Pros. Staff was very, very sweet. Neighbors in the hotel were very friendly and pleasant. I enjoyed the bright pops of color they tried to remodel with. WIth a little more design/cleaning help, this place could be really nice. We got meal tickets to my favorite little desert mom n pop cafe (Sidewinder) for breakfast! Most people don't know that you can use those tickets for $4 off any meal on the breakfast menu (instead of the offered eggs and toast). They offer this instead of a continental breakfast. Pools looked clean and inviting. They had several places to sit by the pool. Ample parking!
Cons. Biggest complaint: Wifi wasn't working a for a day and unfortunately I needed it to finish up a bit of work, so I had to go to a starbucks to finish work. The wifi apparently was fixed the next day and everyone got the memo except us, that they had changed wifi network names. This didn't bother me much, but it would have bothered others: -TV didn't work. TV had a huge dent in the frame. -Lamp by bed was missing it's bulb. -Windows were covered only by old fashioned vertical blinds. Didn't provide much privacy, and did NOT keep out the BRIGHT desert sun in the morning. THey definitely need proper black out curtains. -The front cermaic step to the hotel is chipped off and sharp. -No soap in the bathroom. It was near the closet. (not a huge deal but confusing). -A lot of street and worker noise int he early am. Was that a chainsaw I heard at 7am? The windows are very thin. -Very, very, very old carpeting. -They don't deep clean the rooms. The window sills had dust on them. The bathroom sink drain had junk gathered at the base of it.
