8.0 Excellent
Pros: I really like that it look clean, I like the fire pit and the fitting room as well as the quietness where the hotel is located.
Cons: I didn't like that we had to walk a bit to get to our room because there isn't access to an elevator near by, and also that I had to stand in front of the window for being so high in order to see the beautiful view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and comfortable beds, black out curtains for sleeping after long travel
7.5 Good
Pros: We happened to be there while a wedding rehearsal was going on- and our rooms/windows were directly facing the patio and the exit/entrance door. Loud music, drunk people, staff, so much noise!!!! Had to be moved and luckily the staff was able too. Just not sure why they didn’t think ahead about the situation. Knowing there was going to be a 50+ party going on... Had unpacked, re-packed, moved. All with a baby too. Pretty annoying but glad they moved us with out too much discussion. My elderly parents, also on the reservation- had to repack and get moved...://

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for exploring OSU and the quaint town of Corvallis. Rooms were clean and beds were super comfy. Found it a bit odd that there was a balcony off our room (4th floor) that was open to other hotel guests. Opened the curtains and there they were! :) Free parking was nice too.
Cons: see above
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super nice, Super clean. Excellent staff!! Loved the off street parking and breakfast cart. It was awesome to be able to get my favorite Starbucks here in the morning. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in town.
Cons: The only negative - pool was small. My kids didn't think it was very fun.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: New, clean room. Very comfortable bed. Nice towels
5.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. The hotel was decorated beautifully, and the rooms were very large. The beds were comfortable.
Cons: Unfortunately, in my room the pipe under my sink broke and water flooded everywhere. The solution was to put a bucket under the sink because maintenance couldn't come until morning because they were fully booked. It was an understandable situation, but staff were sending mixed messages, saying they would call but then knocking on the door instead, and at 10pm with a sleeping baby in the room. The toilet also had hardly any pressure and could only be flushed only once per hour. The floors in the kitchen area were sticky. The pull out couch and cots were unbearably uncomfortable.

Cons: There doesn't seem to be good insulation between floors. You could hear every footstep walking across the floor above you.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was very large, clean (except the remote), and comfortable. It even had a couch. Room looked modern. There was a good selection of food at breakfast. If the weather had been warmer, we would have enjoyed the nice outdoor pool.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Close to Oregon State. That is the best thing about this hotel.
Cons: Very loud. Stayed here many times but never on the first floor. Near an exit door. Slamming doors all morning and night. Family above me was loud too. Would not stay here again if I had a 1st floor room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel with a great location at the Oregon State University campus.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The eggs were not fluffy, they were plastic jello.
Cons: The staff feels like they are always watching, probably because they have so many runaways after breakfast. Being charged for that abysmal service is a crime to America. Happy 4th, I feel betrayed by my country and what they call an “all American” breakfast.
7.5 Good
Cons: Was a nice place for a get away weekend. We enjoyed and had fun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and convenient to OSU Campus. Also a great bar.
6.8 Good
Pros: The property is nice but we informed the staff that the toilet was running and it cycled during the night. It was never addressed during our stay. We had to close the bathroom door to silent the noise.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view of the ocean. Clean and very comfortable.

Pros: When we first went into our room the queen beds were very saggy and unsupportive. We went and talked to the gals at the front desk and they made it right by upgrading us to a better bed and nicer room.
Cons: The queen beds are awful! Bouncy and saggy....they need to be replaced.

Pros: It was clean and in a reasonable price range for the holiday time we were staying there. We just needed a clean place to spend a night, no frills, and that's what it was.
Cons: Breakfast was very crowded, but it was the morning after July 4th, so it was to be expected.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money. Good breakfast. very clean and comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, well maintained, centrally located.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff at front desk was not very cooperative as you they have to give services to the customer from all over globe but I think they are not trained for this and especially the behaviour of manager is totally disgusting.
Cons: The location of the property is great and the lower staff is also very cooperative
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, nice rooms and comfortable beds. Great price, too.
Cons: When I received my initial receipt from booking.com, it said $197 for one night, when I booked for around $70 one night. The front desk was baffled, as was I. Luckily, I called booking.com and got it straightened out. But that was a strange experience.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great.

Pros: No breakfast, you said breakfast included. When I ask egg , they said we run out of it , you have to wait till boiled, waited so long no egg . The way the staff communicated me when I ask for egg was so offending. They should respect all equally.

