It was very easy to arrange and we just wanted a bed for the night which this provided.
The walk across a dark car park for an evening meal.
Good position for business. 24 hour check in is useful
excellent location for where we were going, convenient, good service, no dramas!!!
Staff was excellent, very helpful. Walking distance to Britannia. A good value for what it was, breakfast was adequate. I would think most of their customer base are football fans, so not to have sports channels in the rooms or at least in the lobby is a service they are missing.
Great staff And Rooms were very Tidy.
You get what you pay for. It was clean and the staff were helful. The pillows were very hard. We booked for a double but on arrival to the room discovered two singles. They couldnt move us as was fully booked. Not the end of the world. Also quite a few children running up and down the corridor. It was half term however.
You know what to expect with these hotels, so no surprises. Bed's were too soft and moved around on their wheels too easily. For the money they charge, they should offer a cooked breakfast.
All the staff were very polite. No, there was nothing we didn't like. There were young children with lots of energy who run up and down the corridor till quite late [9-9.30pm] and early morning, this did not spoil the stay, children do have to use it up in some way................what a shame we can't plug them into the national grid, think of the money we'd save!!!!
when we first arrived we were given keys to room number 001 and when we went to the room we saw a pull out bed and there was a smell in the room we then realised the room was also used as a conference room so we imediatly rang to ask for another room then another couple from our party were opposite a strip club and the noise was atrotious
it was well situated and had on paper good facilities staff were totally disinterested, particularly in the bar area. everything was very run down.
Hotel near town centre Beds in poor condition
The room was nice and spacious for a single rate and the restaurant food was good The leisure facilities were small, old and limited. I booked this hotel mainly for the leisure facilities. Foreign restaurant staff who had limited English
Nice bar staff. uncomfortable bed.
the room was spacious clean comfortable and ideal for my family ,it was perfectly situated, the hotel staff were very helpful.
Smell of tobacco stale smoke in the room. No towel rail, no toilet roll holder
Staff were friendly, but did not know much about the area. Room was booked as family room, but stank of stale tobacco and BO. The hotel is 'tired' and really needs decorating and bringing up to date. The staff are ambivalent, not local, and don't really care about their jobs/guests. When we commented on the smell in the room the reply was" what do you expect us to do about it, change all of the curtains etc. The ban only came' in this month?" Not really what we expected to hear. The food was definately of the boil in the bag variety', and that included the ice cream, which had never seen any liquid related to cream what-so-ever.
easy access to local attractions decor needs updating
Excellent staff attitude and willingness to help, Room very clean bed comfortable Four rooms were booked and these comments apply to all Rooms were far to hot, floor boards creaky, showing sign of wear and req decorating water pressure low
Staff was friendly. Room space large. The fact that they made me pay for my breakfast even though it was included in my booking.
The breakfast was excellent. Breakfast waitress first class.
This is a clean and modern hotel -- probably the best in Stoke. Very welcoming and efficient reception, plenty of parking, nice bedroom, excellent breakfast, very good sauna and steamroom. Air conditioning control did not make any difference to room temperature.
very nice, comfortable and easy to reach.
Excellent location; welcoming and helpful staff especially those on reception; delightful entrance area creating an open and professional ambience; very comfortable and spacious rooms; good car parking facilities: a nice breakfast despite the consistently cold bacon!
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms clean and tidy, the food was very good. none
The pool was nice, big gym, food was nice and resonably priced, room was quality.
the hotel was fantastic, it was clean and spacious and ideally located for motorway access. it was in close poximaty to alton towers (its just a 30 odd minute drive away). the staff were very friendly and proffesional and we could not fault our stay . the hotel has its own pool which can be used by guests at no extra cost, however directly across from the hotel is an indoor pool facility called water world.this hotel definetlyl deserves its four star rating.
As a business customer the facilities were excellent.
Location, right next to the train station The room was very old fashion and the sink was in the main bedroom
Hotel staff was very polite & helpful with any special requests. Nice size room as compared to other British hotels. Bathroom facilities were especially nice. with jacuzzi tub. Both breakfast & dinner buffets more than adequate. Great value for the price, and excellent location directly across from train station.
the room I was in was clean enough in the bathroom but there were a lot of moths in the room and the carpets could have been doing with a clean on the outside edges and behind the beds and cupboards
Breakfast was nice. Room was very dated - could really do with updating. Would like to have had a temperature thermostat in room to adjust to my own needs.
friendly staff and good breakfast Nope!!
