I was not able to pick up my car. My credit card information was already in my profile but my physical credit card was safe at home. I had my digital cards on my phone but was not able to complete my transaction, leaving me without a car. I had my driver's license, which matched the address, license number, charge card number - which matched my digital card - on file in reservation in the system. The only thing that I did not have was the physical card. Even more frustrating, the agent was unable to show me in any of their policies that a physical card was required for pick up, but, according to him, it was there. I looked on my own and was unable to find a physical card requirement but was still refused a vehicle. I was in town for 2 days to attend a funeral. Pulled up the online obituary, which listed my name matching my driver's license and was still refused. Flew in the day of and missed the evening service. This absolutely sucked,

Did not have a flight so I could not use the debit card at the airport, fine. I called the customer service and asked them were I could rent with just a debit card and they gave me a non-airport location and reserved a car, I'm half way to the rental location in the uber and they tell me they won't rent with a debit card even though their hq said they would. I informed them that I checked on that specifically to ensure they would take it before I showed up. They had no other options for me, no help, no discount on future rentals, nothing. 2nd time enterprise has screwed me previously they rented me a car that didn't exist weeks ahead of time and did not inform me that there was no car until hours before I was to pick it up. I had to leave my own car in Cleveland for a month. These guys are even worse than Avis, if such a thing is possible

Rep was cursing someone out on personal phone in front of us, he didn’t know if he had a car and then said he didn’t know what condition the car was in. Car was very dirty inside, gas was on empty so had to fill it up, returned it and they tried to charge me for half a tank of gas even tho I filled it up. Then said I should have taken a picture.

Computer systems were slow or something so the guy running the desk says. There was one guy working the entire line. He was multitasking so he was great but really needed more people working. Took over half an hour to get thru 4 rentals. My rental took 3 minutes to so I’m not sure what the other people’s situation was but I paid extra because I figured Avis was better. Could have paid 2/3 less and gone with Payless for probably the same wait time.

We waited in line for pickup for over an hour, having reserved and paid for our rental in advance. If we hadn't already paid, we would have never waited in that line and would have gone with a different company (perhaps the one without a line). BUDGET= excruciating line. Once an agent opened, we were done in 5 minutes. It's a hard NO for Budget.

Terrible. The rental was pre-paid, but Budget wouldn't rent without doing a credit check for the deposit. I have no problem paying a deposit and told them that, but I've had my credit frozen for two years due to fraud from a large data-leak. They refused to rent me the car without the credit check so I was stuck at the airport at midnight having to find anyplace open to rent me a car. Won't use Budget or Kayak again to rent a car.

Rented online only to receive a call of no cars available - I had to cancel my own reservation as Hertz would not citing I made the reservation and it was easier for me to cancel it - I am still dealing with the 3rd party car insurance provider to completely cancel the auto policy provided and paid for via Kayak but separate from the car rental - what a waste of time!

I like that Hertz is pushing forward with AI and the contactless rental. I was supposed to be on the Gold Board, so I could just look at the board and go find my car. I checked in correctly and everything was ready. But the flight took off 4 hours late, landing at 3:30am -- after the FLL rental center was closed. My (and other renters') reservations disappeared. Thankfully, Hertz brought on a human a little after 4am, and they helped the line of waiting customers. Hertz was able to match most people up with the car type they had reserved. What disappointed me EXTREMELY is that Hertz KNEW some of its customers were coming on that flight that now landed in the middle of the night... yet Hertz didn't send A SINGLE TEXT after the one saying they'd text us 1 hour prior to landing. It's as if the Hertz system fell apart. None of us (who were already exhausted and confused by the car-rental center being closed) received a text confirming that a car would be ready, nor that they knew our flight was coming,... Communication from Hertz just vanished.

