The hotel probably only makes sense if you need to be in the downtown area and/or you love to spend hours in a monster mall (Dubai Mall). We had no reason to be in this part of town and regret that we stayed there. The traffic is awful in the area. We normally stay at the Mandarin Oriental but decided to try something else.