Staff helpful Tired old hotel, in need of some tlc. Room was cold, had to have extra heater. Taps moved when turned on/off. Walls very thin - snoring could be heard from room next door!Bed lumpy and uncomfortable. Breakfast the first day was cold - due to a wedding beng set up in the normal breakfast room.
staff friendly and helpful my room was on the 3rd floor. It smelled like it had been used for years by smokers. The furnishings were old and dated.
Helpful and friendly staff. Good central location near Stoke railway station. Room we had was slightly dated and tired looking.
The room was actually rather bigger than I had expected and was very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. There was quite a bit of noise from the floorboards. I was aware of how they creaked under my feet but was even more aware when the guest staying in the room above me returned home late and was fairly noisy. It was the same which woke me in the morning. Breakfast was a little casual. It took a long time to be served coffee. However, the dining room was a very spacious and airy room.
Good location and excellent value. Friendly and helpful staff.
The staffs service was sensational, they were friendly welcoming and talkative. I dont think I have had service this good in the last few years. n/A
the facililties swwimming, etc were good Lack of a mini bar in the room The food was very expensive . (20 pounds for a 3-course meal) and yet it was just like a normal pub lunch. It gets more expensive with the silly service charge ?
Excellent location for Potteries visits in and around Stoke. Good quality hotel with a good leisure complex at a very good price. Very minor....TV in the room, was old and not very many channels..i.e. not even Freeview channels
swimming pool and gym
Very conveniently located. Despite being near the M6 it was very quiet and a nice spot. Great for the Potteries or south Cheshire ( we needed both)Lovely breakfast. Efficient, helpful staff. It perfectly suited our short term requirements. Would have been over priced at the regular rate - as would breakfast.Don't think the hotel interior equated with the price we saw at the desk.Slightly shabby for that. Skirtings were very dusty The reduced rate and breakfast "vouchers" made it more do-able.
Quiet location. Good parking facilities. Good quality evening meal, buffet style. Were given a good price for having meal and breakfast.
Bar in front of the reception. Breakfast is ok with some range of selection. Restaurant was not good. Lack of selection, not good service. Convenient to take dinner at bar.
leisure facilities and breakfast we have two young kids but given a double bed and a sofa bed which. was crowded and we did not sleep well at all. As two kids did not want to share the sofa bed so one of each adult had to sleep with a kid. The sofa bed was small and too soft, not comfortable at all. I think the staff could have given us a biger room.
Only downside was cost of Breakfast. £12.95 is a bit steep when you need a minimal breakfast! It was more than a 2-course evening meal!
Good location, Big room, Good service from stuff Coffe Corner not clean enough
Good basic hotel.
We had a meal int he evening of our arrival in the restaurant next door which was good. Breakfast the next morning unfortunately was not any good at all. We waited 40 minutes for our breakfast which was not cooked properly one of our group had raw eggs on their breakfast. Definately would not return to this hotel in future. Staff not pleasant at all. 5 staff in the morning were sitting around while 1 girl ran around like a headless chicken.
Clean room nice comfitable bed Its getting ready for a bit of redecoration and no remote for the telly.
The spacious room
Spacious room with all you needed. The breakfast was very good except for the lack of marmalade and the a.m. service was helpful and friendly.. No staff on reception on arrival. When we found someone from the bar he was not very informative. Temperature was hot in some areas, cool in others.
the staff were very friendly and the hotel was very easy to find.
it was worth the money and the bar/restaurant was good
Convenience of location Accommodation very tired, needs a good freshening up; breakfast not starting till 7.30 is late for business clients with 8am starts elsewhere; expensive when breakfast not included given the standard of the accommodation.
Waiting nearly 1 hour to book in
Pleasant and helpful staff. The bed was too hard for my comfort, but may well suit others.
A well-run 'one man band' hotel, with spotlessly clean en-suite room; quiet; cheap plain cooking and a reasonably-priced bar. They even let me keep my bike in the room (I stayed the night before doing a cycle race, having traveled up by train). None really.
Location was ideal for our needs. I would recommend this hotel for certain reasons but overall, it was very average. The ill-fitting door caused a strong cold draught and the toilet flush was defective. There was no night porter.
