The Parador itself is a castle, so i guess you could not ask for more. The rooms are spacious and the pool is nice (open in september). In terms of location, this parador is in the villages centre. However, if you plan on going hiking in the sierra de gredos, keep in mind it is a two hour drive to the main hiking trails.
Very comfortable, spacious room with all the facilities we needed. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a well-cooked and well-presented dinner at a reasonable price. Check in was a little protracted and not very welcoming. There was no offer with assistance for luggage, and the hike from reception to the room was no little distance.
The locations is very good if you're planing to travel do discover Spain. Just check the weather forecast because it's really hot in the summer. The food was a bit expensive, but as it's a 4 star hotel....
My wife and I have visited several Paradors, and that is always a pleasant experience. This one was no exception. It is beatuifully situated with a panoramic view, it has beautiful interiors and the guest rooms are very nice and comfortable in the typical Parador style. The breakfast buffet was very god. Being Norwegians with a constant need of a tan in our summer holidays, we were sligthly disappointed with the relatively small pool with very few sunbeds.A large lawn at the side of the pool was used by a number of guests for relaxation, but there were no available sunbeds here, so we had to lie down straight on the ground for a nap in the sun. An improvement of the pool facilities would increase the comfort for summer guests. We also found the restaurants outdoor terrace a bit small ,so there seemed to be to few places to spend the time outdoors on the parador area.
The location of the hotel in the grounds of the castle was fantastic. Everything was fine.
In a good location for our trip across Spain. Very clean, staff good, not much English spoken, so communication problems at times. Excellent value for money. The church/tower bells that rang all night on the side of the hotel in which we were. Too bad, as it is so quiet there otherwise :)
room sumptous, locale from the pages of Cervantes' Don Quoites, food excellent, Castle and staff eager, top notch, exciting . asked for creme natilla desert with nightcap on patio balcony... was told no from bar tender
The location Our room overlooked the front entrance of the Parador and we were disturbed by the emptying of the bins early on and then by the large number of parents taking their children to the school situated opposite.
The hotel was well positioned but we arrived there at five oclock in the afternoon after over 6 hours drive and we could not get anything to eat as the catering facilities were already closed until 8 oclock
