Cons: Toilet leaked and air conditioning rattled loudly at times. Just turned of to sleep

Pros: It was a place to stop for the night after 16 hours of driving.
Cons: Dirty, old, no soap, bedding was not clean- I slept with a blanket from the truck, the carpet was crunchy with dirt and pet potty stains . There was a bar just a few doors from the room, many drunk /high people - one kept trying to hit on my husband and special needs adult son.

Pros: I had to delay my arrival twice due to first, delayed sailing of the Alaska State ferry, then the second time when the ferry was declared inoperable partway through the sailing and passengers had to proceed by plane and their vehicles by barge. This took an extra 10 days. The Parkside proprietress willingly extended my "no cancellation" reservation each time. I have stayed in many "rural" facilities in Alaska and Canada, this is one of the nicest.

Cons: Stains, dirt and dust everywhere. Hairs in the bathtub and sink. The table in the room was full of coffee stains and other dirt (I guess no one cleaned it for a long time because the layer of dust was really thick). Very old furniture. The small shampoos were almost empty (and hence used...)

Pros: Close to, but not right on the highway.
Cons: One of the worst places I've stayed in, in a long time. Poor night's sleep. The mattress should have been changed out years ago along with the pillows. Looks to me that someone is trying to save money. The thermostat appears not to work. Cold outside but roasting inside. Tried to turn down the thermostat to no avail.

Pros: I appreciated the fact that since we were getting there late they left a note on their business door for us and the room was unlocked Good old AK service !
Cons: The carpet kind of overrides everything it is old & grungy I'm sure it was vacuumed but it's hard to get really old carpet clean looking

Cons: We ran into car problems and the hotel owner gave my room away. I arrived and told him the situation. I asked if he would charge me because I could not call him to tell him I would be late he said "no charge" so I went to another hotel. On my card he charged me for the room after telling me he wouldn't. The room was giving away and the hotel was full so he got his money out of another person. Very displeased with the integrity of the owner......

Pros: We loved staying at this rental. It felt like home and was a nice change from staying at a hotel. It was clean, cozy and best of all, pet friendly!

Pros: Entry to the apartment is by lock box and the details of the code had been provided to us well in advance of our arrival. The apartment is elegant and comfortable - the owners have tried hard to make it eco friendly and the result is very good. The view from the large window in the lounge room is stunning and looks out directly at the Saint Elias Mountains. I have nothing but praise for this accommodation and its owner. Thank you.

Pros: Beautiful space with amazing views. It was -44 outside and the cozy fire kept us warm. Living room was comfortable and perfect for visiting. Kitchen was well equipped, (it had everything..even had beaters for whipped cream) Beds were comfortable and it was quiet for sleeping. It was the perfect place for visit with friends.

Cons: Beds were small and hard It is cold when we arrived Advertised breakfast included but when we arrived we were told it was off season so if we wanted anything it would only be from 7:30-8:30. Disappointing as we had booked this as a leisure valentines getaway. Won’t be back while under this management
