Conveniently located. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Free breakfast and free parking. Everything was great.
The breakfast was very good and the bed was so comfy,
Shocked at the 2 star rating, should be 3. Very clean, newer looking hotel.
Location and cleanliness. I think we should have been able to get in sooner since we were from out of town attending a wedding.
Good staff very helpful and friendly good free breakfast very quiet
Location Breakfast area was very small
They couldn't accommodate us early even though we asked months ago and they said to call early.
This hotel was very convenient and the staff are super friendly. They would try to the best to their abilities to accommodate all your needs. The breakfast was good and fresh. The hotel is also by all of restaurants and stores. No need to drive far! I stayed in a 'non-smoking' room, but you still could smell smoke in the room. I guess it came from the vents. The staff should probably use better deodorized products to freshen up the rooms.
Cleanliness, staff friendly Price, as a retired professional driver the same room would have cost half the price.

The room and hotel was clean and comfortable. A great continental breakfast too!
Easy in and out, no frills but nice clean room with adequate toiletries, friendly helpful staff. Property could be kept up a little nicer on the outside.
Good location. Well maintained property, inside and out. Super clean. Very well trained, helpful staff with great attitudes, both in person and on the phone. Overall, an excellent property in all respects at a very reasonable price. From here forward, this is my hotel in Raleigh. Nothing negative. It was all top notch.
Front desk staff very pleasant and understanding. Dirty, dismall and ended up leaving after 2 room changes got my deposit back from the agent. NEVER again. I stayed at a Hampton Inn and Suites, They should take a page out of their book.
Check in staff Renee was awesome! Room was nice and clean. There was nearly no food in breakfast. It opened at 7am and we arrived around 8am to find no eggs, pancakes, low on juice. I asked the front desk as there were others behind us looking for food. It took 15 minutes for the person to arrive. We left just as she arrived. There was a dog staying there. So now we must ask for no smoking and no pet rooms???
Very comfortable rooms...pool was good.. close to everything. Need a vehicle or uber, but everything pretty close.
Good value with friendly and helpful staff. The internet WiFi was very poor. Even though my room was very close to the front desk, the signal was so weak I struggled to do even simple email. Good thing I wasn't planning on doing anything important or work related. This needs to be fixed if they expect business travelers. The location is tough to find as it is tucked behind other businesses but once your are there, it is an easy on and off Rt1 for Cary or Raleigh.
The room was spacious and reasonably clean and comfortable The check in desk had a long line each time I walked by and it took about 10 minutes to get service each time with no eye contact or acknowledgement from the staff. The front desk staff who checked me in was disorganized and kept asking the same questions more than once. There was a leak in the hallway. There are stairs everywhere and I never did find the elevator. It is definitely not handicap or stroller friendly.
Very clean, great value, friendly front desk staff, new bathroom Scratchy thin sheets, oddly small sized pillows, no fridge in room
Clean Severely outdated bathroom, missing light bulbs in room.
The location was great. Very easy to get to and had lots of restaurants and nice businesses nearby. Very clean and comfortable. Very impressed by Best Western Plus
We were just staying for one night and it had everything we needed.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had more than I expected.
Felt clean, comfortable, and safe. Close to some decent dining options. All around great value. Staff was neutral upon our arrival -- not rude but not exactly friendly either. It didn't really have an impact really on our experience.
Location is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and airport. Modern, clean, airy and spacious lobby with indoor and outdoor seating. Rooms are modern, sheets and towels are fresh-smelling and clean. Soaps and toiletries replaced each day. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker in room-nice touch. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning and water in the afternoon. Newspaper is complimentary each day. Hallways are quiet at night. Staff is very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Stayed with my mother while visiting family who live in Cary area; she will find fault in any and everything, yet even she commented she would stay at this hotel again. Seriously, the best compliment ever. Very reasonable price-excellent value. Hook on door for towels was missing-a minor nuisance. On check out day at 9:00 am maid knocked on door repeatedly. I forgot to put do not disturb sign on door. I answered and told her we would be leaving soon, but she spoke little to no English, and kept repeating when we would check out. She eventually got the message, but annoying nonetheless.
The cleanliness, the indoor pool, the free cookies, and the business center so we could buy and print our hockey game tickets. :) We didn't love the bed comfort level, but we do have a temperpedic at home, so it just wasn't as comfortable.
It was a large clean room next to where we needed to be. The front desk was not friendly at all. Barely spoke to us or even looked at us. We did not feel welcomed at all. Worst check in ever.... Felt like an inconvenience to her. Breakfast was poor.