Terrible experience. Would NEVER use them again. It took an hour in a very short line to get to even speak to someone at the desk. They were screwing around with us asking for auto insurance (which I don’t have and have never been asked for when renting a car, and my credit card covers rentals). They said my credit card coverage wasn’t enough. I’ve rented cars plenty of times and have never been forced into buying MORE auto insurance coverage. When my partner asked to switch the reservation into her name because she did have auto insurance, they told us that we could not do that. They also said we could not make a new reservation with them at the desk which was completely false as they advertised available cars to anyone who wanted to walk up and make a reservation. They took their sweet time despite being told we had a rush to the hospital for a family emergency. Completely lacking empathy and any sort of morals. I would never rent from them again. It was an absolute nightmare and full on scam.

Price was great, service another matter. Not enough people at the desk and wait were long. Got held up when they asked for certificate of insurance and I was never asked for this before. They also overcharged me for Tolls and when I brough the car back they didn't care that I had no radio/media all week as the volume was broken and the car needed oil and warning light came on.

woman at counter, when i arrived, was extremely kind and helpful. she set me up with the proper expectation and they pulled through with what they promised. i was given a new car that fulfilled all that i expected. i also received my deposit back in a timely fashion. i will be referring Ace to friends that go to vegas transportation was provided from airport and back i couldn't have asked any more than what i received.

Pick up and drop off was perfect and seamless. Expected a midsize sedan, which are apparently becoming closer to the ground. It was a low rider car. One suggestion: a short bullet list of how to operate of key features in each car. (Lights, wipers, brights.

I told them that ld only rented a car once in my life, I'm 74, my family and friends don't rent cars. My car broke down and I needed transportation. I'd rented a car from a online service, maybe yours, from Fox rental car company for two days and they changed me $29.99 per day for insurance when I had my own and so did Economy which add up to over $500.00 that I didn't know that I didn't have to pay and none of the people helped. After I went back to the rental car companies and they said that after I returned the car there was nothing they could do. What the entire car booking and car rental companies can and should do is created information banners on all of the websites with simple information on how to navigate a car rental. But I understand why there isn't that banner. Dishonest, disceetful, amoral people wouldn't want one.

The car was pretty stained up between all the seats. I was required to pay additional collusion coverage even after I explained that I had purchased the one kayak offered. Still, I was made to purchase the basic coverage. That should be explicitly stated. Other car rentals I've used have not added any additional coverage as required.

This location is not in the PHX airport car rental location. When I discovered this, I asked if their location was staffed by a human, since their web-based tool to pre-check in was a terrible tool. They said it was staffed. Once I got there, the human had nothing to do with the car rental business - they were a parking lot attendant. This business also asked for proof of car insurance. I have never been asked for that and that is not always carried on a person and a person doesn't always have their insurance login to retrieve it. Further, the AI assistant or "text human" was not helpful to resolve these issues, lied about the staffing of the check-in location and was terrible to deal with. I'm surprised kayak would even put this company on your platform. This experience will drive me towards booking directly with a car rental company - I can't trust your platform to vet your vendors for a reasonable customer experience.

Got scammed into being forced to use their liability insurance even though I had my own, which triples the booking price. Technically against California law, but they know no one will pursue it. They know you’ll have to take a shuttle elsewhere and spend hours rebooking a car, and they just won’t give you the car unless you pay for it.

This was the worst experience I have had with a company in a long time. My flight was cancelled, rebooked and then delayed again. I was dealing with a major snow storm up north, and trying to figure out my vacation for my family. This place refused to give me a refund or another car because I was marked as a no show due to my flight issues. There was zero compassion, empathy or patience and understanding. So they kept my money, were not helpful, were rude and it was not a good start to my vacation. I will never even consider using this company again.

I liked the entire process i happened to be the only one in the agency as I picked up my car to rent and it was a expedited process with a 3 page to sign and I was out the door, Brian the agent was professional and although I didn't know about the toll roads in Florida no longer accepting cash payments and was offering ez pass for 15.00 a day I declined that d/t avoiding the toll. They issued my deposit back to me very soon after I returned the vehicle.

I left a poor review solely on the fact that o booked a one way to get home from Birmingham. The website said I had booked it and it would be waiting on me. When I got to Birmingham, the counter said national didn’t do one day rentals - which is fine, but please don’t tell me the rental is available while I’m in Amsterdam and then when I get to the USA, find out there are no cars available. That was not a good experience. Granted 2 days of canceled flights didn’t help. I just want you to know so no one else has their car rental canceled and gets stuck like I did.

