New building hotel, clean rooms and very good diving centre Staff wasn't professional
Great hotel with an amazing outside shower in the rear patio and views to the sea. The sun loungers were so uncomfortable other than about 30 of them then we ended up going out quite a lot. Beach was also quite stoney so bring shoes for the water and the taxi at the hotel was private to the hotel and whilst a good price to go into town, if you wanted to go out on a trip, it was very expensive so ge the number of a taxi driver from town and use them instead.
rooms were amazing, no
The service and the staff attitude
The staff were very friendly, and helpfull. And our privacy was respected at all times. The only problem that l experienced, was that there were stray cats around the beach restaurant.
This hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the generally food was pretty good. The breakfast selection was very good. It is qutie far away from town and internet charges are very expensive.
Loction, architecture, room service, quality and varity of the food did not match a 5 star hotel. Were poor.
Excellent facilities, quiet private beach and excellent service. Slightly too far out of town but they had a shuttle service, which was excellent if you could get on it.
Extremely relaxing hotel. Hotel staff very friendly and efficient. The room and public areas were kept very clean. Restaurant very clean and food was of a high standard. The dive school, at the hotel, was very professional. The air conditioning fan was noisy
The hotel is great, good location, very relaxing!
of the Dahab hotels, it is one of the very best (Hilton is also in the same leage). The location is ideal, quiet enough, gorgeous beach, but still close to everything. Pleasent mix at that time of the year mostly of pensioners from German-speaking countries and people coming for diving and wind-surfing, a few Russian guests. Service not overly-eager in an annoying way but very attentive still. good pool and outdoor seating. unlike what has been commented, Wifi works very well and is affordable, with paying for hours of actual use only. Like it very much (stayed also in the Hilton at previous visits). none
Nothing at allllllllllll Even with u as booking.com they change our booking when we arrived to check in then they let us pay in advance our stay even at the check in @ 1h30 A.M. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! weiiirrrrrddddd
it was very peaceful in a very good location weather was good for a 5***** hotel i found the evening meals were poor and i also found that there was no bar to go to after the evening meal, you could only go and sit in the tented area outside which in summer time would be fab but in winter it is too cold to stay there
Overall, a lovely hotel. Great location, nice rooms and grounds, and well priced. Breakfast buffet was okay, as was dinner buffet. Staff were for the most part acceptable. One issue - sent a bag of washing away and it returned the following day, with all items noticably shrunk. Took 3 days of constant complaints to get a resolution, which ultimately required photgraphic evidence of the previous size of the clothing, being told it was immpossible for the clothes to have shrunk, having 4 staff question me in an office and deny liability, and the Houskeeping Manager glaring at me and telling me that it was impossible. The item in question - a ladies dress that was shrunk to the size of a child's shirt. Very disappointing and very poor customer service ethic. The resolution - reimbursement of about 1/2 the value of the "most" ruined clothes, in Euro (I'm Australian)
Snorkeling excursions, diving Right on beach, but not good snorkeling, no coffee makers and microwaves in rooms, hard to get change, and no jet ski's.
The territory small, but is the hotel cosiest and convenient for residing in Dahab
The dining staff were great. Also thought the diving staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the location as well. Drink prices were a rather high. Also thought that the Dive Center prices were on the high side, especially compared to other dive resorts.
The staff at the reception was very professional and helpful I think that the remainder of the staff (serving) especially during the day time at the beach restaurant could improve quite a lot. They were not service oriented, not smiling, it felt like you were asking them a favor if you were ordering a drink.
Its beach location was a big plus with plenty of space for outdoor dining. The breakfast and dinner buffet provided plenty of choices and most evenings there was at least one dish of the day over and above the usual choices. Rooms are of a good size and all appear to have an outdoor area with seating for enjoying the shade/sun from your room. Quite and comfortable.
A lot of very nice touches over the festive period (stockings for children delivered to individual rooms, a very relaxed cocktail event, good balance for adults and families); the programme of events was low-key but very professionally organised - not tacky or forced. Itravelled as a single parent and found the environment very supportive. The pre-arranged transfer from airport to hotel was chaotic and resulted in a stressful one hour delay - but I think this was a one-off fault and the return transfer was faultless. No one explained that there was a mosquito eradication device available in the room (hidden in a cupboard) and if I'd known this it might have prevented my daughter and I getting quite a few irritating bites.
I liked the beach, which has nothing to do with the hotel. I disliked everything about the hotel. Including that they misrepresented themselves through your website about the reservation I was to receive. Their gm is also both insulting and intransigent.
