friendly staff. I have rarely if ever met a nicer more hospitable bunch. n/a
Good location and good value for money Shower did not work, got a smoking room when I'd asked for non smoking, no room service
Genuine friendleness and courtesy of the staff. Would consider this & facilities, though not availed of, most highly. Also food and the service of same excellent.
The hotel has a beautiful lobby and a friendly and efficient front desk. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Nearby is Coole Park which is nice for a stroll.
Room was clean and comfortable. Close to everything. Breakfast was great.
Really a small, clean, very well appointed and modern hotel right in the heart of a charming small town, a ten minute walk to the castle. Food was good. WiFi was free but slow. Otherwise was wonderful, probably the best value in our entire trip.
A great hotel with great facilities, happy and helpful staff and only a short drive from Galway city center.
lots of intertainment for the family
Really warm and clean room The Duvet had holes on it.Also the back part of the tv remote control was broken
The breakfast is excellent. Although our booking did not include breakfast, we paid extra for breakfast but it was well worth the money. Bed was a little too soft, also windows were draughty. Apart from that everything was excellent.
Great Hotel Couldn't fault anything
The restaurant was fantastic Bed was a little too small
I booked a triple room for 3 adults and there was a double and 2 singles. I loved that fact it was a very spacious room, good natural light and a good powerful shower. I thought the reception entrance wasn't in the best location and was poorly signposted. I parked a good bit away and trying to get and find the entrance in the snow and ice was difficult. Also better lighting in the room
the customer service was excellent
Facilities, especially for children. Spacious dining/drinking areas. Very sociable foyer!
all good on all fronts
Leisure centre, car parking, food, reception staff Bed linen was quite "tired". It cold do with a fresen up The wireless internet access should be free for guests
peace and quiet and location
The staff were excellent. My son was the centre of attention in the hotel and he had a ball of a time.
Very handy for Oranmore village, only a 5 minute walk away. Friendly & very helpful staff. No lockers in Leisure complex for valuables.
I was very pleased with everything, only disappointed that no breakfast was included in the package, why should we have to pay extra?? no
stayed in the cheery suite, was excellant
The Staff was very kind and helpfull
Near to the airport No internet access in bedroom
Good Location and use of gym and leisure centre is great. Staff could be a bit more cheery. Bed was uncomfortable and this hotel should not be classed as a 4star iv seen better 3stars
All the staff were very friendly and we really felt at home. The massage and facial was heavenly. The pool was a good temperature for children. The childrens bar food was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and a good size. Adult bar food was just average and a bit over-priced
The bright breakfast dining room and the number of staff on hand. The room was a bit dark with lighting not in the right places.Very dark panelling , you couldn't see into the wardrobe where the tea and safe facilities were. No lights nearby.
Help and friendly attitude of the Staff The lighting arrangement in the Bedroom.
Training of waiting staff in restaurant
The Food Was good Except for totally getting the order wrong on our second night. Not worth at 4 Star Rating. The Room was Far too small, the bathroom was so dark, lighting was very bad in the room. the bed was two singles beds stuck together. the bar had no atmosphere. Not much to do in the hotel. dissapointing for what we paid. Not many channels on the TV. No Fridge in the room or bathrobes.
The quiet, but mostly the staff- your best asset! Attention to the practical use of the spa- no place to hang bathrobes towels, jacuzzi at top of steps, towels stored at bottom with as above nowhere to hang bathrobe. Changing room toilet seat broken and placed on floor, toilet roll poor quality. Simple issues but speak volumes.
The bed was so comfortable and the food was good The heat was not on in the room before we arrived so found it a little chilly at first. Improvements could be made with the breakfast!
This is from mrs lynn MCCREADY:It felt like home from home to me. The only reason I did not put it in the "luxury" category is that we have experienced the term "luxury" in Dubai, they truly are luxury albeit "over the top". For Ireland, your hotel certainly does have those touches. It certainly is the category and group of hotel I prefer. The soundproofing. The rooms on the front of the hotel, overlooking the lake are subject to "boom boom boom" from the nightclub in the evenings. It would be a good idea if one of your senior managers could actually be present in one of those rooms when the nightclub is in full swing.
Its a nice clean modern hotel The Rooms and bathroom are very dark !
nice, modern too noisy
Clean rooms, very comfortable beds, Breakfast finished at 10:30 on a Sunday
great place, the staff made me feel as though I was at home. Breakfast was excellent too. the cheesy egg is delicious
Fantastic breakfast, spacious room, family atmosphere, way better than a commercial hotel
I loved the people--they were so helpful and sweet. The breakfasts were delicious!
Bright , clean , very welcoming None
Welcoming and friendly owners of the guesthouse always willing to help and give guidance. Good access to the motorway and the airport. Nothing.
