pool + beach options were great; would prefer a smaller option breakfast at a lower price point; staff was awesome; upgraded our room which was a bonus
prices; beach side vs resort side = lots of walking (which is okay but got a little tiresome sometimes)
Not worth the money
The staff at the hotel was very helpful and attentive.
The hotel is simply not worth the money. Our room was dated and not worth the price that they are charging for the room. The room was mediocre but with what they charge and the Ritz Carlton name I expected and outstanding room with a wow factor.
All good food room etc great hotel
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel is certainly very impressive, particularly when one considers it is on a small island and not on the mainland where everything has to be ferried in. There are I believe 60 nationalities, all very competent, friendly and helpful which makes for a very pleasant stay. There are various restaurants on the property serving high quality food by well trained knowledgeable staff. The Resort also has various shops including a very top end jewellery store so little need to leave the premises. I noted too that children were very well catered for, it must certainly be the best hotel on the island.
This is a copy of the letter which I wrote to the Hotel after our visit and which did not merit an acknowledgement from them. We have now arrived in our holiday home in The Bahamas and I have had a moment to read through the Bill which was presented to us for our stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Grand Cayman. First of all may I say that in parts, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Caymans. Living on an island we understand the difficulties that are faced with staff, training, provisions etc. etc. but considering the fact that we probably had the. WORST. Room in the Resort No 272. I genuinely consider that the charges made exaggerated $969. 00+. $125.97. +. $96.90. +. $75.00 =. $1266.87 to look at a dirty pontoon. - if the light is good enough, seriously. ? I could also nitpick about the exorbitant cost of 2 Club Sandwiches in the Bar but suffice is to say that this year alone I have made more than 45 flights, have stayed at Gleneagles in Scotland, The Ritz in London, Shangri-La in Singapore and equally exceptional hotels in other parts of the world but have never felt that my nose has been pulled as I have on this occasion. I doubt I would consider a return visit.
Loved this property
From the moment we arrived to when we departed, everything was just superb. They made our sons birthday very special and we enjoyed every moment of our trip at the resort.
