price was good
It was in walking distance to the boardwalk at the Destin Harbor.
location, convenient to good restaurants and nightlife. WiFi connection hotel needs to improve on landscaping and upgrade the rooms
Cheap Ants in the room
Swimming pool, soft bed there was no outside picture of the hotel on the website and I felt a little deceived about where I was going to stay. The exterior of the building reminded me of one of those sleazy hotel and there was a guy hanging out his door nude trying to speak to the children.
For the value in fall you can't beat it. It was within walking distance to restuarants and the Harbor Walk shopping. It is across the street from the Harbor. There are all kinds of way side parks to go to the beach. The beds have been updated and are super comfy. A little older facility but still nice for the vaiue. In fall it was only 60.00.
Only thing we liked was location. Dirty, dirty, dirty! We didn't like the fact that we had to wear shoes inside. Even after a shower, as soon as we walked on carpet our feet turned BLACK. The light above sink kept going out and there weren't enough outlets to turn on lamp that was in room. There were too many appliances plugged into an attached plug in outlet. We came back from beach and maintenance was airing out our room. They said we left coffee pot on and it burned the outlet, wires, microwave, fridge. When we told them we made sure twice it was turned off ( I'm OCD about these things) it was our word against theirs. They didn't bother telling us that we were being charged 236.00 until we checked out. The comforter was filthy, tub and floors filthy. Also, the wifi only worked about 10% of the time.
The only thing to like about this place is the location and that there is a Waffle House in the parking lot. When we first got to the hotel, we could tell that it was going to be dirty. The parking lot is a wreck and suffers from no upkeep. The lobby had a very musty, awkward smell to it and is very confused in terms of decor. The only thing worth looking at were the fish on the walls. Check in didn't take much time at all and the lady at the desk was friendly. When we got to our room, (214) it as well had a musty wet smell to it that was covered up by the smell of Lysol. The floor had huge stains everywhere, there was thick dust everywhere specifically on the headboards, there were small roaches in the tub, and to top it off, the maintenance man was not finished in our room (even though we were told it was ready). He had to run an extension chord to the lamp next to the door from the 1 outlet between the beds just so that lamp would work. There were no available outlets in the room... We couldn't plug in our phones next to the bed because the 1 outlet had lamps plugged into it. Wouldn't have been a problem if there was at least 1 light on the ceiling, but there wasn't. The bed was absolute hell. I woke up feeling worse than i ever have in years. The pillows were flat and had no support unless you used 3. Yes, 3. The bathroom towels were really small and very rough... The next day, the safe in the room (that we were NOT using) randomly started beeping over and over. We hadn't touched it or even looked at it untill this started happening. Finally we had enough and called the front desk. They sent someone up 20 minutes later and fixed the problem. No apology was given... Needless to say, we will never stay at this hotel again.
It was just what I needed to make my business trip seamless, at the right price. Nice staff & clean rooms with all the most important features. I'll stay again next time.
Have not found a better room in Destin for the money and I visit regularly great price clean relatively comfy good general location If I had a problem with this hotel it would be the beds aren't the most comfortable in the world but after a weekend at nighttown who cares right, and the bathroom is tiny but fully functional
Pool and breakfast bar.
Pulling up it doesn't look very nice but they've recently remodeled so the room so it was a pleasant surprise. Hardwood floors, large mounted flat screen, and nice hot water in the shower, for the price I will definitely return. Also the free continental breakfast was good. We actually passed the hotel a couple of times because there's no sign out by the street showing where it is, the floors were very dirty and the bed was kind of hard. Those minor things didn't affect my trip though and I would stay agin
Everyone was super nice and the rooms were amazing... We loved the hardwood floors. There were people painting and doing repairs but they were very quiet and respectful of quests.
Beds were comfortable and appeared clean. Price was good. Bathrooms had mold all around the corners and up sides of walls Floor was not clean in room. Tile floor in bathroom in bad shape and dirty Stairs were very dirty and the railing was wobbly. Breakfast was horrible. A bowl of cereal would be all that was tempting. The whole breakfast area was unattended to and needed cleaning. Night time attendant was not very attentive.
The price was about the only appealing thing about this hotel. This hotel was recently renovated and the photos made it look really nice. When you walk in the musty smell hits you immediately. The bathroom floor was always wet not matter how many towels you put down. The shower curtain rod was hanging up by a thread and the shower curtain itself was molded. Many things wrong including the ancient loud mattress. Will not stay here again. Front desk agent friendliness was okay at best, +1 service was not on his mind.
