Pros: The hotel is located right on the railway station and just 100m away from the busstop in case your planning “Norway in a nutshell” tour. The hotel is facing a majestic lake and views are spectacular. The hotel allows us to rent cycles for free (during the non-season) and we can use cycles to explore the town because taxis are extremely expensive. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and extremely comfortable.

Pros: The location of the hotel right beside the train station was very convenient. It meant not having to wake up too early to catch the train back to Oslo. The rooms were pretty big and location of the hotel was right beside the lake which was so beautiful. The town center was also walking distance.

Cons: Staffs at reception was horrible. Minimum service, not welcoming/ friendly at all. Pity since everything else was wonderful.

Pros: Good location near Train station and bus stop for tour! Responsive to emails in asking questions and making accommodation request. Renovated from historical site, traditional and grand design. Very big room and bathroom! The view from room is lake in Voss! Very nice if no construction in progress which blocks the view. Wide choices of breakfast buffet!

Pros: The location is good with nice view from the top. The unit is relatively spacious for a small family with a nice living room and balcony. The washing machine is of great help in an isolated area. The kitchen supplies are ok but limited.
Cons: The resort staff at the reception are firm and not friendly when communicating with guests, that was reflected on the “instruction sheet” giving during check in. The language used is not friendly: do this and don’t do that!! The bed linens rental is not a good idea for someone who may come late in checking in. It can be added to the cost before checking in for those who may need it. The unit looks old and not properly cleaned or prepared for the new guest. The kitchen utensils and equipments are overused and not properly maintained. There are burned / damaged area on the microwave machine.

Pros: we stayed there in summer, location - middle of mounting slope, fantastic landscape view from the apartment and balcony. You can sit on the balcony and gaze on the slope and a river in the valley for hours. Apartment had excellent equipment - everything at the kitchen, washer, sauna, etc.
Cons: strange, but you pay for bedding at reception, bring it to the apartment yourself, do your bed, on departure - bring it back to the reception.

Pros: The frame house is very nice. It is on the top of a small hill. You can see the amazing landscape of Noway from your window.

Pros: Very nice apartments, new, everything there which is needed for the stay. Nice view of the outstanding surrounding. Friendly receptionist.
Cons: Bed Linen and cleaning costs extra and was not mentioned during the booking process

Cons: It would be a good idea to have your own bed-linen with you, helps to pay for about one third of total amount less :) We were travelling with 4 persons and stayed only for one night, which probably is the reason.

This family-run hostel lies by Lake Vangsvatnet, 1 km from the village of Voss. It has a TV lounge and a communal kitchen. Free WiFi is available in common areas. All rooms at Voss Hostel have private bathroom facilities. Most rooms offer views of the surrounding nature and some rooms feature lake views. General facilities at Voss Hostel include a veranda with lake views and a BBQ grill. Free public parking spaces are found nearby. The surrounding region offers excellent possibilities for alpine and cross-country skiing. Popular summer activities among Voss Hostel’s guests include hiking, horse riding and fishing. More adventurous guests can try parachuting, rafting or a wind tunnel. The Voss Train Station is only 800 metres away.

Pros: Easy 10 minute walk from train station. Good breakfast. A bit far to walk to a place to get dinner- recommend getting dinner/ shopping in town before checking in for the evening. Beautiful setting on the lake!

Pros: The staff was incredibly nice. There was a misunderstanding about breakfast times and they let us have breakfast even after it was long over. Also, the buffet was great. And the view over the lake is awesome!
Cons: The hallway and also the rooms look a bit like you're in prison. Also, I think it's rather expensive for a youth hostel.

Pros: The breakfast really was very good, as advertised. Great that they also had bags ready for taking sandwiches on the hike / cycling tour. Everything else also just worked as needed.
Cons: Some of the equipment could use replacement, such as the toilet seat. The bathroom door looked a bit weird, all water-soaked, though it worked just fine. Nothing dramatical.

Cons: They close the reception before official hours, sometimes many hours before closing time and you have to find on your own a free cabin to sleep (trying to open all of them one by one) without anyone attending or helping you despite having a reservation, as it happen to me. The kitchen has no dishes, cutlery, glasses, pans, or any utensil or appliance for cooking. There is only a small refrigerator and a tiny electric hotplate. Shower by coins.

Cons: Cabins are joined to each other - bad luck, we had noisy neighbours, not the owners’ fault Tourist spot on the coach tour itinerary, but still worth the stay as the waterfall is fab! Note - no cooking utensils or any kitchen equipment in the cabins (but there’s a good pizza place in Voss!)

Pros: Amazing location, right under the Tvindefossen waterfalls. I really recommend the footpath to the top of the waterfall. Cottage and bathrooms were clean.
Cons: Dishes were missing. We would really appreciate if there were some cups, glasses, plates and maybe one pot.