I was never able to pick up a vehicle. When I arrived, I was told they only had cars available for people with reservations. I showed them my confirmation number from Kayak and was told they only had cars for people who booked direct. It was after midnight and the other rental agencies were closed, so I went without a car until the following morning. Very disappointing experience.

I DID NOT GET A CAR. !! At least not from National. They told me they had no record of my payment online on their end. I paid ahead with klarna. I will say, there was a manager, FERNANDO, who ran around and called other places to find me a car. I had to ride share to a second location ( different company ( enterprise). I had to rent all over, so basically double paid. I don’t see any refund from klarna as of yet. I have previously rented with kayak and no problem. Just gave the credit card $300 dep. Big headache. No more National. They just kept saying don’t use 3rd party companies. I use Expedia regularly with no problem and have used kayak as well. It makes no sense. Now I need to get the charge off of my klarna account!!!

The first pickup was easy except the pickup car was not where it was supposed to be. It wasn't discovered until we went to the security location to leave the garage. We have gone to the correct space, but it turned out to be the wrong car. So we had to return the car back into Eurocar's spaces. The staff was very helpful, but we lost 15 minutes moving luggage and re-paring our phones. The big shock came when we received our full bill the next day. All the add ons that were not clearly spelled out were all there. That added about almost 50% to the final bill. I never saw so many add one in any previous car rental from any airport. Sorry, but next time Eurocar may be way down on my choices

Regarding this it was a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience when collecting my rental vehicle. Upon arrival at the counter, I was pressured into purchasing additional products and coverages that I did not request, agree to, or need. I was told these items were mandatory and that the insurance I already held through Expedia “wasn’t valid” and that I should “contact Expedia” instead. This information was misleading and felt deliberately manipulative. I was also charged for services I did not use, including being made to sign for items such as a bus transfer that I never took, yet was still billed for. The counter agent’s behaviour was unprofessional and unacceptable (sanoe). She was rude, dismissive, and gave me an ultimatum: either pay the added charges and hurry up as she can’t waste her time with me as customer waiting or leave without a vehicle and with no refund. This felt coercive and left me with no genuine choice. This experience not only resulted in unauthorised charges, but also ruined the start of my holiday. I believe I was misled, upsold without consent, and effectively defrauded.

Very poor service. I was given the wrong address for picking the car up so had to take multiple Ubers to and from the airport, hotel, etc. to get the car. Also, my flight home was delayed so I needed the car an extra couple of hours and they charged me $100 for that. Lots of hidden fees too that I wasn't in the mood to argue with them about. Just a horrible experience with them, but the car was fine at least.

Apparently advantage at MCO ceased doing business the weekend prior to my rental. And offloaded reservations to Zezgo rental cars. So the pickup instructions were wrong. It was in a different location. Even further away. Upon arrival. It was lined up out the door. Two people working the counters. The several interactions I watched lacked professionalism. After 25 minutes, I decided it wasn’t worth the effort. And departed. Be advised. Any monetary savings that might be perceived with renting from This company is not worth the time, effort and the inconvenience.

Pros: - cheapest option available, and a car is a car Cons: - car itself smelled odd (I suspect cigarette smoke masked by air freshener) and had visible grime in multiple areas of center console: staff advised that the smell was actually the soap they used to clean the car (!). - repeatedly tried to upsell us to a larger car and to charge us extra for a toll pass despite my explaining we didn’t need a larger car or a toll pass - advised we should pay more for a larger car as we were going to “the mountains”, again despite me explaining our trip would be entirely on interstate highways - tried to pre-sell us a tank of gas by stating they were “definitely” cheaper than anywhere in the vicinity. Transpires the gas station literally across the street was 10c/gallon cheaper. Summary: - cheapest option but expect a mediocre / dirty car and aggressive dishonest sales tactics

I waited in line for about 30 minutes and then had to wait about another 20 minutes for someone to bring my car to me. Other rental car companies figure out long ago how to have your keys ready for you and tell you which spot to walk to. A long line for check-in and filling out forms is beyond their control if many flights arrive at the same time, etc. But the process of getting your keys and walking to your car should be so much easier. My car was fine - the outside was noticeably damaged with scrapes and dents. If I hadn't already waited nearly an hour for it, I might have asked for a different car, but I didn't want to chance one more hour. On the postive side, the price was far better than most other companies hear DIA.

