Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious with lots of home made and home grown produce.
Was all good!
The owners were simply lovely! They had a genuine passion for their business and it showed in every aspect of the property. Although it is a B&B, our room had separate a entryway than the rest of the property which felt very secluded and private. The grounds are really big and beautifully maintained, plenty of space for a nice walk. The breakfast was superb with most things on offer being home made, in particular the apple juice, apple cake and apple jelly all made from the apples grown on the property!
Breakfast is taken together with the hosts and other guests. Normandy theme incluidng local produce and the host's own apple juice and home baking. The restored house and its surrounding gardens are large and incredibly well maintained.
The breakfast was excellent and varied accepting that it was a typical French 'sweet' one and did not offer meats, eggs etc. The welcome was outstanding and the room and facilities very good indeed. Everything was done to make the evening meal an'event'- truly memorable with home prepared, country fayre and well chosen accompaniments. We enjoyed it so much more than the posh expensive and 'fiddly' hotel food we had experienced on the first 3 nights of our stay in France.
Nothing really. Maybe the bed was a little tired and approaching replacement, we tended to slide into the middle a bit. We soon adjusted and slept well.
Beautifully restored farmhouse, all extremely tasteful. We had a very warm welcome from Jean-Francis and Sabine. They obviously work very hard, and take great pride in their business . We booked for the evening meal, which was expertly cooked by Sabine, using home grown fruit and veg, and all local products. Delicious, and very good value, as in includes 5 courses, wines and aperitif! It’s run like a dinner party, all sit together, and are introduced by JF. We were a little nervous, as our French isn’t great, but JF translates and we were helped out by other guests! It was a great experience, we felt lucky to be there, highly recommend! Breakfast next day was superb also! Our room was downstairs. It was large, very quiet and comfortable, with a huge bathroom with a super walk in shower. Next morning we walked around the beautiful gardens/grounds. It’s hard to believe how well maintained everything is, when they have no outside help! There are 5 gypsy style caravans for rent in the grounds, all different colours! Very pretty and romantic looking! A super children’s play area too! Something for everyone ! We loved our one night stay, and would love to return .
Just one small thing... it was lovely to have tea making facilities in our room, but we didn’t use it as we really don’t like powdered milk!