I liked the location and thought the facilities were good.
they respect the booking ok
Good watersports facilities. Excellent Thai restaurant (definitly the best Thai food in Dahab/Sharm). Good beachfront and swimming pool. Activities for kids every day. First impressions of rooms were a bit disapointing - Rather old and run down looking, however they were actually quite comfortable.
Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Well presented and prepared food. Beautifully kept grounds. The room was a little small and under-furnished to be described ' de-luxe' The
Location is fantastic!! Beach is awesome. Pool is good. Lousy comfort regarding beds, pillows. Weird room planning, but a plus for the two story bed for kids. Food is pretty boring.
The personnel is very friendly and there are a lot of water sport facilities at walking distance. The atmosphere is excellent, feels like "at home" and the environment is beautiful Opening hours of the swimming pool
The loction on a beautiful lagoon facing the mountains of the Sinai is superb. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, especially the "seaview" rooms. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Food service is adequate but not enticing at all. Shake up the breakfast service and imorive the dinner menu and prep in the main dining hall. SDidn' try the other options, like the Thai restaurant. Food options in Dahab are fantastic, so the lack of a good dinner menu is not important.
good location for sports and a sea view I wish the room would be more modern and air condition did work well - very noisy
Frendly staff, nice food, right on the beach, great hotel area room facilities can be improved
The surroundings were wonderful. Gorgeous view and great facilities. I did not even mind the steps down to the pool and beach as it meant that everyone had a fantastic uninhibited sea view. There were not enough staff on duty during lunchtimes. Plates were left on tables, cutlery ran out and staff were agitated and stressed.
Beautiful architecture, beautiful gardens, nice bay view full of activity (if there is enough wind!)
Friendliness of hotel staff and sinai dive center, hotel location and the beach No water pressure in my bathroom( I was waiting more than 45-60 min to put water in my bath tube - it was like chinese drop) . The air conditioning outdoor units were over my ceiling for the whole building and I almost couldn't sleep cause of noise and vibrations. Old , scratched, dusty furniture.
To be honest nothing - Further stay in Hilton Dahab is unlikely
The rooms were very spacious and accommodating. The staff was very devoted to us and made sure we got everything we needed. There is a great view of the mountains from your window The free continental breakfast was very limited and was the same thing everyday
Great staff,great apartments,excellent value for money,highly recommended.
Big rooms, nice staff, clean Location is terrible: just by a four land highway, heaps of garbage all around the hotel. Noisy, far from center.
The peace and quiet and the views over the sinai mountains, the comfort and cleanliness of the room the pleasant friendly and efficient staff who if asked for anything would do as much as they could to help and accomodate you, be it for drinks or cooking food that was not on the menu For the money paid there was nothing that I didnt like about this hotel / apartments
New comfortable rooms with lots of space and a kitchenette which was handy. Nice pool area. Friendly staff Breakfast was very basic for a 3 star hotel. It was a little further away from the restaurants/dive shops than we had thought, but still only a 10min walk.
Very convenient, nice view, comfortable, great service from English speaking staff. Accomadating when we asked for a very late check out. The shower in our room was very small and when showering, water easily escaped the showering area making for a wet floor. The small refrigerator in our room froze pretty much everything in it. We didn't complain since these things were minor relative to all the pluses.
It had A/C, a pool and a diving centre attached. The bar and food were good quality and reasonably priced. You can hear the TV in reception really loud when you're lying in bed.
i liked my stay here a lot! loads of cool people and very pleasent staff. i later found out that read sea relax.. is a bit expensive, but you get good value for your money, cheap bar, good breakfast, pool, and the bathroom facilities are good, and you get free water from the dispensers, saves you some money:)
The staff were very friendly, breakfast was free, the location in Dahab is perfect and the prices were reasonable.
we loved it. very very very helpful staff on reception...esp Siad (sp)? he went out of his way to help if we needed it...he deserves a promotion. no
I liked where the resort was situated, right on the promenade and the water.
Staff were very helpful and it was a very relaxed atmosphere Breakfast choice of food was very limited
Clean, comfortable rooms that are modern and well kept. Restaurant and bar were great with good food. Pool was nice and never too crowded. If there were any issues, the staff were on top of it asap. Getting info via email after I booked my stay was not the easiest. Had to call eventually to get questions answered.