Great Hosts - extremely clean. Quiet location (a little difficult to find first time around).
The staff are so welcoming and extremely accommodating. The level of detail in the decor is incredible. All the rooms and grounds are kept in impeccable condition.. If you are looking for a quiet , peaceful retreat from everyday life, this is the place to do it in. And it's location is excellent. Right along the weir and 5minutes from Moran's Oyster cottage. I will be returning.
Really warm welcome from lovely hosts, large, comfortable room, perfect peace and quiet, free wifi and a great shower. One of the best Irish breakfasts to be found - a really good menu, which we chose in advance and which was served early at our request. Too much to eat - no bother, the hostess immediately offered to wrap it up so that we could enjoy a cold snack on our off-road fund-raising adventure. Apologies from the youngest member of the party who promptly left it in the room ....! This is a lovely place to stay and we highly recommend it.
My wife and I loved Cappabhaile House and would highly recommend it. We'll be back again next year without doubt. The staff were polite and very helpful and we loved the location. 10 out of 10.
The owners are wonderful. The room was spacious and clean, the common area was comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent.
The room was large and comfortable, the heat worked, and the views outside the room were delightful. The breakfast was hearty and good. Would recommend.
Big room, god breakfast, informative and helpful hosts The water went off gfr a few hours
Excellent welcome and warm feelings. Breakfast is magnificent and you are made to feel as one of the family None
Everything was wonderful. The beach, mountains, nature, country were all within driving distance. The room was huge and very nice and comfy. The staff was excellent and helpful. In the common areas, there was lots of couches, a pool table, a laptop with free internet, and dining area.
great location, beautiful and spacious rooms, friendly staff, couldn't have asked for anything more.
Extremly helpful innkeeper, helped to book next night's stay with another hotel and directions, as well as dinner plans.
We found the staff to be very helpful (and they gave good directions to nearby sites). Our room was very spacious and had lovely furnishings. Breakfast in the dining area was plentiful and tasty. Internet accessibility was a plus. Although there was an electric hot pot for tea and coffee, there was no really convenient place to plug it in.
We had stayed there before, and on our way to catch the ferry to Arran Island, it was a good overnight break location, We tried to book it earlier in the summer but it was full. On the Friday night, after midnight (1am onwards), we were disturbed by loud talking and doors banging right under our bedroom window a number of times.
The staff were helpful and our room was very clean and the proximity to the town and its restaurants and bars was very convenient.
We liked the variety/choice of food at breakfast time. coffee was very good. ANothing we disliked but we did mss a clock/radio in the room - fortunately we did not need an early call or set an alarm. The hotel should invest in a computer for guests to use if only to send emails for communication . Lots of hotels we have used have these facilities.
The hotel was nice but the bathroom wasn't very clean, we did mention this but not alot was done about this.
we were the only couple staying
room facilities & size, pub facilities & food choice & quality, location, service looks better on the outside than inside. Rooms are looking a bit tired & ours could have been cleaner. [especially mattress side which had large brown stain] Beds with duvets create a 'cleaner' impression than blankets [NB blanket was freshly laundered]
Very comfortable room and spotlessly clean-also extremely pleasant staff and good atmosphere. Good car parking.Restful and tasteful decor--Kerry wool blankets on beds etc.it felt like a smoothly run hotel
The cosiness and convenience of the lounge...especially due to the fine treatment by Colette! Not a major issue but the front lobby could stand more colorful or interesting decor...maybe some ferns, etc.
The staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. Food was great and excellent value for the money. There should be heating controls in the rooms, not at the reception desk.
Quiet, Clean, well located No
friendly staff, clean comfortable hotel, perfect location for exploring the Burren, Co. Clare by bike. Great food.
Lovely local irish staff! Excellent food. N/A
Very warm, welcoming and helpful staff. Fantastic location, Great breakfast. We like this hotel very much and will definitely return there. We highly recommend it. Cleaner persisted in arriving to clean the rooms at 5pm each day, typically when we had just arrived back from active days out and wanted to relax. When we asked her to clean the rooms earlier, she said she couldn't speak English and was unable to understand the request - a clear lie as we heard her speaking English to her colleague later..
It is a nice family hotel in a central location as a base to visit the Burren. The rooms are clean and the staff very friendly. For the money its good value, I would go back again.
Friendly staff, beautiful location, good bar atmosphere and good company. Very good value with good breakfast. None
Most staff members very friendly and helpful. TV reception very poor. We had to to go to other establishments to view European Cup and Wimbledon, which meant we ate out too. Other places have Sky, why can't Hylands? Otherwise, fine.
Best nite I had in a long time
The meal in the evening was fantastic. they were very obliging and freindly staff