6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Always love a hot waffle. The lady there in the mornings made sure to keep things stocked. Parking wasn't too far from our room, which was nice. Hallways/rooms weren't stinky like some hotels. (the musty old smell) Bed was comfy. Decent channels, though some came in fuzzy.
Cons: Our room key kept not working, so continued trips to the office, which was on the opposite side of the building. Once when we came back from a day away, our room key wouldn't work on the outside door, so we walked around to let the office know. When we arrived at our room door, it wasn't even shut all the way, and we notified the office staff member of this, and he didn't act concerned or like he even cared. Doesn't make you feel very comfortable leaving your belongings in your room not knowing who could have pushed their way into our room and went through our stuff. Did not like the noise of people going in and out of their rooms to go outside to smoke. Our room was on the end right where the door was to go in and out of the building. Very annoying having to listen to the smokers talking loudly outside all hours of the night and early morning. Did not like people bringing their pets into the breakfast area. Our fridge did not work properly. The ice in the freezer area wasn't even frozen. The toilet ran and didn't work properly. The towels were rough and didn't absorb well to dry off. The bathroom floor was super slippery. Not sure why, but it was like an oily film that made it slippery.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for downtown and the Saturday market. Good size, modern and bright room. Good wifi. Laundry facilities. Small indoor pool.
7.0 Good
Cons: Funky smell in the room when first arrived.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Walking distance from downtown with lots of restaurants nearby. Willamette river behind the hotel. Plenty of parking for guests. Clean and looked just like the photos! Good value for what we paid. Nicest Super 8 I’ve stayed in.
Cons: Breakfast was fine, mostly grains and a few cups of yogurt. Had a waffle maker though. Staff in the morning wasn’t the friendliest, but wasn’t rude by any means. Overall it was clean and suited our needs! Good for two people.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: What was offered was good. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy would have been nice.
Cons: Temperature of heating/cooling system had to control during the night
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location of hotel was nice, being situated along the riverfront with walkways. Upon arrival the front desk clerk was very pleasant. She had a friendly demeanor and made me feel welcomed.
Cons: Breakfast was so-so. Mostly cold items offered. Upon check out front desk clerk barely made eye contact. He acted as if I was an inconvenience to whatever he was doing. As a professional housekeeper for the last three years I was very disappointed at the lack of cleanliness within the room upon arrival. Also lack of amenities (basic, such as conditioner but no shampoo). Upon arrival couldn't bring my two small, older fur babies into our room. It reeked of marijuana residual. Also, carpets not clean. Borrowed air spray from front desk clerk to help dissipate the stench of pot smoke, along with opening window. I also sprayed carpets, along with bedding, to make sure no fleas. I bring flea spray along when we travel, just in case. Glad to have it with me, especially this time. My two older rescue fur baby companion animals are very well cared for. Didn't want them inside a room which would make them ill or flea infested. The location of our room was very noisy being within the 'pet zone' bottom level corridor. The smell of marijuana reeked along the corridor as well. It was strong enough to make me feel sick to my stomach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Continental breakfast was OK but not the best. Hard boiled eggs, bread & cereals but no fruit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, good location, good value
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a last minute booking and we found the room easily and was able to make the reservation without problems. Check in was easy. The room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Ice machine on the second floor would have been nice. Ability to cast to the tv would be great - the channel selection isn't the greatest. It would also be nice if there were USB outlets - the port on the tv doesn't work. The extra money for a city view was money wasted - didn't even look out the window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: perfect location, GREAT STAFF, pool, hot tub, quiet, COMFY bed
Cons: TV channels were fuzzy and not many channels to choose from
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Room was dirty with wall and door damage. It seemed to be very lacking in the maintenance department, all damage was simple fixes that are not being taken care of. Outside of our window seemed to be where the town homeless were getting high and living in run down RV's and cars. Will not be back.
Galaxie Motel - Philomath - Building
8
7.5 Good (105 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Philomath, Galaxie Motel is within a 10-minute drive of Reser Stadium and Oregon State University. Free self parking is available onsite.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The room was a decent size.
Cons: Requested a late check out and was told I had to pay $10 for each extra hour. I have never stayed at a hotel that doesn’t allow a late check out. Very disappointed considering I paid as much as if I was staying at a nicer location. Bathroom was only stocked with two shower towels, one wash cloth and one hand towel. Didn’t even have a floor mat/floor towel. The front desk was not open for us to ask for more. Our reservations included how many people would be staying in the room. Would expect that to be considered when stocking rooms with towels, wash clothes and hand towels. The shower leaked head sprayed water everywhere in the bathroom no matter what you did. The shower floor was very slippery and unsafe. Myself and my son almost fell twice when trying to shower the night we arrived. To say the least we will not be returning. Staff were very rude and unprofessional.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and close to the activities we would be doing.
Cons: No outlet in the bathroom to plug in a night light.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Too much furniture room crowded. Bed was not comfortable
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice enough room but thin walls so it was a bit noisy. Staff was very nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s located close to a few gas stations and a few stores
Cons: Didn’t really expect the room to be as small as it was but other than the room size, the bed was comfy and the shower was hot and clean.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Price, location, and clean
Cons: Room size
8.3 Excellent
Pros: No frills value for money motel. Good for an overnight stay.
Cons: Devoid of any pretensions to luxury. Room a bit cramped.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked my interaction with staff. Also the room was fairly comfortable for motel standards.
Cons: Can't recall any issues.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was convenient for us. Loved the kitchen sink!
Cons: A 4' Fluorescent shop light is a pretty terrible room light. Maybe switch it out to an LED? They're pretty inexpensive now and just as cheap to operate.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: No where on the web site did I see additional cost for each dog. Even though it's common, I would prefer to know in advance!
Cons: The heat didn't have a true temperature control. It was either cold or hot.
6.0 Good
Pros: location
Cons: single ply toilet paper, no facial tissues
4.0 Okay
Pros: It was on the way to where we were going.
Cons: They used the cheapest quality everything, and very little of it. For $90/nt, it was a shithole.