Amazingly helpful staff, location, clean and airport pickup was perfect. pool is freezing but they all are this time of year...that's why the sea is there.
staff were the most helpful people we have met. They arranged the trip to Mt Sinai and gave advice on avoiding hassles. Very handy in Egypt. no
It certainly lives up to its name. The staff is extremely friendly, facilities are charming, and the pool is fantastic. The restaurant is also high class. Note that it is a bit far from the city centre (you will need to take a cab). This hotel is a jewel if you want to relax for a while. Sunrise at the hotel is truly paradise on earth.
Kindness of the staff, swimming pool with very comfortable sunbeds, quiet. The hotel's restaurant was amazing various and delicious food and very affordable!
Small boutique hotel located 10 minutes from Dahab city and popular scuba diving sites on the Red Sea(Blue Hole & Canyon). Hotel was simple but nice pool and outside eating area. Good value for money and nice place to relax. Cable system was out for 1.5 days so no TV but not a big problem as always outside by the pool or in town to shop, eat & drink
The reception staff were really friendly and it is ideal if you want to lounge around the pool all day Internet was so slow they mind as well not even have it, Food on offer is nice but not fantastic so be prepared to head to town for some better food and more atmosphere
laid back ,sam the manager was excellent,
The staff were very friendly and the organised tours were very good. The location, the rooms - basic and not finished very well, the breakfast - very basic, boring and cold.
The staff was amazing and extremely accomodating, also the hotel had a very cozy feeling to it... you felt at home. The tea and shishah daily in the tent under the moon and the stars became an amazing daily ritual.
Staff was great, always happy to assist Hotel is not in town, only a 15 Egyptian pound taxi ride to town so it's not a big deal but it is too far to walk. Shower was really small.
The hotel is situated far enough from town to feel quiet but close enough for a night out in the evening (5-10 min drive or a 30 min stroll along the beach). The quality of the rooms and hotel area is very high and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is amazing. I would recommend the fresh fruit juices and the hotel cats are very cute! Be aware that the beach in front of the hotel may not be suitable for swimming from due to strong currents but there is a lovely pool in the hotel and the staff will arrange trips to local dive sites for you.
Loved this Hotel - the staff were extremely friendly, the pool was great and the rooms were clean and lovely. Little bit far out of the action but only a £2 taxi ride from town
staff were fantastic and the location right on the beach with some balconnies having a seaview with comfy furniture toi chill on. the restuarant is world class and affordable that we had to leave Dahab haha
there was nothing thati liked about this hotel , i had to leave and get a nother hotel and had to pay for the both of them i didn't like anything about this hotel the staff sucks the room was dirty i don't think it was built for humans to live in it !!
The location and the price Poor staff (there´s one?), unpleasent restaurant, hard access, they trayed I didn´t pay with credit card, but I refused.
Pleasant service guys, availability of rooms and easiness to order through booking.com. Good transfer. Noisy around, room and facilities in rather bad condition (had to fight with air condition, asked to change shower hose), towels and bad sheets not looking clean and fresh.
The staff were lovely The breakfasts were very basic, rooms need a good clean
Theme, decorations, lighting, friendliness of staff & price. No complains.
Ok location, very stylish decor, good air-conditioning system, delicious food in German bakery. We had a wonderful time.
The Staff was incredibly kind and professional.I loved to stay in this beautiful place! everything is in traditional egyptian style and make the atmoshere perfect for a vacation with your partner.Highly reccomended, I hope i'll be back soon.
A genuine hotel. Clean and original. -- with a nice German bakery Only one thing - bad pressure in the showers but this may vary.
The room was great with 2 twin beds made up to be a canopy bed. The AC worked fine, but the refrigerator didn't work at all. The balcony was also nice. I didn't like the hidden charges. When I booked the room, it was supposed to be $290, taxes included. Then when I paid, I had to pay almost $400 because of hidden charges.
Unique decor Value although this is negated by need to buy breatfast out Lack of toiletries in the bathroom Inability to pay by credit card Friendliness of girl at reception - not very! One day it seemed she had an argument with someone on the phone and stormed off for the afternoon. As a result our room was not cleaned No benefits/discounts for the bakery next door for b&b guests. Not even willing to sell coffee to go! Wifi didn't work for 2/5 days
The cozy atmosphere of the room & the breakfast in hotel's German bakery. Cleaning services
At one point there was no hot water in the shower.
The staff was friendly and made efforts to be helpful. They honored the policy of accepting cancellation within 24 hours. We had booked two nights but after arriving we decided to stay only one night.
I really can't say enough about how positive our experience was at the Alf Leila. It's very small, only 8 rooms, and we got very individual attention. The atmosphere was very casual and friendly, a lovely mix of European standards of cleanliness and efficiency and Egyptian friendliness and charm. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and management.