The hotel was comfy and clean. Recently renovated and a nice pool. I would definitely stay here again.
The staff was very friendly. There were roaches in our room and the smell of mold was overwhelming.
The location is great for my type of stay. The Bed was squeaky
For being just a quick get away for the weekend. Nice and quiet! Having to pay for ice. Have never been to a hotel that you had to pay for ice.
My boyfriend and I planned to stay here on the last night of our vacation. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency arise in which my elderly grandmother was hospitalized. Thus we had to cut our trip short and head back home. We tried calling Destin inn and suites to cancel our room and see if there was any way we could get some sort of refund and they refused to consider it. I understand that hotels must have some sort of cancellation policy in place but the very cold way they acted about our situation was the worst customer service I have received. When we are back in Destin I will definitely find another hotel to stay at.
-Close to attractions but so are most of the other budget friendly hotels. -Room had mold in between doorway -Poorly cleaned during our stay -no shampoo provided -VERY POOR WiFi. Not worth the extra fee that I charged. -Room smelled as if they don't use any cleaning products. -Bed covers and sheets had stains
Newly remodeled rooms where nice. Hard wood floors.
Nothing It's was awful. We checked in and went to the room. It was dirty upon arrival. I requested clean sheets due to all the hair that was on them. They brought them to us quickly. When we removed the blankets, there was dried blood (not blood stains) and a clump of black hair (we are both blonde). And the headboard of the bed was leaning into the bed, not even fixed to the wall. We immediately checked out. We requested a refund which they said they couldn't do. I did take pictures.
I couldn't find anything that I liked Rooms not clean. Had to ask repeatedly for clean towels. Poor parking. Very understaffed. Over priced for the quality of the room
Location is great Ac didn't work Water pressure sucked Asked got extra towels and never got them. Room service didn't clean the room or change the beds, just took the dirty towels and left clean ones
Very close to restaurants and attractions They didn't clean my room once, always had to ask for towels
The location was perfect. smelt like sewage leak and mold. Floor was not clean for a baby.
Nothing The shower was mildew, the spreads and towels were not washed. The smell wasn't clean.
That is so close to the beach The employees are super rude. They didn't have my room ready for an hour and a half after they was suppose to. People was smoking pot and saleing it in front of my kids . It was awful and I will not go back
Very clean and bed was very comfortable. Liked the hardwood floors as opposed to carpet. Affordable There was no breakfast offered. Location to beach wasn't great. Definitely couldn't walk to the beach
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was great. The staff was nice. The wood floors were really nice. It's a good place to stay for a few nights and it's about two or three miles to the Destin Boardwalk and beach. The outside of the hotel sourroundings looked a bit sketchy. The room smelt a little stuffy, so bring some air freshener. Be sure to request that the Air conditioner is turned on before arrival.its Florida & it's hot!
Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly to us. No frills but wasn't expecting that. Other reviews were bad and when I checked in there were two couples demanding refunds saying they couldn't stay there. Clearly they had a different experience than we did.
You could smell how clean it was, comfy bed, having a personal fridge and microwave was nice. Marble topped everything. For the money very spacious. Only one vending machine/soda machine and it's located at the front by the office. No other complaints really.
The hotel was very clean, the staff was super friendly and I was very happy there was recycling going on.
The hotel was affordable and the rooms were updated. The room wasn't very clean.. The floors felt dirty and it was obvious the side tables hadn't been wiped down as they were sticky and had drink rings on them. The comforter looked stained and dirty so we did not use, and they did not have any extra blankets. Luckily we had brought our own. We didn't end up needing it because the room was super hot. The shower curtain smelled of urine when showering.. And the blow dryer was sticky and dirty. Luckily we had brought our own. There was also hair all in the "clean" rags and towels. This would have been a great stay if hotel staff would simply take the time to clean and wash properly. A few extra steps could go a long way in this case. Overall, it was okay. Me and my fiance made the best of it as we were only staying one night. Wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. It was the best price in the area for what it was, though. Definitely better than the Days Inn.. Would never stay there. Probably won't be back to Fairway Inn. By
This was the WORSE hotel I've EVER stayed at. I checked out a day early bc it was so bad. There was mold in the shower. Out shower broke twice and when we called the front desk to have them come fix it they were so rude about it. The room was dirty. The microwave and mini frig looked like neither of them have been cleaned in months. Please DO NOT waste your time or money to stay there! I hated the whole time stayed there...
Very nice rooms The staff was rude
nothing the service was horrible and the room was hot they also did not have enough parking space for the renters of the rooms
The room had a smell that would not go away.