The day manager who helped resolve our choice to check out early was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The couch was so uncomfortable you couldn't even sit in it. There was an unusual odor in the suite that was not pleasant but couldn't really figure out what it was. The rooms were outdated. The breakfast was a joke. Very skimpy!
Breakfast could be upgraded
Room very clean. Continental breakfast good with a wide variety. Staff friendly
This was a very good, clean and appealing motel. We are from Ca. And had trouble locating it. It is back off the highway and at night NC does not have street lights and no large signs to let you see it from highway. Someone needs to do a better job with the breakfast. Bacon barely cooked! Sausage not cooked the 2nd day. Ran out of eggs. Large group of basketball women were there so maybe motel was unprepared for so many people.
The staff was nice. Our room was clean. Parking was convenient to our room and I liked the breakfast. I booked the hotel as something fun for my sons birthday with the intent on getting good use of the pool and hot tub. The pool was cold and too small to enjoy with just 7 kids in the pool. The hot tub was even smaller and couldn't enjoy it because it was full with 4 kids and another adult. The pool room was obviously out of sight / out of mind as the room needed tidying up and a restock of towels. All the chairs for adults/non-swimmers were soaked because they are 2 feet away from pool (too close). I clearly indicated on the website that I was booking the room for 1 adult and 3 small kids. I chose the king bed room because it was the best value and seemed like it would have met our sleeping requirements (3 kids on the king and the adult on the pull out). The king bed was great for the kids but the pull out sofa needs to be thrown out! Nothing positive can be said about the pull out bed. The mattress was so bad, I actually got poaked from a spring that stuck through it. The frame was so uncomfortable/unbearable I actually chose to sleep on the floor and was much more comfortable sleep. I'm sure for the average traveler the hotel was fine but for my intentions and experience it wasn't worth the discounted rate of 79.99. I'm confident I could of had a better experience at another hotel at that price.
Bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast bar was well supplied. House cleaning did not clean room on 2nd day.
Great staff, great breakfast, comfort level was great
Love staying at Embassy Suites, the omelet bar for breakfast and the large suites make the brand a good value for the money. Right off I-40 so easy to get around the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. Complementary airport shuttle (runs every 30 min). Quick walk to a strip mall with a bar and restaurants in it. Plenty of parking. The indoor pool/hot tub/sauna was a good place to relax. The rooms are starting to feel dated with the wallpaper border around the top of the rooms and the color palette was similar in vibe. The pool water level seemed a bit low since the water couldn't get into the side drains but was otherwise fine. Wish they didn't charge for wi-fi.
The convenience of where the hotel was located, everything was in walking distance While I don't think it was a bad area, there were a lot of people outside around the building. I didn't feel very comfortable getting in/out of my vehicle being that I was traveling alone. The toilet was also broken in the room, it was constantly running water. Check-in lady wasn't very friendly but the gentleman when I checked out was very nice
Comfortable beds, clean up to date rooms, and friendly staff.
The first room they gave us had the air conditioner hanging off he wall and a makeshift unit on the floor, the second room they gave us the smoke alarm was hanging off the wall and the bathroom looked nothing like the pictures it was old and very outdated. The room was dirty and the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. Oh and the staff was VERY unfriendly. We left and went to another hotel.
Newly renovated room No fridge No iron No WIFI (broken)
There isn't carpeting so you know that the floor is clean. The television worked well, even during several storms that occurred while we were there. They have guest laundry facilities. No coffee pot in the room, you have to ask for a hair dryer and iron and ironing board, only a few rooms had refrigerators and microwaves and those were booked the whole time we were there. The staff told me that they didn't have something and then my husband went and asked for the same thing later and they had plenty. They only leave soap ( that smelled terrible) and shampoo. No lotion, conditioner or any of the other little goodies that they usually leave.
My boyfriend and I loved the location. It was really close to everything in Cary. We also loved the room, it had a full kitchen and living room and balcony. Absolutely amazing. The staff was very polite. Everything was just so perfect! We didn't like that by 4-5pm the building was shading the pool.
The location was great. When we arrived to check in at 3 p.m., we were told that we'd have to wait 30 more minutes. We left to get an early dinner and came back 90 minutes later. Our room still wasn't ready. We were able to check in at 4:50 p.m. Then the air conditioner in our room didn't work and when that was fixed, it made such a loud noise we asked to change rooms the next morning. We were not able to get much rest with all of the noise. They accommodated that, but we had to take a room with a full size bed instead of the king like we had, and then the air conditioner in that room didn't work, so we had to call maintenance. While laying out by the pool, the workers were painting the building with their radio blasting and them talking, talking, talking, singing, etc. The three days we were there, there were cut tree branches in piles around the patio. What a mess. The hot tub at the pool was out of order as well. It wasn't enjoyable at all. We couldn't wait to leave.