Worst experience ever, made us pay for their insurance even though we showed them our full coverage insurance. The lady at the front desk was being difficult to just be difficult. No one else had to do everything we did. SUCH A SCAM!!!!!! We thought this would be cheaper than on site at the airport but that’s how they get you! Don’t use them!!!!!!!!!!!

Customer service was ok even though she would continually stop to be on her cell phone. The quality of the van was horrible. It was dirty inside and out. Windshield had streaks and a film on the inside that we couldn't see through at times in certain light. Sooooo DIRTY!!! And the gas tank was empty. We told customer service and they said there was a gas station just up the street and that we should be ok. They didn't even come out to verify. Which means they knew the condition of the Van. We had to immediately stop, fill up the tank and clean the van windows and seats and run it through the car wash. The van also smelled of marijuana. DISGUSTING! We have never had this kind of experience with any of our rentals with other companies.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a car rental agency. The car alarm repeatedly went off when we tried to open the car with the key. We contacted the company and they refused to bring us a new rental. Their solution was for us to go to an auto parts store to replace fob key on our vacation. Also the blinker did not work. Then the battery went dead and we missed 1 hour of my sister’s wedding reception. Also the communication about shuttle pick up was false causing us to have to walk from car rental depot to get rental. The company also does not answer their phones. Overall horrible experience. Do not use this company!

This was the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. Their directions were to call a number when ready to be picked up at Atlanta airport. They didn’t answer several calls. After calling a number I found online I talked to someone in California who had difficulty accessing directions. After asking numerous people at airport where the pickup point was we finally were picked up. All this took almost an hour. When we arrived at the lot, we found AVR in a shack that was in a very large lot that was owned/run by Jiffy car rental. We were the only ones waiting for a car and it took over an hour because the lady was unable to get us checked out because she said they were having WiFi problems. Ultimately, I had to go on their website and input all my information again. Rediculous! The return was also time consuming and weird. I had to go to the back of the Jiffy lot, take a picture of the car, and send an email to AVR before they would pick us up. THE WORST! Never again!

I am very disappointed in kayak for supporting U-Save car rental that operates a scam near by FLL. This review is a warning to anyone who extended to rent from the company. They will scam you in daylight. Kayak needs to stop advertising low car rental rate on behalf of u-save….then for the renter to find out they need pay $600 at a rate $100 per day for insurance despite my full coverage Geico insurance. Please do use kayak

The price that they quoted us ended up being way more expensive on top of that they still haven't returned or deposit and it's been over 20 days, the car was in pristine condition we dropped it off full tank of gas nothing was wrong. The first time I called they said that it would be returned within 7 to 15 business days and that I could call back after that if it hasn't happened. I just called them and it's been over 20 days and he was trying to give me some excuse that they told him that it was going to be 30 to 40 days and when I asked him to clarify that he said he was going to call me back and he hung up. Terrible terrible company I really want a refund if I'm being honest I'll never use Kayak again if this is the kind of things that happen when you do

Dear KAYAK Customer Support, I am writing to formally complain about a recent car rental booking made through KAYAK. Upon arriving to pick up the vehicle, I was informed that the car was not allowed to be taken outside the state of Nevada. This restriction was not disclosed anywhere during the booking process, and had I been aware of it, I would not have proceeded with the reservation. As a result, I wasted a significant amount of time and was unable to use the rental at all. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that the booking did not include unlimited mileage, which further contradicted my expectations when making the reservation. Due to these undisclosed limitations, this booking was unusable and represents one of the worst experiences I have had using KAYAK. I believe this situation resulted from incomplete or misleading information provided at the time of booking, and not from any fault on my part. I am therefore requesting a full refund and an explanation as to why these critical restrictions were not clearly stated upfront. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter. Terrible service at the office. The wait to check in was over an hour. There was an endless series f confusing charges on top of the advertised price. Finally, there was a $2500 deposit before I could rent the car. I will never use this company again and will never recommend it to anyone.