6.3 Good
Cons: TV didn't work for 24 hours. No one responded to phone or office visit
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything that was needed was there (basic not fancy) and the fan worked awesomely!
Cons: The door lock was jiggly, hard to open, and in need of replacement.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: The prices were double the normal cost to stay in this hotel due to it being a high-demand weekend. This is gouging and prevents me from EVER considering staying here again. Bedspreads had stains, which is unacceptable no matter what the star rating is.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This motel is a great value, nice and clean, but certainly not fancy. The beds and carpets have been upgraded, but it is still a classic good old motel. Great location for me. Air conditioner was awesome after a long day in the sun. Lots of hot water, great shower. Location is quiet.

Cons: parking could be better laid out but the lot is small so cant really hold that against them.

Pros: The 1 bedroom king bed suite was surprisingly large and the air-conditioning worked fantastically.
Cons: There were no dishes or silverware available to use so it made the kitchen rather useless aside from the large fridge.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good. Close to OSU campus.
Cons: The room was really outdated and had a horrible odor. I had to open the window to air it out, but then the noise of the street and some transients fighting came in. I never felt safe so I didn't sleep well at all. It appears that they are gradually upgrading the rooms, but this one was very old. Value for what I paid was ok, but unless and until they fix it up, I will not be back. The office staff were hard to find and the times I went to check in/out, they weren't there and a sign left in the window that they would be back soon.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was ok coffee and donuts from the gas station next door.
Cons: The beds were great
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Value
Cons: Not a thing was wrong...don't know where the negative reviews came from.
7.5 Good
Pros: Amazing staff! Super friendly and accommodating!
Cons: A lot of stuff was broken in the hotel room such as the toilet. And parking was super crammed. But overall it did the job!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super friendly. The location was perfect for where I needed to be.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the bathroom was clean and updated. Great location.
Cons: The room was like a cave due to its location.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The room had plastic chairs to sit on and no hot water
7.0 Good
Pros: The gal at the front desk went above and beyond to help with a problem in my bath. The bed was great, the bathroom was pretty nice.
Cons: The building is older, not in the newer part of town.

