Good selection of food at breakfast, good service. Staff pleasant and not pushy or rude. Bacon and toms were a bit cold at breakfast but really well cooked.
Excellent staff. Very confortable room. Hair dryer accessibility great. Breakfast good. Evening meal poor - not healthy enough and no healthy options available.
Very comfortable bed, good-sized room, good restaurant, easy to adjust heating, close to Alton Towers! Slightly overpowering smell of some kind of cleaning fluid or air freshener in room, otherwise all good
The staff were extremely pleasant. One of our group was, regrettably, a bit embarrassing ( going to the reception wearing just a towel, loud, swearing ) The staff dealt with him totally professionally. One of the rooms had a broken window latch ( but still closed ) We were refunded £15.50 ( the price of two breakfasts ) to compensate for it. We were more than happy with that. I must have read wrong because I believed there was free internet access. It cost £12 which I thought was expensive for one night.
Room was clean and tidy. Good parking facilities. Good value breakfast. Staff very poor at explaining information such as you have to book breakfast on a weekend. Dissapointed that if we wanted to have drinks of an evening we were only allowed to sit in the bar area which consisted of 4 high stools which were already taken. Booked our room for 2 adults to find there was only 1 towel left in the room. The en-suite had approximately 1/4 of a roll of toilet tissue which wasn't re-filled through our stay. The room was right above the kitchen and the bins outside which constantly disturbed us with loud banging of the bins outside until midnight.
All the staff were very friendly, without exception, food was excellent and we liked the fact that we could order and pay for breakfast as we went along dependent on what sort of breakfast we wanted, ie, cooked or just toast and cerial etc., We loved everything
Clean, friendly staff, nice restaurant, only 10 minutes from Alton Towers. Very hot in rooms - no air conditioning and unable to leave window open because of traffic noise and we could hear the people in the room above walking around.
The only good thing is that it is close to Alton Towers Rude staff;you can hear your neighbours walking
It was close to a family party we were attending. The restaurant was attached to the hotel and the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Despite the fact it was bank holiday weekend and the hotel was fully booked they were understaffed in the restaurant. The staff there did a sterling job but the stress was showing. This was a shame as the food when it did arrive was excellent. Also I think the price of £88.00 for a room for two was high. Breakfast was extra and as our son is 19 we had to book a room for him too. I have always booked Premier Inn because the standard of what you can expect is good, but the cost will make me look perhaps elsewhere next time.
We got the best room and the bathroom was very very nice, had the best shower. They were also very nice about our late arrival. The room was old looking and the bed and floorboards were very squiky. Also our room had a church right on the other side of the road and my boyfriend said it went off every hours and woke him up, i was so tired it never woke me up though.
Poor room heating. Preferred evening meals not available. Small car park.
a good breakfast & very friendly staff Did'nt like going through the bar to get to rooms& stairs very steep. The tv was so old & the picture was unwatchable. A hairdryer would have helped especially in this cold weather.
Good location The room was very old and very small. the shower was very slow running. the bed we had was very creaky and it dipped in the middle, not the best of sleeps. also breakfast finishes far too early and we missed it both mornings which was a waste. would have been better if it was available till 9.30. hotel room desperately need upgraded.
Clean and tidy with friendly efficient staff.
The hotel was in a good position for going out for a drink on an evening. It was in the centre of the town. The hotel was dated. The beds were clean and comfortable but the rest of the room and bathroom were not clean. There was layers of thick dust on all surfaces in the bed room. The toilet was clean but had to clean out shower before getting in.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our late arrival. Breakfast staff and receptionist were all friendly. The loung bar area was in need of a good clean. The 3 piece suite was very dirty through usage and had black dirty areas on the arms. The carpet was also dirty in the ground floor rooms. The bed was old, creaking and very lumpy. The breakfast egg and bacon were particularly greasy. There appeared to be no urgency to, the clearing of tables after breakfast guests had left.
Read the reviews and was nervous but no need to be as the place was mint... had a brill time..went with a group of special needs. everyone was helpful and friendly with us all. would def stay again... None was ace
Staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast prompt and cooked well. Light over the bathroom mirror not working (reported on leaving). Kettle not working (receptionist acquired a replacement). No decafinated coffee available at breakfast. Bulbs in 2x table lamps and room ceiling were too low a wattage to allow comfortable reading - they aslo make the room look even more dull.