The worst! Flight delayed, hard time to find a proper communication channel, was able to WhatsApp them about the delay, but when I got to the counter the guy started with “Since you didn’t show up at 6am it’s been 8 hours and we cancelled your reservation, you have to find an email from Expedia and fill up this and that”. I had no Expedia email, somehow made the guy stop with that and continued processing my rental but was a pain, 30 minutes at the counter to collect your information, trying to make you pay for their insurance even if my GEICO insurance binder says it covers rental cars up to 100k value and I had additional insurance through my American Express which charges me extra $17.95 for every rental car I book because they have this extra insurance. The guy wanted to read the contract to me. I signed it, you don’t have to read. Let’s talk about SHUTTLE…. Don’t rely on their shuttle. It’s bogus. Monday afternoon an 15 people were seating there on the ground outside 45+ minutes waiting for the shuttle. I ended up calling an uber as many did too. Be aware of the hassle. On drop off they have nobody to receive the car, you park there and leave the keys. If someone park beside and ding your door, you better have proof. 5 days later and the hold on my card is still there.

Pick up was not easy and then when we got to the location we got charged $315 extra because they refused to accept my car insurance (although online they said they would). I would have gone with a different company where I can pick up at the airport for the same price. Drop off was okay but not nearly as convenient as other companies. This kind of company should not be allowed to advertise on Kayak as their behavior was very scam-like. They super under-quote the price and then have high charges on the back end when you are in a remote location with little options but to accept their terms or be stranded without a car.

Once I arrived to pick the car up (shuttle never answered, so I ubered) no one was in the office to help me, and door was locked. Personnel had an emergency with another car for replacement. After waiting 30-40 mins, shuttle driver unlocked the doors and allowed me to wait inside...then proceeded to rent me my car over the phone talking to the owner. Total redemption!! Took a copy of my credentials and let me go about my way!!

Literally everything about the experience was terrible. It’s impossible to talk to a human, you can only ask them to text you back which appears to be some type of ai bot that says the same thing over and over. I advised them I would be delayed they told me to come ahead anyway, they had already given away my car, there were no other cars they knew that already and still advised me to get a shuttle to their office to tell me in person that I had to go back to the airport and book elsewhere. Totally ridiculous customer service, also all the pick up instructions are wrong they claim the shuttle pick up is level 3, adamantly. I wandered around level 3 forever until someone from Hertz assured me no shuttles pick up on 3 and all shuttle pick ups occur on level 4. They know this and won’t take 10 minutes to update their instructions. This is the worst rental company I have ever dealt with.

They advertised as “at terminal/on site”, but they are actually off-site and send a shuttle…supposedly. My flight changed. I updated them with the new flight number at 1:30pm. I saw that they read the message. At 10:30pm I got into Tampa. After figuring out that they aren’t on site, I tried texting and calling. No reply. I looked up their website. They close at 9:00pm! I call that number. I get a voice mail in Spanish that I don’t understand. After an hour of calling/texting these phone numbers, I cancelled my reservation. To this day, I never received an apology or even a phone call from them. I ended up having to pay 5x more for another car as a walk up at the airport. I despise Priceless, and would never recommend. They cost me money, effort, and time! Do not use them!