7.0 Good
Pros: The location was perfect for our purposes, as it was near the take-out area of the water portion of the Corvallis DaVinci Days kinetic Sculpture race. There is a really good Chinese restaurant located across the parking lot.
Cons: I had to work very hard to get the staff to answer during a late check in and the lobby was closed so I was waiting outside for some time. Combined with police activity in the parking lot at the same time, it was a little unnerving. The breakfast was coffee, juice and a few wrapped pastries.
3.5 Mediocre
Pros: the breakfast cost an extra 10 dollars each consisted of costco bought bear claws, coffee, and orange juice
Cons: breakfast
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very disappointed
Cons: Wall was cracked. Breaker tied to room next door. Could not use hair dryer at same time. Air conditioner didn’t work adequately. Continental breakfast was all carbs. Not good for those of us who were diabetic. Door was stuck on a daily basis. Room smelled.
6.8 Good
Pros: Easy to get to the property, right along the river for a good walk, there are many restaurants and cafes in the area.
Cons: They shouldn't list having breakfast as part of the amenities. Little Dolly chocolate rolls, Svenhards pastries and coffee that is lighter in color than tea don't count.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The room was a bit tattered and the bedspread should be burned. Front desk was ......not great. Breakfast was a bun and watered coffee and spoiled orange juice. Location is great along River and all the restaurants.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION. Walking distance to downtown, farmers market, stores and restaurants.
Cons: Breakfast was sorry. Coffee, juice, and small pastry.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was clean, close to a park by the Willamette River. Staff was friendly. Had a wonderful time.
Cons: Nothing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Close to dining options downtown. Low rates.
Cons: There was a giant bug on the wall outside our door when we arrived. The night clerk suggested just simply shooing it away, and only gave us a travel magazine after repeated requests for a stick or broom to do so with. The bug didn’t budge when I swatted at it with the magazine, and barely twitched a leg. We had to dash into our room as fast as we could, hoping it didn’t decide to join us. Before we got to our room, as we were looking for a place to park with our truck and moving trailer, someone who appeared to be on drugs was wandering around and seemed like he was coming closer to us. This close to downtown has its own problems. The decor was dated, with tacky lime green walls, “breakfast” was coffee, hot water for one variety of tea, apple juice and orange juice from a dispenser, and a selection of individually packaged pastries.
7.0 Good
Pros: The beds were comfy and it was relatively quiet for a room right on the highway
Cons: The bathroom door handle was broken and there wasnt enough lighting in the room. No breakfast
6.3 Good
Pros: Front desk was very Friendly!
Cons: Not going to bad mouth and I realize the room was prob the best value but could use serious update on mattress, more than two pillows and clean pillow cases. Room served its purpose.
7.0 Good
Pros: First of all its not a hotel, its a motel.
1.0 Poor
Pros: We did not end up staying. We walked in and it smelled of smoke so bad. My husband went to the counter and told the receptionist and she said it was not in fact a smoking room. Never offered to change rooms. We handed over keys and left.
Cons: The smell was so offensive, we left. No offer to switch rooms or anything. Completely disgusted with this experience.

7.0 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable, the room clean but outdated
Cons: Breakfast...could be improved. There is an alarm coming from a Buick Dealer next door which goes off all night. A automated voice which says..you’re trespassing and being recorded, step always from the property or enter your pin code. This was the most annoying thing. I’m surprised the city hall noise ordinance allows such an occurrence.
7.0 Good
Cons: It was hard to find from 9th street. Had to circle twice and go around back. Noisy; could hear banging of doors and people above, next door and across hall. Was great location, but a little "rough" near the bottle drop facility.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is great. 2 restaurants next door.
Cons: Ants on the nightstand. Could have been cleaner.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable furnishings, great staff, good at accommodating my meeds.
Cons: needs. Not open in summer season, appliances not working in bathrooms
6.3 Good
Pros: The Staff was friendly and nice. The price was lower than most of the other hotels in the area.
Cons: I felt the carpet in the halls were dirty. The room was outdated and the fan was missing in the bathroom. The toilet seat was missing 2 pads which made it lopsided. I wouldn't stay here again.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: Property is extremely old and is not kept in good shape. The first time I used the toilet the handle fell off when I flushed it. The door was warped and did not clear the floor when opening. Worst of all, there was a loud speaker outside that announced people trespassing that woke me up in the middle of the night. I was pretty disappointed.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was just fruit cold pastry cereal..with 90 a night I ld was expecting better food like eggs waffles hot cereal juice... the room smelled musty when first open the door..the pool was filthy and unusable ..hall carpet stained and filthy..ice machine broken..
Cons: Actually put in top box
7.5 Good
Cons: Convenient location to get anywhere in town. Staff was pleasant. However,.....Right next door to a recycling plant that has an alarm go off every night due to “intruders that are being filmed on camera”. So,...all night long you have to hear the warning to the trespassers. We also had a water leak in the bathtub and a STRANGE smell in the room post shower that didn’t leave the room (thankfully we did) until hours later.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool was clean and comfortable
Cons: No real breakfast
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfy, I had good pillows. The pool looked nice, but there were way too many kids, so I didn’t go in it...
Cons: I found a weird bug in my room and two sugar ants. It wasn’t a bed bug, but still... eeew. Also, I have two dogs, I manage to keep them from barking too much while in hotels. That’s the polite thing to do! The guest in the room next to me was gone til 1am, her dog barked the ENTIRE TIME. Literally... then random people were knocking on her door all night, which woke up my dogs and her dog..They were all talking SO loudly, I could clearly hear it thru the walls. It was AWFUL! I know the staff was trying to call her, while she was gone, but no answer. I was so frustrated, I ended up just leaving and not staying for the second night I had already paid for.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice personel and clean bathroom
Cons: It advertised breakfast. They had coffee, juice, apple, and oranges. Not really breakfast
1.0 Poor
Cons: When I checked in the room was dirty. I asked for it to be cleaned or moved to another room. Then both days I had a cold shower. It started out hot then part way through it was cold and never got hot again. Staff were not helpful at all either.
