Cons: room was draughty smelly (sheets & pillows smelled of Smoke) was refunded & Moved the next day
Pros: the resturant / pub had good food
Pros: The girl on reception was very helpful on Friday Night the 22nd October getting us a detailed map of where we needed to go the next day. Very good people skills among the staff at the hotel and they made you feel welcome
Cons: The colour scheme is awful, the hotel which is old had the potential to be homely and lovely without having to be luxurious, but the planners made a hotel which lacks atmosphere
Pros: Room clean and functional. Good light in the room to work by
Cons: Shower pressure was very poor - had to wash my hair under the tap. Service at breakfast was very slow.
Pros: The staff were extremely obliging and most welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Breakfast options were very good from full English all you can eat to simple croissant continental breakfast. Bathroom toiletries were minimal, wjich you'd expect in this level of hotel. Beautiful old house, appropriately converted for hotel use, with extensive gardens, lake, etc.
Cons: No lift and no room telephones.
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The lovely building and its surroundings. The breakfast was good with quick service.
Cons: The beds were hard and uncomfortable, the childrens put up bed on the floor in particular. Also needed instructions on opening the window left on the desk would be helpful.
Pros: The Receptionist was absolutely lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful.
Cons: That the rooms were seperate from the hotel.
Pros: We were treated with great politeness and courtesy.
Pros: Rural location, food in restaurant
Cons: Noisy, tired hotel needs refurbishment