The pickup address was WRONG. I wasted 1-2hrs just trying to find the location. The email had no customer service line. I ended up finding it myself. There was only one person at the booth and she didn’t ignored me, so I ended up wasting another 30 minutes just waiting. The check in service was self serve but no sign even mentions that at the location. The insurance charge is slapped on last minute which is extremely annoying. The car I ordered wasn’t in stock so I was given a completely different one. The car itself smelled bad and the windshield looked like it had grease on it, so everything looked blurry while driving. Horrible experience using zezgo

I was required to pay extra for their insurance although I have my own full coverage which covers rentals. The only option was to pay $145 extra for their liability insurance or try to cancel through the third party I rented through and find a new vehicle. What a rip-off! $321 for 4 days for a Toyota Camry that stunk, rattled, and was not in the best of shape. I thought since the advertised price was $14/ day, plus the $90 insurance I purchased would be it. The girl at the desk told me that Florida requires this insurance and that insurance and this coverage. She lied. I found out after the fact all the things she said were untrue. For this price, I could have gotten a nicer car, with a reputable company, and felt so much better about my first-time renting a car in another state.

After reserving the car online, we were hit with many fees without proper explanation. On Kayak website it showed a price, but then in person it was 10x more, due to florida fees which weren’t explained. We got to the rental office and the lady explained the rental packages like 10 times to us because how poorly explained they were. Honestly just stick to another company that shows all the costs before hand so you don’t get pressured into making a decision.

Extra “fees” taxes, etc. Had no choice but to take what was given considering we were out of town and the rental car place is off site from the airport. Given a terrible vehicle. Dents, dings all over, needed wheel alignment, suspension squeaking, wheel shaking, had to fill up tires multiple times.

Right Cars is a scam company. I was unable to pick up the car due to the company consisting of two screens with remote customer service agents (no on-site assistance, audio was broken on one screen, and card reader was broken on the other). I ended up having to book a last minute rental through a reputable company at the last minute for a significant upcharge. Kayak should remove Right Cars from its platform immediately!

This was very difficult. I hated the entire experience Off airport is fine but talking to the agent through a screen in a small glass closet is not. Hard to understand made me worry about what the end cost was going to be. Wanted to charge me an addional amount per day because of my age. But then he said he could work a deal . Then he listed all the charges for car damage bla blah bla so scary. When he but the agreement on the screen it was difficult to read because of the font. By this time it's dark you cannot see if or where any damage to the car is scary again. Turned the car in on time wanted to get an all clear on damages to the car but that agent didn't speak English. Thank goodness for my Uber driver he spoke Spanish and got the all clear but no receipt. I will NEVER use again. Sandra

Very poor! We waited for over an hour for their shuttle to pick us up! And then we spent another hour at the counter trying to get our car. We had to cancel our plans because of that. They demanded a $1000,00(!!!!) security deposit, I had an 86 year old mother with me who was absolutely exhausted after all this trouble they put us in. They offered no apology whatsoever. They luck customer service. There were two other groups of people who went through the same thing. I hope I will get my deposit back!!! Will never rent a car from them!

They never came to pick us up at the airport and we had to rent a car from another rental agency. We were texting and speaking to them immediately after we landed and they kept telling us someone would be there to shuttle us to the car rental agency but no one ever showed up until they finally closed for the night and then no one would answer the phone when we called. The workers were friendly. The building where you pick up the car looks a little sketchy. We had trouble returning the vehicle due to their lack of not notifying us of their change of the drop off spot. When we arrived at new drop off spot it was closed. We called them again and again for a half hour with no response. It was frustrating because we needed to be at the airport for our flight.

Manipulated into having to spend an extra $755 for mandatory insurances and lied to about the sun pass. As we only went through one toll. They claimed there’d be soooo many. Gave use a low battery key fob and did not reimburse us for having to buy our own battery due to the stress of it dying and leaving us stranded. When asked for some customer service and compensation. We were ghosted through their email and then said they couldn’t help us at drop off and that I had to email the people that weren’t responding to us. I wonder if you guys could help since you made the deal so goddamn attractive online to only set us up for the trap we were about to walk into. Terrible experience. Won’t be recommending and will be actively trying to make people avoid their business unless I’m given some customer service at some point :)

The rental agency Victory would not agree to rent me the vehicle I had already paid for without taking 270$ of insurance, despite me showing proof that my personal insurance was covering me for any rental issues…Maurizio told me if I don’t pay it I cannot have the car! Then trying to reach anyone for drop off changes was very difficult and no refund offered on the insurance hen our trip was shortened and carrerurned 3 days early. Feeling scammed and disappointed

I was a little wary about going with a local car rental agency -- I've gotten cars that weren't clean or smelled smoky. Black & White were extremely polite, professional and prompt. I was picked up in an impeccably clean Suburban, and the car I got (Toyota Corolla) was very clean and worked well. As a female, some of these car rental agencies don't feel safe and seem sketchy, but this agency was not one of them. I would 100% recommend them again, and I will definitely see if they have a car for me the next time I need a car from LAX.

