Pros (+) The hotel was very convenient to the train station, and not far from the airport. Exploring Florence was within walking distance from the hotel, and the taxi service was easily arranged at the front desk.
Cons (-) we used the Vecchio as our home base during our travels in and around Florence, and had a variety of rooms during our stay. The rooms varied in quality. One room had very noisy pipes in the bathroom and the shower was not enclosed. Only one of the rooms we had had a ceiling fan but each of our rooms had air conditioning .