Very nice clean accommodations. Competent friendly staff.
Room was very clean, spacious, and very affordable via Kayak. We saved over $150 for a 2 night stay with Kayak. Hot breakfast was out of service on one morning.
I really appreciated the friendly and knowledgable front desk staff. They were very professional and helpful throughout my stay. I loved they layout of my room and the pool(even though I couldn't enjoy it) looked amazing and the people in the pool looked like they were having tons of fun! Can't say there was anything I didn't like.
Plenty of space in a suite to have people meet after dinner. Very clean! Bathrooms were a bit small and dated but clean and functioned flawlessly.
Location was secluded very quiet No vending machine
Overall the facility was great in a desired location with plus size on the amnesties I don't know where to start about the staff. Lady was rude upon check in. Then when I get to the room it was not what I had booked. Took over an hour to come to understanding and still didn't get the room I booked. I will never stay here again
2 bedroom suite worked well for father and daughter in town for a multi day swim meet (requiring afternoon rest by the swimmer). Mattress was fine. Absolutely nothing plush about the space. Bedding was sad. The layer above the sheet (I can't call it a blanket) seemed like a thin mattress pad. It was soft. The coverlet had to be flammable. Both were only about as wide as the bed making it challenging for 2 people sharing the bed to have covers.
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Cary/Raleigh, but want easy access to shopping and dining, this is a perfect location. The hotel was majestic from the outside pulling in, and the lobby/dining areas were the same. Very classy. The room was a king suite, complete with full small modern kitchen, spacious living area, very comfortable and clean bed in the bedroom (which was slightly on the small side), and the room had a romantic vibe to it. The only thing less than ideal was the free breakfast included. It was mediocre at best.
Staff and room The breakfast food line was long...no food....no plates....terrible.....need new way of serving...only put a little out and wait again for more
It had the best bed and pillows I have ever slept on!
The bathroom was amazing. The room was clean and the furnishings very trendy. The breakfast area was a bit crowded but other than that no.
New, clean, quiet, friendly. Room was nicely designed.
Modern decor throughout. Very pleasing to the eye. The lobby is very chic too! Way to go, SHS! You exceeded my expectation. Nothing
Upon arrival we find out that are unavailable because they have no more king suites available. They told us that they found one available and we went up to our room. Once we unpacked out things and before we planned to go out for the evening we go to take a shower and we realize that the room is a handicapped room and the shower is extremely uncomfortable. I paid $130 for a nice romantic room to spend the weekend in Raleigh with my girlfriend for our first Valentine's Day. I was extremely dissatisfied with how the situation was handled. I would like a refund on my room due to the fact that the reservation was humbled by Doubletree Hot I would like a refund on my room due to the fact that the reservation was humbled by Doubletree.
The rooms were very clean and had beautiful bathrooms. The free cookies at check in/check out were a nice touch. There were no free travel amenities. When I asked guest services for q-tips I was told they "are available for purchase" at the small store in the lobby.
Hotel was clean.....several youth soccer and softball teams were staying here while participating in various tournaments and the public areas were still kept clean. Our room sink was not cleaned. We stayed 3 nights and the used soap bars were never changed and the soap was still in the sink
Yes... The fact that we had to leave 1 day before our time was up( due to a family emergency).... we stayed a total of 9 nights (not the 10 booked) and they could not do anything!
This is why I love Hampton Inn. You can count on impeccable cleanliness, a very comfortable, well furnished room and little unnecessary extras. I was in town on business and initially went barebones, staying at a competing "comfort in simplicity" chain for two days, trying to save a few bucks. It was not worth it! My room was tropical hot, and I couldn't control the temperature and the wifi was spotty at best... Then the latest winter storm front stranded me in Raleigh for two more days. To dampen the aggravation of Travel Hell, I decided to upgrade myself to a Hampon Inn for the extra two nights. Once I checked into the Hampton, everything got instantly better. The location is great. Several restaurant choices, the beltway within striking distance, and stores across Tryon road for all the stuff you didn't bring because you thought you'd be home by now. When I checked in, the complimentary cookies and very good fix-it-yourself coffee helped me to "reset" when I got to my room. When I logged into the wifi, I found Hampton now offers a five dollar premium wifi option (above the complimentary wifi) for those willing to pay for a faster, more reliable connection. Today, a fast, reliable internet connection is as essential as hot water! Of course, my room was impeccably clean; and everything was in great condition. Having seen the stark difference, I'm a fan of Hampton Inn for business travel going forward. I wanted a cookie every evening :-) but didn't see them my second night.