Friendly counter staff, but they were making everyone scan a QR code and give them a 5 star review before they would give you a car. Very odd. They also charged way too much for this car but I needed it and they were the only ones with cars. It’s a fine line between charging what the market will bear and price gouging. The car was smaller (and cheesier) than what I ordered. It was like driving a Coke can. Finally, when my plans changed and I needed to return the car early, they would not refund the difference. They cited a paragraph in their contract, which was literally far too small to read. Overall not a good experience.

It’s a scam. It’s super cheap when you book and then they pick you up at the airport, shuttle you to the middle of nowhere, and tell you it’s an extra $30/day required for their third party insurance or they won’t give you the keys. We ended up calling to complain and they did nothing except allow us to cancel and get a refund. I’m grateful for that at least, but even then they said they’re doing it as a courtesy and it’s our fault for not reading the fine print (which they don’t send until AFTER you pay). Go with Thrifty instead.

I booked an 8-passenger vehicle with Carwiz well in advance, but when I arrived to pick it up, they told me it wasn’t available. No explanation, no real apology — just a choice between a refund or a 7-passenger van. With 8 people and luggage to transport, we were left with no real option but to take the smaller van. As a result, one of our passengers had to sit on the floor in the middle of the vehicle — not only incredibly uncomfortable, but clearly unsafe and irresponsible. Carwiz put us in a terrible position and didn’t offer any reasonable alternative or compensation beyond a vague apology. This kind of service is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with transportation and safety. I won’t be booking with Carwiz again, and I suggest others think twice before trusting them with group travel.

What I liked: Despite it being a very trying time, the manager/owner showed compassion and kindness when my rental reservation had the incorrect pickup time and I did not have the extra funds to restart the rental. God truly moved on their heart — they dropped the fees and helped me when I really needed it. This was happening while my brother was hospitalized dealing with health issues, so their support meant more than they know. I am extremely grateful and can never thank them enough for stepping in during a time of need. I was extra careful to follow all protocols they saw my questions concerning the rental and was extra kind to easy my thoughts. I would rent again! What I didn’t like: I only wish they were open on weekends, as that would have made things a little easier just in returning home. Other than that, everything went smoothly even how to return the car.

rental was 300 but insurance was 700 + tolls were 200 those huge extra costs were nowhere to be found on kayak. on the website, insurance was 260 and the only reason why we did not buy it online (together with the car rental) is that terms were not clear, and we intended to discuss them in person. big mistake: since they charged us almost 3 times as much for insurance! And tolls? they wanted to charge us 25 dollars (plus the cost of the actual tolls, obviously) for every time we would take a toll road... that's crazy! basically we were forced to purchase "unlimited tolls" for 200 dollars, something never heard of. Besides the extortion, we had to wait well over 1 hour at the car pickup before victorycar empoyee picked us up. And they knew we had been standing there since second 1, because they immediately replied to out whatsapp messages. The car was fine, but the overall experience was bad.

They charge a low upfront cost then force you to buy insurance based on predatory terms and conditions. I’m over insured. Never had a single car rental company in 10+ years deny my person insurance but this one said it was inadequate and charged me over 3 times the original booking cost for supplemental insurance. I even rented a taxi to take me to the car rental and the taxi man drove me around around the airport charged me $40 and did not find a set car rental called them numerous of times never answered finally they answered pick me up 45 to an hour later went to pick up the car was not very happy with the car they wanted to give me so I had to walk out and leave and I’m just waiting for a refund. Absolutely terrible company. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have asked for a refund and had to go with a different rental upon landing in Florida. They tried to take a $3000 deposit even though we already had external insurance. They advertise that they're in the airport which they are not, and they didn't even offer a shuttle - they told us to Uber. Upon looking at reviews, many people said that they kept and wouldn't return the deposits claiming unreal damages. They also tried to do additional toll charges and other random shady things, that they communicated through text. Also, when they asked for the $3000 deposit, and we tried to escalate it since it was completely unheard of, they didn't say anything and changed the contract back to $500 without telling us (to delete the evidence). Terrible, terrible, terrible company. Pay more and go with a reputable service.

