Friendly owners, lovely location. Nice quiet area but close to a couple of nice pubs/hotels for eating/drinking. Roomy accommodation. Shower could have been more powerful, but still ok.
Its run by a lovely person who actually cares about the comfort of his clients. Breakfast is usually huge and tries to cater to your specific needs. Lovely setting and exceptional views all around. highly recommended..
Location suited us as we were heading for Inner Hebrides next day Reasonably set back from the road, room was quiet Good choice of food in the evening and good breakfast Our room booking was lost, so we turned up and just as well they had a space, although we had to take a twin room.
Hotel was great, staff were very friendly and food in the restaurant was great. A very relaxing stay!
Very good service from staff. Excellent food. Nice modern comfortable room. None
comfortable and friendly
Friendly and welcoming staff, food was good, Superior double very comfortable and location was spot on as we were on route to Skye.
Friendly staff, great room (room 1), good food, sandwich making packed lunch service for walkers.
Lack of choice on the menu - only really expensive dishes that might not appeal to those with a bit less money. How about having a bar menu of more traditional, straight forward meals at lower prices?
The food was well presented and good Scottish Fayre Only dislike was that the double room had no hot water in the morning which was a disappointment
The building, the setting, and the food. Also, the staff was excellent in every regard. The price... but that may just be the UK.
Room was very nice and comfortable and I liked that it had a bath and not just a shower after a long day's walking in the hills. Food (dinner and breakfast next morning) was also very good. Staff also allowed me to stay on in residents lounge after I'd checked out whilst waiting on transport. No staff at reception when I arrived and although a sign directing people to bar if no one at reception, no one was in a particular hurry to get me checked in. Minor though compared to relief at reaching destination and service thereafter was good.
plesant helpful staff, Good food , Good choice of food, Bedroom -tastefully decorated- bathroom excellent.
The hotel was located adjacent to the road I was travelling on and was approx half way between Fort William and Glasgow. The couple I was travelling with did not have any ventilation in their bathroom.
Complimentary drink to make up for bad point - see below! Toilet in en-suite facility had not been cleaned and was very badly soiled. Excuse given was shortage of staff. Spoilt our initial experience of an otherwise much-improved hotel at Crianlarich. If it continues to improve you should get another star.
Upon arrival I asked if we could change rooms which the receptionist was happy to do. we were offered a large room which was great for my 1 year old crawler. breakfast was really nice and the waiter was very friendly. the room was a bit old and in need of a refresh.
As stated above I would say the bar meal was a wee bit over the top, and pricey
Warm & cosy bar & restaurant Quality of evening meal.
The staff were very nice and helpful. When I phoned to say we were arriving late we were offered sandwiches to be made up for us which I thought was excellent customer care.
nothing the confirmation of booking.com was not valid, they sent a direct mail not confirming th ereservation, I was not connected to get E-mais I did not know !!!!! single instead of double fine but the bath did not work!
Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Bar and outside area was good. Decor in room was poor and needed redecorating. Paper peeling off, carpet not very clean. Food in restaurant very expensive.
Although only staying for one night, we were impressed by the warm welcome and friendliness / helpfulness of receptionist, friendly waiting on staff. Hotel could do with modernising, breakfast service slow.
We liked visiting Inverary and surrounding towns and villages as the Arrochar hotel is perfectly situated for this.
Overall, the stay was pleasant, reasonable value and the food very good in nice surroundings. Staff polite and friendly. Nice view over loch, which I had requested. Very noisy above the function room when evening entertainment on, til around 2230. Mattress quite lumpy. Some squeaky floorboards. In need of refurb really, quite a tired feel though not unpleasant.
Staff were very friendly. Though we only had breakfast there, it was very good. The room could have been cleaner, somewhat dusty.
The location is perfect!! We had no hot water for more than half our stay and only a half hearted apology from staff
Helpfulness of the staff and also the beautiful scenery...a great spot for mountain goats like us. super alpine walks and climbs.
friendly staff and perfect location to explore the sights in the loch long and loch lomond area.great intro to the highlands.
Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Amazing views over the Loch.
Hotel very much in need of modernisation. Rooms were of a poor standard, member of staff in reception on arrival was very unhelpful and unpleasant.
very helpful staff
The staff are welcoming very helpful and hard working. This is hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and is let down by the Oxford Group. Its stunning location and views should warrant more investment by them.
We were luckie with the room. It had a wonderful view to the river and mountais.
first class service, lovely location, friendly staff, excellent food, i will recommend the hotel to anyone and hope to return next summer. poor t.v. reception but not a big problem.
This was the fourth time I've stayed at Killin, and once again the food and staff where great Had a lovely room, but the mattres could do with a wee change, seen better days
loved the place, just needs a good clean and a bit of maintenance.. would recommend and stay again. staff were exempklary. pay rises all round. many thanks just a wee bit grubby in places.
Great location and very friendly staff
The rooms were clean and comfy and the included breakfast was good in the morning. The staff was very helpful and the village was beautiful. Because this is also a bar/restaurant, parking was kind of a pain. Also, we had a flood light outside our room shining on the sign all night that was a tad annoying, but I would still recommend this location.
The hotel staff were very friendly and there was a good choice at breakfast. The evening meal was very nice with a good menu. The hotel has a nice open fire which was great since there was about 6ins of snow outside. The shower was lovely and warm which was great after a day on the hills. Shower room could probably do with a bit of an upgrade but since we paid a bargain price I wouldn't complain too much.
Comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff.
A lovely hotel very plesant stay great food and welcoming staff, especially the Australian girl on reception. This hotel has a really warm feeling and I certainly would go back. Our room had a lovely view for a great price. The front rooms experience some noise from the neighbouring pub
Food - quality excellent and good man size portions. Bed - lovely comfy mattress. Covered smoking area. Very noisy water pipes - couldnt hear tv if bathroom was in use. Room itself was cold, pretty 'tired' and spoiled by cheap furniture. Also significant late night noise from the bar below. Upgrading is in progress however and we'd like to return for a future visit when this is completed. What has been done so far is excellent.
The staff were very friendly and helpfull and the food was fantastic!!
Friendly staff and good value
We had a very nice cosy en-suite room in the attic (but our friends had others that were quite small). The pub staff was very friendly. Food: the restaurant only serves bar meals (didn't eat it, but it's a missed opportunity), the breakfast was mediocre.
Friendly helpful attitude of proprietors Not keen on dogs in the dining area of the bar -although could probably havev eaten in the dining room if I'd asked.
Staff friendly and welcoming There were no bad points
Good location in Killin, easy to find. Free wifi and good breakfast.
Super room - Dochart with excellent fittings & views.Very good breakfast. Friendly staff None
The Hotel was spotless and very relaxed and friendly we will go back
We liked the relaxed, easy atmosphere and great breakfast. There was nothing we didn't like
Friendly staff, good beer Twin room beds were end to end as very small room
Great value for 2 * None
Very comfortable , friendly owners and excellent breakfast.
We loved everything, it was clean and tidy could not fault anything. Nothing.
All staff were helpful & friendly. Service was excellent. Food was lovely.
Nice large room with nice roomy modern bathroom.excellent staff breakfast and dinner very good. Lot of noise from staff quarters above our room tiil late into night.
Friendly and helpful staff and management and real, open fires. No.
Single room was nice and cosy, shower excellent. No complaints>
A very friendly and relaxing atmosphere with superb food and our room over looked the river Lochay and the bridge with a heron in situ for a lot of the day. Be prepared for a very old and quirky building and you wont be disappointed. A bit too far out of Killin to venture in on foot. Sits right on the edge of the main road but then thats would you expect from an inn of this age.
the food was very good esspecially the selection avaliable at breakfast and the staff were fab the plastic roof on the residents lounge makes a lot of noise when it rains but im being picky!!
Nice, Clean, Friendly, with great location by the river. It was a pleasure staying there. No
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent - modern furnishings and a spacious bathroom. Food was good.
