Pool and lounge facilities were top notch. Beautiful building. Amazing view. Because of the view though, you end up quite a ways outside of Gatlinburg proper. Also the bed was akin to a hammock, which my back objected to
The overall stay was great
The staff could be better
I loved how safe and welcoming The Park Vista is. The family pool area was outstanding! Enjoyed!
Ate dinner downstairs at the onsite dining area. Didn't care for the Greek Chicken w/Couscous. Very dry
We were told we would have two queen sized beds and received two full size beds. For paying as much as we did, not a very nice room at all.
Property is worn out and looks decades old in style. Just a very outdated atmosphere. Room did not get cleaned one day. Maid went in took his/her tip, barely took the trash out, and left everything as she/he found it.
When most lower rated hotels would offer a free breakfast we found few amenities. Very disappointed that even the popcorn was overpriced at $3 a bag -should have been free. Other than that the view was beautiful and a nice pool.
The location of the Hotel was great. It was very scenic up on the hill. The food was good. The stay was very pleasant
We enjoyed everything
i felt like i was in a beautiful resort set in the mountains...i would defininetly stay there again.
the service at the resturant...it took way to long to get our food and at the buffet the food was cold but that was the only thing wrong there....the rest was wonderful..
Very convienient for the Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg. A short drive also takes you to the start of the trail that leads to the Rainbow Falls.
The restaurant was shambolic. The place is set up to assume you want to eat at the buffet. Any request from the menu seems to upset the staff. My wife had the worst steak she's ever been offered. Also don't be fooled by the scenic views presented in the advertisement. This is a round hotel, if you're at the back of the circle (room numbers 05 to 12) on one of the lower floors the view extends over the roof of the swimming pool as far as the otherside of the pool and nothing else. The reception also made it clear at check in that they could not swap the room as the hotel was full. I have to say the place didn't seem very full and the impression given was that you'd got a cheap room via Booking.com so you get the rubbish at the back.