The price and location was pretty good. Smudges on most surfaces and the chair was cracking and peeling. Looked dirty overall but I've seen worse.
There was a couple holes in the ceiling & I didn't like the fact that you had to pay for ice it should be free out of the ice machine
It was cheap. The beds were uncomfortable which was a disappointment. Not the same as the ones we had in the previous stay. Never given more than two very small bath towels which we had to ask for daily. Not enough hangers and a pathetic excuse for a closet between two walls. If the beds had been softer and better we would have overlooked everything else.
Staff professional and courteous. Mattress was too soft. Overall excellent service.
The pool was nice and the room was cozy. Everything seemed clean and neat. Called the front desk twice and they answered then hung up on me. Had to go to the front desk a few times to get what I needed.
Small room for the price paid Small room
Nothing No breakfast . Old rooms . No maintenance .
The only bright spot for the Seabreeze inn is the location. It is very close to the beach, shopping and entertainment. The air conditioner was loud, the television was circa 1980, there was no phone, the WiFi was week, the bed was hard, the sheets stained. On top of that, the TV remote didn't work and most of the channels had no volume.
The beds were OK. The room smelled really bad. There is no water view from the room UNLESS you walk outside. There wasnt any bar handles anywhere. There was blood on our sheets. No iron nor iron board . There was no "pool". The hotel was under construction. This place was definitely not worth $150.68 for two nights. I was better off in a motel 6.
poor maint, rooms has oder, no hot water sheets stained ref froze everything Staff was nice
This is hotel is filthy! The sheets on the beds looked previously used, there was mildew on one of the pillows, the carpet was coming up from off the floor, the bathroom sink was gross, the bathtub was not clean and had a used rag in it, and there were two used cans of bug defogger just sitting on the floor.
It is in a good location. It was very dirty, our feet were black after walking on the carpet. Most of the lights were burned out. The room needed several updates. The door was hard to open, shut and lock. The room had a horrible smell. It was overpriced! Do not stay here!
Location Peeling paint small rooms dirty carpet smelled bad
Location was good. Room overall was clean. Refrigerator was awesome. Bathroom needs repaired/updated
Convenient, scenic location. Only one small working ice machine in this 3-story motel, sporadic Internet service, no phone in our room, defective light switch, nonfunctioning elevator.
The staff was very polite & clearly is renovating the inn. Until renovations are complete this inn should consider closing. Paint was chipping and fixtures were coming detached from the walls, just to name a few structural damages. While the bed sheets seemed clean I slept in my clothes as the bathroom had clearly not been thoroughly cleaned for quite a while.
The staff was friendly Our room food had to be kicked to open it and the wood of the door itself looks like the room had been broken into I mean it was a $50 room I wasn't looking for luxury but I still expected a little better than this...
I liked the checking out part after the clerk was able to figure out how to properly charge my card. The air condition did work. This place is a complete and utter disgrace. No hot water in sink. No coffee pot. No refrigerator. No ice most of the time. No hangers. Wifi never worked. Carpet was coming up at the edges. I think the maide folded our dirty towels for us to reuse a couple of times. I had to buy Clorox to clean my bathroom and sink. The tub filled up a quarter of the way before the hot water kicked in. I was afraid to walk barefoot in this room. I would have checked out if I could have found some place else with a vacancy. It is shameful to have this facility on any website!! I am completely disgusted and disappointed with this place. I also have lost faith in using Kayak if this is the kind of places they promote on their website.
Cold A/C - wake up call was on time No coffee maker - No clock - TV did not work well - One of two locks on front door was broken - bathroom vent did not work - bed spread stained and had tears - tub was stained and had no stopper - sink was also stained and did not have a stopper.
Location This place was dirty old and out dated. The headboard fell apart on the bed we were sleeping in. Cigarette burns everywhere.
The hotel was absolutely nasty!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was extremely small, and smelt horrible. The shower held water, by the time I was done i had water almost to my knees. The towels had nasty brown stains on them. The bathroom didn't have a light. The pictures are definitely a front rooms are not that nice....
the staff was great , the place wasn't a five star hotel but considering this was just a place to lay our head because we was on the beach the whole time it was perfect for us plus it was really inexpensive.. so you get what you pay for ! :)
Cheapest on the strip Plywood between the mattress and box spring, only 3 functional channels in our room, toilet not secured to the floor. Room smells of onions. Reserved a king bed a month prior to going and upon check in was told they didn't have any available, ended up with a queen bed and a kitchenette that I was told not to use....