This is a predatory car rental business that adds many extra fees and a large hold on your credit card. There are several "different" car rental companies that all are the same parent company "NextCar." The car I received had several dents and scratches which I diligently took note of before I agreed to rent the car. After reading many many bad reviews, I warn others to stay away! The low price is merely a hook. You WILL pay much, much more. You are better off renting a car from a rental at the airport.

Worst rental experience ever. Waited over 45 minutes at designated shuttle pickup location outside terminal as noted in recorded directions, which said shuttle arrives every 15 minutes. Unable to reach live representative when tried to reach company on phone. Never saw Zoom branded shuttle thus had to pivot to different rental provider due to spouse losing their patience and two young kids growing incredibly impatient. The good: they had a car as promised. The not good: they lured me in with a “too good to be true” price a week prior to arrival; then informed me I needed to carry an absurd amount of insurance on my policy, otherwise I need to purchase their insurance at $35 per day. No effort was made to make me aware of this policy prior to arriving. By then you’ve taken the shuttle way outside the airport; and your basically stuck with a huge bill you weren’t planning on. Better to be upfront with customers re: the real cost of the rental before committing to it. But again, they did have a car available.

Staff was very friendly !! Car was clean and very reliable. Although I was not expecting an extra $230 in fees that I had to pay when I got there. I paid $52 for the 3 days I was going to be there when I made the reservation, but when I got there I had to pay an extra $230. They advertised it to be $7/day + tax which was a great deal so I jumped on it. Because of that I won’t rent from them again. I’ll stick with the rentals at the airport.

Disappointed enough to not request more of your services because I closed the business and when I arrived at the agency they demanded a new insurance and asked me for an extra $650. Everything must be dealt with before, both the price, requirements and documentation and when the client pays, the business is closed, and it is criminal that we cleinyes are surprised when we arrive for what we buy or lease. President Baiden said that these bad practices must end so that there is confidence and business is generated in the country. You are ruining the system. Now I want my money back in full since I had to rent a car elsewhere.

When booking the rental car it was not clear that the rental car location was off the airport property. Also, we were required to pay for a toll activation fee of $20/day and had to purchase insurance for $30/day. These fees were not disclosed until we got to the desk. Also, there is only an hour pickup window, and we were hassled because our flight was delayed. There is a $500 security deposit. The additional fees charges at the time we picked up the car were an additional $350 on top of what we had already paid to reserve the car. Do not recommend booking with this company.

This is borderline not a real company. I am not a regular car renter and just pick from the top of the list on kayak for price. The ad said "in terminal" which was more appealing than taking the train and long shuttle. Not only was it not in the thermal, after getting to where all the normal major brands were located, there was no signs, no indicators of where to go. This caused some panic. I referent the booking receipt that was so vague it had just an address. I asked one of the floor brokers and he said he would call the guy and send someone to get me and to wait at a bus terminal. It was not marked or had any indicators of any kind. At that time I looked up reviews and it made me sick. Never more than a one star. I rebooked another common brand on the spot and wasn't going that route..

The make you pay $25 per day for insurance if you don’t bring your declaration page from your personal car insurance documents with you. Nobody caries that while traveling! The insurance was equal to the rental fee

Staff did not understand the english language, desk was not at the airline terminal as advertised, could not get anyone to pick us up at the terminal, had to make a phone call to get someone to pick us up at the terminal, coverage I paid for was not of any value so I had to buy additional coverage, did not get a car I asked for, took so long to finally get my car I was 3 hours late arriving at my destination.
