Pros: The wellness center in the basement was nice and I had it to myself for an hour each night. Check in and checkout was friendly and efficient. I didn’t see any staff except at breakfast. The room was very nice and the bathroom and shower was very high end.
Cons: It seemed that when I arrived on a Monday the restaurant was closed....as was every restaurant in the town. I did find a pizzeria run by a Turkish family who kindly fed me and looked like they were closing as I arrived. Bad Bergzabern is a very quiet town at night. The hotel restaurant was also closed by 9pm but on other nights there were other restaurants nearby.
Cons: No desk for my computer, so it was hars to work
Pros: Beautiful property and spacious room in a quaint little town! It was perfect for a day in the wine region and included a free pass to the thermal spa nearby which was also wonderful.
Cons: despite the fact, that I arrived before 9.30pm, the restaurant was already closed. What a pity, since the hotel indicates different opening hours of the restaurant.
Pros: Nicely renovated facility. Large rooms with excellent bathroom. Convenient free Parking. Good breakfast Good restaurant in a sleepy town with no other good restaurants around.
Pros: Very pleasant room and restaurant.
Cons: Very welcoming.
Pros: This hotel was very good value and included breakfast - for the price the bathroom, bed, air con etc were excellent
Cons: We stayed here en route and although the hotel was good the town was absolutely dead.
Pros: Room was comfortable, especially bathroom
Cons: Really poor attitude towards service. A typical german simple and modest breakfast

Pros: Great value, nice room and bath.
Cons: I thought they had a restaurant but I was wrong. The communication was a bit difficult as we didn't speak the same language.
Cons: Leaking toilet . No hot water for shower on arrival . Unable to pay in cash as requested as no change available. Had to obtain correct amount and leave cash under pillow on bed as leaving early.
Pros: The place is great, room was comfy, nice bathroom, hot water, TV, good shower and is set in a working schnapps farm. Secure motorbike parking
Cons: I stop in plenty of bed and breakfasts throughout the year so when I arrived and had 3 rooms booked and no one seemed to know we were coning isnt a good start, 45min later and we all had a room. I then asked about breakfast and was told it's not available even though it states it is on booking.com for extra.
Pros: Vongerichten is located slightly off the beaten path of the Weinstrasse in a very sleepy town. There are no restaurants in the immediate area and of you are not there on the weekend when Vongerichten serves dinner, you will need to drive into Bad Bergzabern for food. You can buy bottles of the Vongerichten wines at all times to enjoy in your room or outdoors. There is a nice center courtyard with tables and chairs where you can sit if the weather permits. The location drawback aside, you cannot beat the price for this older, simple hotel. We stayed in a large studio loft which was perfect for 3 friends but big enough to accommodate a family with 3-4 children. It was a bit dusty in places, but otherwise fine. Beds were comfortable. We did opt to pay extra for the breakfast which was ample and included breads, meats, cheese, yogurt and eggs if you liked. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful and we would certainly consider staying there again. Once again, Vongerichten is an excellent value for the money.
Cons: Room was a bit dusty in places. No restaurants in the immediate area.
Pros: Nothing much although we did feel sorry for the elderly lady showing us in. We don't speak German so there was a language problem
Cons: The bathroom was cramped and had shabby cheap appliances. The room was old fashioned and not pleasant to be in. We wouldn't have stayed but had already had 2 diversions to get there and the road ended just after the guesthouse. We ended up leaving at 5. 00 am not having slept at all.

Pros: Quiet; nice bathroom
Cons: This once grand place really needs an update
Pros: The stuff was very nice
Cons: There is no network in the whole hotel, the breakfast is very simple. The room has very old furniture (from the 70s-80s) and not really clean, it was OK, but not perfect. It was not cozy at all.
Pros: A bit oldfashioned, but very large and confortable room with balcony. Indoor swimming pool was real bonus.

Pros: The hotel has a eco friendly theme. Highly appreciated!
Cons: The night rest was hindered by light and noise. Curtains do not cover entire window so much light comes in. Doors need some oil. The beds cracks when you turn. Bathroom need some renovation in a few years time.
Pros: Breakfast was great!!! Truly!! The arrival was easy and checkout was easy as well.
Cons: Not obvious where to park. The restaurant is very much geared at vegan/vegetarian/allergy patrons; It should be mentioned that this is a "BIO" Hotel, especially geared at health conscious patrons

Pros: Very friendly staff, everyone was welcoming and the hotel was clean and nice. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious so we'd recommend that. One of the best meals we have had and for a fair price.
Cons: The breakfast buffet was overrun with flies, they were on most items of food which was a shame as it looked really delicious but I didn't fancy it after seeing the flies.
