Great staff. Friendly!! Was a bit tricky to locate location as it is in a hotel. Would definitely rent from them again!
None. We Ended up not taking the car and got an Uber because they required excessive insurance. I had actually bought extra insurance at booking time and we have insurance through both our credit card and our car insurance. We rented car so often and never bought extra insurance because of the ones we already have. However, U-save did not accept it. For a one day rental the cost exceeded several Uber trips so we gave up the rental.
Reserved a Nissan Rogue or similar. Received a minivan. I was misled to purchase the Sun Pass for $164.53 (I went with my MD EZ-Pass, and I was told that it would not work, which I later came to know untrue).
No one picked me up at the airport and when I phoned them, nobody spoke English. Finally, I had to phone headquarters and they couldn’t help me. So I called again and was told that they are closed today. This is after I already made my reservation. Don’t waste your money with them. If the price is too good to be true, then it’s because it’s a lousy business.
**BEWARE** I’m not usually a write a review type of person but my experience with them was so bad I had to. So let me start by saying that I am Canadian and took a trip to LA with my wife and we had everything prepared prior to arriving at U-save. When we got there there was a few people in line so they handed us a paper with a clipboard to have everything filled out and ready by the time we got the front of the line. So we did. We did get liability and collision insurance prior to going and even had proof of our U.S insurance but they wouldn’t even look at it and stated it was impossible for us to get insurance because we are Canadian. And then they said it was impossible for us to get a U.S insurance because we didn’t have an American drivers license. They said we HAD to buy their insurance which was conveniently more than the price of the car we were renting. Even our insurance company (who we had on the phone) thought these people were just con artists. Not to mention through all this the manager who happened to be there was extremely rude. Anyways if you go with this company just be prepared to pay much more because they will come up with random charges.
Shuttle from Airport was clean, updated, and driver was courteous Phone number was answered at least ,50 percent of time by agent at the local office Downsides... There was an Extra airport surcharge that was NOT disclosed on the initial pricing for rental. I received email from company, said deposit for car was 250 with major CC, 500 with debit card, and as much as 2000 with FL residence. When requested insurance, stated policy, which was NOT disclosed in email, was that to use own Auto policy, deposit increased to 2000 for rental. Advertised vehicle was Toyota Corolla or similar... Recueved Mitsubishi hatchback... Was minimalist vehicle. On day of dropoff, front desk staff was ALSO shuttle driver, so under staffing for service also an issue.