Great food good accomodation very helpful staff
Friendly staff, nice restaurant attached Poor digital tv connection (crackling picture/sound). Room a bit basic for 4*
Very peaceful.. with exception of the window cleaner outside.. The room was clean.. modern.. very cosy.. but it was freezing cold.. not very inviting at all cause unless under the duvet you needed to leave ur coat on
Lovley location staff very efficient and courteous. Overall decor etc was very fresh clean and inviting and room was clean and just what you need. We will definately be returning to trentham gardens premier inn. The price of Breakfast could have been a little lower. We may have had one if it were. Breakfast a bit pricey
Staff amazingly friendly; exceptionally clean and well equipped room; lovely shopping area on the site. The toilet door is not really appropriate...frosted glass with no lock or seal...not everyone wants to share or hear toilet sounds!
Functional. Clean and modern compared to other hotels in the zone No bathroom commodities. Tiny bathroom.
Cleanliness. Comfortable bed. Excellent evening meal Bathroom - not keen on sink in the bedroom. No iron/ironing-board. Breakfast - insufficient kitchen staff led to congestion and continual delays of up to 20 minutes for cooked food. Queues also for toast and coffee tasted stale.
Generally the hotel was clean. Reception seating area and bedrooms were air conditioned. Breakfast was very good value Hotel is ideally located next to junction 15 of the m6 and it was easy to travel to various local locations. Gents toilets could have been cleaner.
Good standard of accomodation and breakfast. It beat other hotels with higher gradings stayed in during the same week easily. Staff were excellent, resolving issues of different price on booking.com and their billing system willingly and without fuss
Simple easy hassle free experience None
The resturant had a good menue to select from, and the prices were well set so that you did not feel you were suplementing the reasonable room pric. The glass doored toilet/shower room may not be to everyones taste, though as a spectical I enjoyed it.
Clean, spacious room, good shower, good bed n/A
Staff friendly and very helpful, room clean and comfortable, breakfast very average.
Quiet, good mannered staff and prompt service with excellent breakfast of traditional Staffordshire oatcakes, a real winner.
Food was very good. My room (207) was a little noisy and the bed was very firm.
swimming pool ,restaurant, quick response to requests. fair amount of noise late at night due to wedding guests
The hotel was comfortable and good value for money
Good location close to M6. Very quiet No
friendly staff room service was basic
Friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel. Lovely breakfast. Poor selection of food in the Oyster Bar especially for the price.
Friendly efficient staff, clean comfortable room, well-heated. Excellent breakfast with good choice of continental and English ingredients.
Easy access No tea bags found for a cuppa!!
Very Friendly Staff. Good Clean Room Food Very Good Quality But Most Items Over Priced
Staff very friendly. Hotel gardens beautiful. Food excellent Little things. I had to find some one to take my menu order for dinner. Breakfast bowls for cerial where not out on the table, and it took me 15 mins to find someone, in the end I asked the cleaner. the evening meal dished had not been cleared away from the night before. The tv remote was missing from my room. As the hotel was not full this could have been resolved by giving me one from another room.
Peaceful. Relaxed. Garden suite was lovely.
Pleasant, peaceful hotel.
It had a nice garden The address on the internet booking form was incorrect and took us to a destination that resulted in a 50 kilometer detour
The hotel was nice and informal, staff very nice. Although the food was good, it needs to settle on a style - the menu was a bit mixed. Saying that, the breakfast was excellent!
The hotel and room was very good.. The evening meal was very poor.
Room was clean with tea making fascilities, bed comfortable. Run out of kippers for breakfast but was offered salmon, good coffee.
Convenient for M6, well soundproofed, attractive grounds, clean rooms, spare pillows, friendly proprietor, easy parking Sense of being rushed at breakfast, no draught beer in bar
We stayed Bed and Breakfast and the breakfast was wonderful. Very good value for money. Also, the room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. We didn't have any complaints at all about our stay. It was very pleasant and comfortable.
peace and quite
Very comfortable and clean room.Nice breakfast and friendly service.Great value Internet connection was poor
Bed very cmfortable. Room clean. breakfast excellent. None
Good breakfasts; friendly staff; dog-friendly Lots of lace and frills on duvets, curtains etc
Great hotel, friendly staff, excellent value for money. An all round very good dog friendly hotel.
Very friendly environment and a nice homely feel. Also able to accomodate 5 in a room - a real plus for the family.
location close to M6
Location, pleasant cheerful service, very clean and presentable andgood value for money.
