Pros: The town is a quiet little fishing town and the locals are so friendly, we got a free lift into town from the highway where the bus dropped us off! The house is nestled perfectly in the hill at the quieter end of the beach which meant I was surfing the surf break pistols by myself 3 times a day. Camil and his family were so welcoming friendly and helpful. The french toast or crepes and fruit for breakfast were amazing and accompanied by good coffee!! The kitchen is large and has an amazing view of the beach, and upstairs has the perfect spot to eat and read your book in the hammocks in the cool sea breeze! There are a few shops in town that sell the basics to prepare your own meals for lunch and dinner and some restaurants only 5 mins walk down the beach! If you like a very chilled and friendly vibe and want to stay in El Trànsito Bananoz is the place
Cons: That I had to leave!!
Pros: we had a very nice stay! the family is super friendly and helpful, kitchen is very well equipped and from the terrace you have a nice view - also to check the waves for surfing! our room was comfortable, too!
Cons: we had a private room with bathroom and there was no door to the bathroom. the only thing we missed was a nice and comfy chill area, for example a soft couch or something. then we would have chilled more in the common area. but in general we were totally happy and we recommend it!
Pros: Good vibe. Cool family. Definitely recommend it. Thanks guys!
Pros: My stay at Bananoz was great. The Hostel is located right on the beach in walking distance to three different surf spots as well as the small town of El Transito which has a couple of Cafes and Bars. The rooms are super clean and the breakfast is good too. The owners are very nice and welcoming and do everything to make you feel at home.
Pros: Awesome hosts and a great place if you are looking to live in a familiar atmosphere
Pros: Amazing, on the spot, super chill vibe, Camille and Maelle are super friendly, helpful and nice. They’ll bring you with good advices and tips. Feel like family! Highly recommended! Moustache gracias
Pros: Lovely French couple who own and run the hostel and very accommodating. The French breakfasts were a highlight. The owners are willing to go the extra mile for their guests and won’t let you lift a finger, all you have to do is surf and relax.
Pros: The hostel is run by a French family and this family atmosphere gives it such a friendly feel. You can definitely see they don't so it for the money and they'll do anything to help out their guests. Probably the nicest hostel we've stayed at so far in Nica. It's right on the beach so splendid for surf!
Pros: One of the cleanest and friendliest hostels I've been to on this trip. Cam and Maella were super helpful with information about the town and the different surfspots, of which one is just out front the hostel. The family vibe was outstanding and I felt welcome at first sight. It's a little far from the rest of the town, which is not a downside at all - quiet and peaceful stay. El Tránsito is a lovely quiet fisherman's village and got everything for daily needs.

Pros: The waves, the people, the food...everything!
Cons: Nothing, it was seriously great!
Pros: Amazing resort. Located right on the beach. The staff is very nice. The food is reasonably priced. The staff is very helpful and informative on things to do in the area.
Cons: 15% credit card fee. Would be best to bring a decent amount of cash
Pros: I traveled to Miramar Surf Camp to improve my surfing. There were a variety of breaks within walking distance, and a boat to accesses other breaks nearby. The food was excellent, the service and hospitality was exemplary, and the facilities were well kept. We were shuttled to and from the airport by Miramar Surf Camp with no issues. I would definitely visit Miramar again.
Pros: Everything was Good and if you like surfing this is the place to be

Pros: This was the perfect place to stay in El Transito. The room is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Janelle and John's hospitality was so friendly and welcoming - they were available to help with whatever I needed while giving plenty of space to enjoy the location. Good options to hang out both right outside the room and in the terrace with hammocks and lounge area. Pictures are accurate. You can walk to the beach in 90 seconds and down the beach to town in just 5-10 minutes.
Cons: I liked everything about the place, but it's worth noting that the restaurant (which had wonderful reviews) is closed at the moment, except by appointment, due to the crisis and lack of tourism. The listing was clear about this and there are other good options to eat in town, but in case you read the other reviews about the delicious food and are hoping to dine on site, know that you'll probably need to arrange this in advance until the situation improves (hopefully soon).
Pros: Everything was perfect, beautiful place, perfect breakfast, beautiful beach!
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Casa Todo Bueno. Jon & Jenelle are fabulous hosts, the food is superb, the location is a block off a beautiful beach - outside the busier part of town, and our bed was super nice. We felt totally at home and would stay here again. We highly recommend Casa Todo Bueno - it is definitely all good!
Pros: Best place we have stayed in Nica. Best value by far in El Transito not to mention the included breakfast (and overall food) was great. Jenelle and John looked after us so well, and have recommended their place to fellow travellers. Beds comfy, bathroom big and clean, and lot of alcohol available!

Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The beautiful view of the ocean.
Pros: The beach and room.
Cons: Road to hotel TERRIBLE.Small cars have a hard time driving on road
Pros: Condo hotel was very well appointed, not enough maid services you have to stay 4 nights or more for cleaning services if traveling with several people it should have been cleaned at least once in 3 nights. The price was on the high side.
Cons: Should have maid service for such high prices, and more entertainment and other activities would have made it more inviting. The beach in front of resort was my adequate for swimming, too rocky. There is a need for beach activities, such as rental of beach equipment also bikes and other all terrain vehicles this would have made it easier to explore the community; their excuse is that people are abusing driving privileges by letting youth operate vehicles, but this could be prevented by imposing heavy fines on those who break rules. The resort is very nice but the rentals are quite pricey. The staff is very nice but as to other amenities , there isn't much. The restaurant is nice but very high priced and unless you cook for yourself there isn't much choice since it's the only one there. Family entertainment is lacking. Pool could be heated, solar heating could so easily set up, the hot tub was as cold as the pool , which by the way is very shallow, may as well be called a kiddy pool.
Pros: Big place and the nature
Cons: Golf field
Pros: Great food at the Seasalt Resturant. Magnificent views. Wonderful location on the Pacific Ocean. Hotel staff very courteous and friendly.
Cons: Air conditioning system outdated. Erratic WiFi and television system.
Pros: View of room, pool, air condition
Cons: Sofa was not clean.
Pros: It is a nice resort located on a beautiful beach. Staff are friendly and it’s very clean.
Cons: This is a place for families and if you are expecting a quiet and relaxing weekend, I recommend to chose different places. This resort is full of screaming children with drunk parents at common area around the pool, who are also loud.

Pros: Great location, wonderful community style breakfast.
Pros: The staff is really nice and avaible ! This hotel is perfectly situated, the view for the sunset is incredible. The beach is ideal for surfing, but not only the hotel offers many activities (horse, yoga, fishing). We can chill and relax in the hammocks or enjoy of the good mood at the bar with a cocktail. Other point : very good wifi connexion and clean bathroom !
Pros: Our stay - 4 days - at Solid Surf Camp was amazing. We took a private room for 3 adults the breakfast included. Room is simple but very clean. Andrea holds the secret to cook the best scramble eggs... All employees are very pleasant. El Transito is a small fishing village isolated on a beautiful black sand beach. We are not surfers but did try it for fun. Tidal pools to the left of the beach are not to miss. Food is good in all restaurants. They offer us a shuttle to Leon for a nice dinner and quick city walking tour with a group of persons staying at hotel.
Cons: Room could benefit a fresh coat of paint.
Pros: Front of the beach and you can see the waves at the same time when you drink your own morning coffee! Good surf! Nice hammocks to just chill, watch the surf or to take a nap! Kitchen was well equipped and you have warmish water in the shower :)
Cons: Dorm and the dorm toilet/shower was very dirty! No one cleaned the room or shower while we were there..and nobody cleaned before we arrived! So the floor in the dorm and in the toilet was pretty disgusting. They say you have a free coffee but the manager make it only one time around 9 am and the previous morning nothing. We had our own coffee with us so it was okay. The price is very high for what you actually get (no towels!). It was very quiet at the hotel and we could see that workers were not busy at all (but they did not clean or make some coffee..) At the evening the kitchen was pretty busy because the workers were cooking. You can not use the real fridge inside the kitchen but there is a small and dirty one outside for the guests. But we were happy because the location is good.

Pros: Great location, nice staff and service, good food, beautiful landscape.
Pros: Beautiful place along the beach. Great cabanas and a perfect hide-out.
Pros: Utterly peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of the real world, no internet so you can completely switch off. And the food is all freshly prepared, even the breads which, after two weeks in Nicaragua, was wonderful!
Cons: After an extremely short while you get used to the "nature" toilets
Pros: The entire experience including surfing
Cons: Only the inconvenience of no wi-fi but then made the experience more rustic
