Because the weather was hot, the hostess offered us the choice of whether to stay in a cooler room downstairs with a separate (and large) bathroom at no extra cost. The breakfast was good. We stayed two night's and the breakfast varied on both days.
You should be able to lock the room that you're staying in if you want to. There's a lock for the front door and for the gate to the house though.
Excellent stay, owners friendly and helpful, breakfast very nice and plenty of it.
The building itself is quaint. It was clean, but we had ants in the bathroom. There were nice towels.
When staying anywhere I think there are basics that one would expect. A door with a lock to secure one’s valuables and oneself would be primary. This place had a front door that locked, but the rooms do not have a lock! I had to take my valuables with me when I went out to dinner as they could not be secured properly. I could not even bolt the door when I was inside my room. I felt very unsafe. For a solo traveler this would be outright dangerous. I slept with one eye open. After breakfast I went back to the room to change before going out. I was shocked when the proprietor barged into my room. She did not even knock. I was horrified. She said she thought I left and taken the key.
Beautiful home with lovely host and great location- short walk to the bike/ walking path.
Beautiful grounds, private rooms together on one level
Very basic, nothing actually wrong
