Pros: Everything was perfect. One of our best experience so far. We will return
Pros: exquisite tranquility and beauty.....authentic and stylish at the same time unmissable....perfect Moroccan French taste....staff so delightful. I must return....wine is too pricey and the coffee too strong other wise perfection. Sophie is a world class delight . nothing too much trouble.
Cons: wine expensive- coffee to strong boiled up. but who cares when in the pleasure of lovely people and setting so exquisite.
Pros: This little Riad in the middle of nowhere is really beautiful and it's been decorated with good taste. It's a lovely mix of minimalism with Moroccan flavour. The staff are very lovely and friendly (in spite of the language barrier). The pool area and garden are stunning and it's a great place to relax and do nothing for a couple of days. The owner was going to the beach one day and she offered to take us with her. We went to this empty deserted beach which was fantastic.
Cons: There is a lot of room for improvement in this charming hotel. The value for money regarding food (specially lunch) is terrible. You are in the middle of nowhere with not even a little grocery shop within walking distance, so if you don't hire a car you are stuck having all your meals at the Riad. And for what you get, (10Euros set price) boiled pasta or boiled vegetables with little else for lunch, it is definitely not worth it. I would recommend avoiding having meals (besides the free breakfast) at all at the hotel. You'll find some of the BEST restaurants in town offer way better food at much more competitive prices. Therefore renting a car is a MUST. We were there for 7 nights and our bedsheets were never changed. By day 5 (after trying to leave towels on the floor as a request sign for changing - as in many hotels around the world) I had to request our towels to be changed as they would just semi fold the dirty ones and put them back on the towel rack. Last but not least, the owner seems fairly new to the business and tends to be really unprofessional, always putting her personal an social affairs before guests'. She would yell at staff, let her temper get the best of her and behave very rude and unprofessional towards guests. She only speaks French so it is very hard to communicate with her and she would get exasperated whenever we couldn't understand what she was saying. So be ready to bring your best French with you or download a translator as there is no other way around it! We had a nice experience that was tainted by her unprofessional behaviour when trying to set our bill, so we won't be coming back.
Pros: It was simply perfect. A quiet oasis. A very stylish property with all facilities and comfort that you need. A breath of fresh air away from the tourist sites. Easy to drive to and close to quieter sandy beaches with less tourists. Dinner in was delicious and very peaceful. The rooms were lovely and very stylish. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious all round. would definitely recommend. A real gem.
Pros: Amazing little riad! owner was incredibly pleasant and staff as well. Its a 3 room riad with a lovely communal area and a pool. it was VERY clean, bright & airy and really private. Our suite was amazing with lots of lamps and long windows. We truly enjoyed staying here and would go back in a heartbeat. Only downside is its pretty far away from essaouria centre and the owner had to call taxis for us which charged more than normal. Its on a bad road as well with not much around. However, its perfect for a private getaway.
Pros: A beautiful setting, the Dar Alya is a tranquil and peaceful place away from the madness of Morocco. Each room is beautiful, with its own fireplace and well finished bathroom. Comfortable and stylish, you will be very comfy. Lovely pool area, with sunbeds to relax and enjoy your holiday. Sophie was a very attentive and kind host
Cons: I woudl say this is more of a guest house, not a hotel. Its very intimate and there is no menu or service during the day, meals are set - those with any preference or dietary needs will struggle. French speaking is a must. You are in the middle of the rural country side, so do not expect any amenities (just the sounds and smell of the farm!) It is GREAT value for money so you are generally able to look past these things!
Pros: Beautiful, modern, chic compound outside of Essaouira. Super relaxing, gorgeous pool area, great staff and delicious food too! A great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the medinas! Heated bathroom floors a luxurious bonus!
Cons: The adorable energetic host Sophie doesn't speak English, so just be ready with your Google Translate if you want to communicate with her. We had some nice conversations this way! Also, be sure your taxi driver is prepared to drive down the long gravel road to the property, ours misunderstood and tried to drop us of in the town 2km away! And just think twice about lighting a fire in the fireplace. We managed to fill our whole room with smoke as we were turning in for the night : )
Pros: I am a vet seasoned traveller both for pleasure and for work. We arrived in Essaouira from Marrakech for 36 hrs and truth be told after booking into a very nice hotel in the centre of town, I knew I couldn’t handle the noise, pace, madness ... I wanted to escape and escape I did. The rooms are stunning as is the whole property, I just wish the pool had been heated that day as it’s stunning too. Note: the pool is usually heated, but there was a problem that day. It really is far from the maddening crowd but just 20 mins outside the main town. Food was delicious, breakfast, coffee, eggs ... a beautiful, delicious escape. 100% recommend it to anyone with taste, a penchant for finding hidden gems and a desire to escape and find tranquility.
Pros: We had a great stay at Dar Alya. The place is just stunning - everything is beautifully arranged and furnished. Sophia, the owner is very helpful und gave us a lot of great recommendations. The staff is very sweet and welcoming. We had dinner twice and it was really really good. The price-value is more then fair. We would recommend it to everybody. We would suggest to have a rental car as it is located more on the countryside.

Pros: Nice Rooms , helpful and friendly People ,
Pros: Lunch, dinner and breakfast were really good. The tranquility.
Pros: A lovely location meets french winemaking. It‘s a great, relaxing fit. Excellent Dinner and breakfast, friendly and professional staff. Ask for a free (short) guided tour. Degustation available.
Pros: The position in the middle of a vineyard is fantastic. The wines are good too
Cons: Cold dining room
Pros: A real French villa in Morocco amidst fruit groves and a vineyard
Pros: We had a very nice stay with a very good dinner at the evening together with a good red wine from the vinyard.
Pros: Very welcoming owner and staff. We were given an upgrade to a room in the upper floor with balcony and views of the snowy mountains. Interior is ok, unfortunatley garden and pool area look a bit neglected. Very nice breakfast at the pool side. Food in the restaurant very good, small menu but various options available and big portions. WIFI works well. We liked the location in the country side and near a village
Pros: Beautiful location and good design
Cons: Confusing. We felt as if there off season with limited direction from staff, no cushions/towels at the pool, and inn reception closed.
Pros: Food and wine was fantastic, kind staff, nice rooms
Cons: No internet available
Pros: The food and wine are so delicious The staff is friendly and helpful The Chef Rahma, took amazing fresh ingredients and just elevated them.
