We booked a triple room with private bathroom but the first night they gave us a really small room with french bed, probably the bedroom of their younger daughter, and the bathroom was in common with the family who own the Riad. We pay more than other clients of the Riad for a tour of Fez. I feel cheated for both: tour and room.
The host was kind of helpful if any help needed.
The room is very simple. The heater was not warm enough, shivering whole night. Bathroom was the dirtiest i have stayed during my trip. The host didn't fetch me at the airport at the first day as promised and didn't apologise. Location is a bit far from blue gate.
Hospitality of the hosts was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t do any more to make your stay the greatest. Authentic Riad with a great roof terrace. Daily breakfast with the family was a unique experience. Overall a pleasant stay. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who likes their luxuries. Good value for money. That is all that counts.
Room was very cold this time of year at night. No heater provided, but was given an extra blanket. There was barely any room to get down either side of my bed as it only just fit in the tiny room. Bathroom pretty basic! Which smelt a bit.
The Abqari family will welcome you into their home with open arms! They have an incredibly beautiful house with a terrace that overlooks the city. We had breakfast with them every morning and were able to meet fellow travelers as we drank Moroccan tea and ate together. The shower pressure was very good and the water was hot, which was great because we were there in December. Anything you need the family will help you out with. During our last day there, Fatima gave us beautiful henna tattoos! The house's location is right in the middle of the medina and is easy to find if you ask shopkeepers nearby.
We were there during the winter and the rooms were quite cold. We were lucky we got a room in the terrance because when talking to fellow travelers we realized that we were the only ones who had a heater in their room.
Welcoming attitude, breakfast and view from the terrace.
Cleanliness of the place and bad smells from the toilet.