Friendly staff, breakfast was nice, and it was reasonably quiet The bathroom and could have done with a good clean
perfect location for my needs, always given a ground floor room which is essential with my gammy legs, which is always clean and suitable for my needs, i shall be staying there again on my return from France next may
Convenient location and good parking Restaurant was not open Sunday evening
You get what you paid for, I didnt want to spend much and just needed some heat and a roof for the night so for me it was great. The cold water in the sink didnt work and when I used the hot tap in the sink the shower temp dropped like a rock!
Friendly and efficient staff
Friendly staff Rooms need a revamp
restaurant food Room not cleaned dueing stay
We had an evening meal which was very good and had a good breakfast - The bathroom could do with some attention - sprucing up - a toilet roll holder and a bit cleaner - the grout round the tiled area to the bath was a bit cruddy - but overall for the price and to say it was only 2* it compared ok
price hotel parking was booked by football fans
The hotel is convenient for the Brittannia Stadium and only 10 mins walk, although recommend taxi for return after dark, as quiet footpath en route. Wiifi is available in bar but not in rooms.
Very comfortable room with lots of space and good views. Quiet location of hotel made it easy to relax. Obviously busy in bar and restaurant on Saturday evening confirming confidence in hotel. Toiletries not renewed after first night.
Manager and staff very friendly and helpful. Good quality breakfast. Shower screen in bathroom did not fit tightly enough to stop water leaking onto floor
Had a most enjoyable lunch with friends. We all 3 chose different meals which were all served at the same time. I stayed on alone and found the staff very helpful and friendly While we were dining the bar was rather noisy. I don,t think the bar staff were aware how much noise it made when dropping empty bottles into container.
Very friendly staff. Lovely welcoming hotel with relaxing atmosphere. The only thing I would say is the mattresss in the room was to soft I seemed to roll into the centre as my partner was heavier.
The rooms are decorated superbly, with rich materials and colours. The facilities in the room are fantastic. The service is 'sopt-on' and the food is divine. The reception area is not clearly defined from the bar area. Another couple had access to our room - fortunately, whilst we were in the room.
Excellent room, over a very special pub. Food was excellent and a fine selection on wines and beers. None whatsoever
doesnt live up to its 5 star rating. Very overpriced accomodation for an inn - booking in took place in the bar and girl had trouble find our reservation, which had only been made the day before. Have definately stayed in better places for alot less money room and having spoken to another guest and saw their executive room, we then complained and were moved another room, which was executive and what we had booked in the first place check in and location
Friendly, welcoming staff with sense of humour. Good knowledge of local area and events. None
Great Hotel, wonderful, friendly and accommodating staff. Very high standard all over the hotel from the rooms to the service.
Excellent bar, restaurant, room. Staff very helpful, friendly and attentive Mix up with key coding delayed check in which was a minor annoyance
The re-furbished areas are good The non-refurbished areas less so but efforts were made to explain and the price was fair
lovely room and beautiful hotel
Easily accessible from the M1
Central to travel routes, good parking Bar prices were pretty steep, 2 double vodka's a can of redbull & an archers and lemonade - £17 plus! Defeats the object of looking for a cheaper rate on the internet with such high bar/meal prices. Though the staff were extremely friendly and happy to help.
Need good decoration upstairs where are the bedrooms.
Staff delightful, bed very comfy, prepared to be flexible when we arrived early, good breakfast Unable to turn of radiators.... Very hot. Had to open windows.....very noisy (loose manhole cover on the road outside driven over every few minutes) had to shut windows.........very hot etc., etc.,
Nothing - it was dreadful from the moment we walked in . We arrived late due to the weather - got there at 8.45pm . At the check in desk was 2 people arguing with the reception man about a bill for drinks - the couple were swearing & vulgar . We had booked 2 executive rooms . One of our couples got a room that was tiny - much smaller than advertised but when the called the reception the man said he thaught it was an executive room but we would have to contact them another time if not happy . The other room was large but cramped with furniture . There was no heating & it was minus 8 outside . We called the reception but the man said he couldnt do anything about it . It was by now gone 10pm so we had no choice but to stay in freezing room & a room that was tiny . What a dreadful hotel .