Very efficient, clean & friendly The bed was a little too hard for our liking, but the pillows were great
Breakfast selection was good and was close to gym and driving range
excellent front desk
Size of room
Hot breakfast was good. Easy access to internet. Staff was very polite & helpful without being effusive. The coffee in the room or at breakfast was not good. Perhaps we are coffee snobs! We usually grind our own beans from Leopard Forest Coffee Co., a place in Travelers Rest, SC.
Staff was friendly and the room was neat and clean. The shower was very nice and the breakfast was plentiful and decent. They were doing construction while we were there. There currently was no elevator, but the were installing one. We were on the second floor so that wasn't terrible, but if we had had a lot of luggage that would have been very inconvenient.
Doesn't have an elevator, which should be standard in 2015. Room service was kicking us out at 1110 acting like the place is busy when no one is there.
Great staff and provides great experience and great customer service! Hospitality is great! Def knows the meaning of customer service and how hospitality makes a difference. Needs an ATM and a small store
- The friendliness of the staff was top-notch. - The shower head was very nice and made for a good shower experience. - Above average breakfast. - Good location. - Great value for the money and would stay again. Bathrooms are rather small. When drying off with a towel, must step outside the bathroom into the main room to adequately dry off. - Bathroom tub appeared stained. - Bed was a little too firm for me and awakened several times to get more comfortable. - Hair dryer had an issue where it was difficult to reinsert back into its holder.
coffee all the time ; the breakfast is my choice for you
The hotel had an excellent chef. He prepared us a delicious meal on our first night when we had just spent the whole day in the car. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the pillows were very soft and the pool was having an issue.
The hotel staff was friendly and hepful The first room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The hall carpet was a mess and there were frayed edges at the door transitions. Overall cleanliness was poor. The second room was a little improved. No cigarette smoke odor everything else was about the same. We could have stayed in a similar hotel, in terms of overall condition, for less money. In fact we recently stayed at a newer facility for less.
You can check in early as 4 pm and I went at 7 pm and the room was not ready I have to wait 1 hr to I can check in Floors the pool is next to the elevator and the hallway it was al wet because people coming out fro the pool walk to the elevator was all wet make the floors wet
Hotel is gorgeous, greeted with convenience of valet and breakfast exceptional. Tablet in the room was cool and convenient. Room gorgeous. Bed super comfy. I would stay there again it's been more time to try the spa. The staff was very accommodating in and available for any need. Broken ice machine and fried green tomatoes. For a Resteraunt in the south you master this delicacy if you dare to serve it. By the way where was tub? Shower lovely but no garden tub a mistake in design.
I stayed there only 1 day, without complains
The food at The Bistro was Amazing! Hannah Rocks! Thank You for providing such great service.
I stayed at this hotel with the love of my life, I was the best time of our lives. And i owe it all to this hotel, the service and the room was just amazing we felt right at home. I would highly recommed this hotel to any couples who are in love and want to feel right at home.
The hotel was beyond our expectation. The front desk was very attentive, providing great recommendations for restaurants. They also provided type-written directions to nearby malls and movie theaters. The bed was SWEET and the room service was above average. The staff was attentive. I will return again.
Rooms are very plain. Work area is not functional. Needs to step-up to 00's - wireless internet would be nice. Bottomline -- very overpriced for the Cary area.
Everything about the room was fine except that it was a smoking room. I had reserved a non-smoking room. When I checked in, they told me I was getting a non-smoking room, but it was clear after I got into it that they had just aired out a smoking room and sprayed air freshener. When I complained they admitted that they were out of non-smoking rooms, so I was stuck. Just pretending to give the customer what they ordered and waiting to see if they catch on is not the quality of service I except from a Marriott.
Clean rooms and nice facilities. Enjoyed the hot tub which was located inside and the pool which was located outside in the courtyard. Breakfast was overpriced at $* per person. When we booked we were told free breakfast on the weekends, but were not given any vouchers. This made for a bit of an uncomfortable situation when we were brought a bill, but the wait staff took care of it after a brief explanation. Lesson learned... ask at check-in for free breakfast coupons/vouchers. I REALLY would not have wanted to pay $* each for what was offered. We liked the security of the Courtyard layout with pool and activities enclosed. There was some shopping close by, and better shopping several exits to the east. The biggest mall is much closer to Raleigh so might want to consider a closer hotel if you are there for the shopping. Otherwise, I would stay here again if visiting the Cary area.
this hotel was located near major roads and highways with easy access to restaurants and stores. the room was clean, great a/c, had a computer hook up if needed and great parking lot.'
This is hotel was more than i expected i fell in love at this hotel.
