed. Clean room and toilet. Good breakfast.
Cons: Simple but nice.
Pros: They helped us store our bikes while we visited Machu Picchu. They breakfast was very good. Friendly staff.
Pros: Bed was cosy, breakfast is good, location so close to where you catch colectivos and in city centre. The staff kept our backpacks while we went off for 2 days to Machupicchu
Cons: There is a nightclub next to it - we didn't have problems during this period of January (a bit of music until 10pm) but I can see how loud it can get during high season
Pros: Confortable room
Cons: Too much noise
Pros: Staying at Yacumama was very pleasant. We felt cared for and always had that little "extra mile" when it came to the hosts providing help or services for us. Our host was willing to wash our clothes when we needed to find laundry service. We also recieved help with getting information regarding Machu Picchu tickets. We were there with 3 small kids, and even our 10 months old baby got extra complimentary food when we needed it!
Cons: The property is close to bars. We were traveling with small kids and the noise was a bit annoying during the evenings when we were putting the kids to bed.
Pros: The hot shower, the breakfast, the beds
Cons: The owner recommended us the Yacumama restaurant which was nice but the service was very slow. The restaurant also tried over charge us by 50 soles! on the bill (adding one meal and 20 soles just like that).

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. For a surcharge, guests may use a shuttle from the airport to the hotel (available on request) and a train station pick-up service.
Pros: Lovely to fall asleep with the sound of the river in the background, beautiful area, fantastic breakfast, great dinners. Amazing place to relax within beautiful surroundings.
Cons: Hot water was variable and services e.g. taxi’s/ massages charged at a high rate.
Pros: We really enjoyed the views from the hotel and the public areas like the lounge and restaurant (and the free fruit!). Te breakfast was ok. They recommended a taxi driver that was very helpful and friendly! (Ask for Mickey)
Cons: The price did not match our expectations. The lodge is a bit improvised resulting in many little problems that are not worth the price. The room was dark and more of what you would expect from a hostel. Even after asking several times we did not have hot running water. The trash from the construction happening in the hotel was in our back porch.
Cons: A lot of insects, no hot water, staff do not know how to use POS terminal property so you will not be able to pay with card
Pros: A fantastic place on the edge of a roaring canyon. It felt like being in treehouse but safer. I went during the rainy season and the power went out during a massive downpour but there was still light in my room because they have a small wind generator for backup. The staff are great. I did the Vertikal Zipline and went to the Cocalmayo hot springs, both very near the lodge.
Pros: Everything from the location (close enough to town but in nature and serenity), the room, the view, to the owner etc was absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. Because is was slow season the restaurant wasn't really open so Janet, the owner, suggested a place in town (about 1/2 mile) to eat and gave me directions. As I was walking there, I was surprised to be greeted by the chef on the street (she walked over half way) to accompany me! I was then blown away at the best Lomo Saltado I've had in Peru! and also the best Frappacino I've ever had. When I was finished they walked me all the way back to the lodge!!! I was seriously blown away at the sincere hospitality from the lodge and the restaurant, Valle Santa is the name of restaurant (neither work for tips btw). The room I stayed in was a bit like staying up in a tree house over looking the river. Quiet and in the trees, I had the best night of sleep I have had in years. there are many common areas to enjoy and what looked like 2 hot/cold tubs outside (not in function during my stay) and a fire pit. The views were amazing and.... the Colcomayo Hot Springs were only a short, beautiful walk away. (those hot springs are a do not miss btw! Paradise!) I honestly can say if the lodge had a job opening I would have stayed! Absolutely loved it! Oh, also... if you are planning on experiencing Machu Picchu by hiking in from Hidroelectrica ... I would highly recommend allowing ample time to take a bus from Cusco or Ollantaytambo to Santa Teresa to do this ($17 gets you one of the most beautiful and exciting drives in Peru.... easily 30+ water falls a long the way!) and staying at Eco Quechua Lodge.
Cons: I only have 2 little inconveniences to report....1. the WiFi is only in the common areas (and it is slow) which makes it a bit inconvenient for working etc. and the second morning no coffee... not a huge deal for me but for others it may be. It was a little bit more expensive then what I would normally spend but well worth the money and no regrets!
Pros: Janet and the staff are very nice and you can tell they do their best. The welcoming juice is charming. The common areas are lovely and the free fruit and infusions available are really great! The property and rooms are very beautiful, however the immediate surroundings are not on a good state, but this is not the lodge's fault. In general Santa Teresa is a humble town, so do not expect pristine roads and buildings around. On the other hand it has a charm of it's own and people are very friendly. The natural surroundings (mountains, river, birds ) are very beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of nice activities for a couple of days. Or... Just relax! Food in the lodge is also very nice, and also visit the fantastic near by restaurant Vallesanta!
