Pros: We liked the location and the decor of the hotel
Cons: We were not aware that the hotel desk closed at 8 p.m. and arrived at 8:15. We had a hard time figuring out that we were to use a call box and give our reservation number and then someone would come unlock the door and get us checked in. We waited outside for 20 minutes. They were very nice though once we finally got in.
Cons: 1 Terrible queues constantly for reception - why ever dont you have more staff on? Morning and evening was the same. 2. if a double bed is booked please make the twin beds up as one double by using one large sheet. We asked but this was apparently not possible, although we had booked double beds and not twins. 3. Get fresh air into the landings!! 4. If you really cannot fix a hairdryer into the room then leave a notice saying how one may be acquired. 5. Have some pegs or rails or a chair in the bathroom for used towels, sponge bags etc. 6.In the interests of the environment ask guests to hang up towels that they would like to keep for another day ie dont automatically change them every day - it isnt necessary and harms the world.
Pros: You can rent bikes at the hotel; the room was big; there's a nice swimming pool.
Cons: The reception closes at 8 p.m. and you have to give bikes back before that time. beds are not very confortables.
Pros: hotel is new, clean and cheap
Cons: a bit longer from the city, bedroom no dark
Pros: Big room, tidy, good location.
Cons: Hotel reception closed 7pm and 11pm everyother day. No info about this on the website. No extra blankets. No hangers for the towels in bathroom. No fridge in the room.
Pros: Liked spaciousness, nice bathroom with a bath which my wife prefers to a shower.
Cons: Poor ventilation unless large doors were left open, making the room stuffy overnight. Lack of keys to lock both patio doors and the inter leading door between adjoining rooms. Luckily the people in the adjoining rooms were friends that we could trust.
Pros: The location.
Cons: If the weather was poor no cafe or bar facilities within the hotel therefore would have to go out of the building.
Pros: Central location, staff was very helpful.
Cons: We were not aware that no one would be at the reception when we arrived. The street was not on our GPS and we called the agency that did the booking and they did not give us accurate directions. I feel this is important because the directions they gave us led us to the next town.
Pros: Spacious room with nice view over the Gouwzee. Very new and hence very good state of maintenance. Terrific location. Very good value for money due to low price. Nice staff (when present).
Cons: Management should realise that running a hotel is something else than running cottages. E.g. for a hotel it is really not acceptable that the reception closes after all expected guests have arrived (reception desk in a hotel has additional tasks over only welcoming new guests), and daily cleaning of rooms should be normal (instead of only on request).

Pros: This hotel is great value for money. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are also adequate. The staff are helpful. The location is great away from the noisy nightlife and still not too far if this is where you which to head for when in possession of a car. Great for golfers ( which I am not ). lots of green surroundings. The breakfast was also great value for money €14.50. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again but with a car.
Cons: This hotel is excellent when in possession of a car. I was unfortunately without one on my 2nd stay. The weather was bad, windy, rainy and cold. So needed to use the taxi service offered by my family who live in Purmered. There is apparently a bus stop about 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. I have not been able to locate it. It is also pitch black and deserted for a lone person to make use of this late at night. This due to the lack of street lighting. When in a group of friends it should be manageable. In my room one of the lights was not working. I am sure when called for an engineer it would have been fixed. I was only there for one night.