Spacious room in a wonderful old building with loads of character. Friendly staff, always keen to help. Building and rooms a little 'tired', albeit warm and comfy. Bar meal disappointing.
was nice and warm and comfortable the tv in the room didnt work we reported it but nothing was done
Excellent customer service. Our 2nd room Had a curtain down and they were promptly changed rooms Not enough hot water Bar food expensive but poor
Very friendly welcome and helpful staff
Friendly helpful staff Inadequate hotel parking and the rooms need the decor updating
Staff Food - the evening meal was terrible!
The breakfast was good value - cereal, toast and a full English for £5 The hotel was clean and tidy but rather 'tired'. The shower was hot but not hugely powerful. The room was very warm - but then I find all hotel rooms have the heating on much too high (and I like being warm). We asked for a triple and a twin room and I rang up to find out if the Triple was a twin plus single or a double plus single. I was assured that it was a twin plus single (as we wanted) but when we got there it was a double plus single.
Room was lovely, very big with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom with good facilities. Hotel itself was very grand and nice. Bar had a friendly atmosphere with a quiz on the evvening I was staying there. Breakfast the next morning was very nice as well. Tv remote didn't work at first, but this was soon replaced. The signal was also very bad to the tv as there was only a small portable areial. The staff generally were very nice and attentive, but did look a little perplexed and amused when I asked if I could have dinner in the bar rather than the deserted restaurant. As a lone traveller I didn't really want to sit and eat by myself in a big empty room. Dinner itself was also not quite up to my expectations given the price. Area the hotel is in wasn't that nice either, but was close to where I had to be the next day.
Nothing, I would definately not reccommend this hotel to anybody! Charged us twice for rooms! Didn't sort this out until we threatened legal action! Very unwelcoming, blood stained walls, horribly dirty carpet, bedding, broken bathroom doorknob, window was broken, rooms were really hot and smelt like indian takeaway? Breakfast was horrible. Told us when we arrived at the hotel that we only had 8 rooms booked, after we left they charged our card for 10 rooms, whereas we only used 8! Yes, this is budget accommodation, but I didn't expect this budget, would have been better staying at a hostel!
No food available. A pity because the bar and dining are lovely and there are very few restaurants near by.
The hotel was dirty and in need of a serious refurbishment. In the lobby, there was a distinct smell of someone smoking drugs. There were several members of staff stood around here, but i would not like to speculate as to who was smoking. I would advise against staying here. I am a contractor, and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, with over 15 years experience of hotels.
The sheets were clean, and the water was hot. The staff were friendly. Everything in the room looked "tired" and the room smelled of smoke. There was no plug in sink, the light over the mirror didn't work, and the toilet required 3 or 4 heavy pushes on the flush before anything happened. The windows were dripping with condensation. The bedspread looked very grubby. Our "continental" breakfast was a piece of soggy toast and a cup of tasteless coffee.
good clean atmosphere. hassle free. very basic breakfast. no remote controls for tv.
staff were freindly condition of room
the hotel was not much, but thats what you get for such a cheap rate, but dont get me wrong, it is still alright for people who dont mind not having the usual hotel luxury -not any that i can think of-
Easy access for Trentham Gardens The heat in the rooms was a little unbareable, the window was open but the noise of the traffic and trains meant the windows had to be closed during the night. The radiator was on a very hot temp in the hall outside our room. We did feel that the one part of the hotel looked a little fresher & newly decorated as it smelled very nice walking through the hall, but we were put into the older part of the building which I think until recently was the smoking rooms. This part was a little staler smelling and the doors were very old compared to the newly decorated part of the hotel. The hotel was not full at the time,so I wonder why we were not given rooms which had been decorated. On the whole it served our purpose as we were only there for a short stay to go to our daughters graduation
it was homely
the marriage of my friends i found some of the staff quite arrogant
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A very comfortable hotel with good food and attentive staff. Very conveniently located just off the M6 in pleasant surroundings.
The food was of a good standard with excellent service The decor in the bedrooms needs updating
Prompt service and when my colleague had an issue with the room it was dealt with
Great staff, Great food Showers a little bit weak
Very friendly and helpful staff, basic but nice rooms.
Breakfast cooked to order.Pleasant gounds.Open reception area. tv worked.Window could open if I wanted. Nice outlook from bedroom widow. The hot water is not hot enough. After a long drive I wantd to soak and could not do so. Try it yourself!!! This may be masked for shower takers.
The friendliness of staff
Cleanliness and good food. Difficulty in understanding restaurant staff.