Cons: There are a significant number of mosquitoes around (this is nature), but some of the cabins could be sealed a bit better, in any case the bed nets ensure there is no problem during your sleep.
Pros: Beautiful view, cozy room, free fruits and friendly staff
Cons: Room was smaller than expected (the fotos make it look like you have your own little balcony, etc).
Pros: The free fruit was great, the facilities are good and most staff are friendly.
Cons: One of the staff members was not very helpful in communicating before our arrival. When we asked to order a transport to pick us up at Hidro Eléctrica, as announced in the booking.com, confirmation we were told that they are a lodge and not a "transport company". After that we did not hear anymore from that staff member. Fortunately once we reached the lodge everyone was super friendly and our stay was very smooth.
Pros: Great eco lodge! Wonderfull stay in beautiful rooms, lovely outdoor vibes and great restaurant. We have booked an additional night as we didn’t want to leave this place.

With a shared bathroom, rooms at H.Falcon also boast free WiFi. The rooms have a wardrobe. Popular points of interest near the accommodation include Machu Picchu Hot Spring, Bus Stop and Wiñaywayna Park.
Pros: Excelente location! It was easy to find.
Cons: I payed more for a female room, but didn’t exist! It is just a room in all property and I feld enganada. It really simple, just to sleep one night and if you have alergias, it will better take with you some medicine.
Pros: Private room is very good. Shared rooms need lockers and doors... hot shower. In the center. Clean
Cons: Bad wifi. Shared rooms need lockers for security
Pros: Clean rooms Hot water for shower Great location Great owner, very helpful lady
Cons: All was good!
Pros: - Great value for money - Close to both the town square of Aguas Calientes and the mouth of the town which you need to trek to to begin your hike to Machu Picchu - Lovely and helpful staff - WiFi available - Double room is in a good location at the hostel, very well decorated and very clean
Cons: - WiFi can indeed be a little weak at times as other reviewers have suggested - Don’t accept card for payment - No option for private bathroom and no breakfast option
Pros: I loved everything about this place. You cant get more central (30 seconds walk) from the main plaza. The lady who runs the place makes sure the bed sheets, dorm, and bathrooms are kept very clean. The shower was really warm and convenient to use. I stayed in the female dorm and it was probably one of the most valuable night I had in Cusco region.
Pros: Position is great, close to the main square and the bus stop. Staff is nice. Also wifi was ok. Hot shower all the time!
Cons: There is no kitchen, or breakfast. Just two rooms. The building is very humid, without windows. If you have to wake up early is not the right place to sleep because it’s noisy. Only one shower. No lockers, but it’s safe I think.
Pros: Immaculately clean. Two mins from train station. Curtains for bottom bunks. Lovely hot shower.
Pros: The beds are conformable, location is convinient.
Cons: The bathroom is too small, not enough charging outlets in the room.
Pros: Close to lots of restaurants. Room was clean, bathroom was decent. Given one roll of toilet paper and had plenty more in the toilet. Strong Wi-Fi.
Cons: Double room window was facing a clinic. Noisy neighborhood with locals being loud.
Situated in Santa Teresa, 10 km from Machu Picchu, Isma Hostel B&B features a bar and free WiFi. A terrace can be found at the bed and breakfast, along with a shared lounge.
Pros: There was a good communication with the property. Owner was kind and able to provide the needed information before the arrival. I got to the location after midnight and it was nice to do a swift check-in. No issues.
Pros: Good location friendly staff
Pros: Quaint little hostel, frequented pretty much entirely by travellers heading for Machu Picchu along the train tracks. The owner was immensely helpful in advising us on our own trek to the Inca city. He made breakfast for us early so we could get off to Machu Picchu when we wanted. He even helped us get our clothes washed by taking them to the laundrette hinself, as we didn't have much time in Santa Teresa. Really good value for money.
Cons: The sleeping area seemed to be constructed out of thin plasterboard, which meant the other guests were quite audible when we were in our room. Basic bathroom facilities. However, to be fair, considering how remote Santa Teresa is, we were generally impressed.
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff plus graet views and facilities make this place a pleasure to stay in!:)
Pros: The señorita was really kind (but speaks only Spanish).
Cons: I was surprised to find a quite rusty hostel but really quite and comfy in the end. Breakfast was not included and was 10 soles.
Pros: Lady who works there a sweetheart( sorry don't remember the name), She cooks a good breakfast and makes excellent coffee. Nice views from the second floor. Close to center. Booking.com state its locate 6ml from Machu Pichu. Not exactly understand how they calculate the distance, but from Isma B@B me and my husband we walk to the town of Agua Calientes exactly 21 km.
Cons: Stears ..going to the second floor dangerous in one point, I do not like a room, even we are only coming late at night, not spending a lot of time there, And for all of this
Pros: Very nice and cozy place with hot water and quite good breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only room where it was not that cold in Peru :)
