Pros: love the location of the resort. The pool area is very nice and a great place to relax.
Cons: Food pretty expensive
Cons: Received a notice the night before my stay that my reservation had been cancelled.
Pros: Very friendly staff.
Cons: Food is very pricey but good

Pros: I really liked how close the hotel is to the beach and the restaurants. Also, the Hawaiian feel the resort has really made me feel like we were on a Hawaiian vacation. Loved it!
At Ocean Palms Beach Resort, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Legoland California and Carlsbad Premium Outlets. You can go for a morning swim at the outdoor pool and visit the fitness center for a workout. A spa tub and a snack bar/deli are offered, and in-room conveniences include refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Excellent service--definitely well attended and pampered. Beds are comfortable and maid service spot on.
The location of the hotel makes it peaceful, good views, and quiet. But it requires driving around to the beach, any activities, and food is extremely limited in options/budget choices for miles.
Cons: There are two parts of the resort, a distance apart on a hill. While they are great about providing shuttles, it does really make a difference.
The Summit: where the kids club room is located, so it was important for us to be here. But the pool is smaller, and the spa/restaurant are a distance away.
The Meadows: feels a bit swankier, the main lobby of the hotel where to get beach equipment and movies. So staying here might be more central/convenient. NIcer pool and longer food service for pool.
Just 4 mi (6.5 km) from the airport, Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, North San Diego puts you within a 10-minute drive of Legoland California and Carlsbad Premium Outlets. You can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, detox wraps, or aromatherapy, and Californian cuisine is served at Seasons Restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 2 outdoor pools and a 24-hour fitness center are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious hotel offer up nice touches like pillowtop beds with premium linens.
Pros: The view was picturesque . Shannon the at the front desk carries this place, she should go into hotel management.
Cons: Seriously outdated rooms, tripped several times on the uneven flooring in room 26. The carpet felt like it had been laid over another carpet that had been folded over in different areas.
Bedding was not what I expected for the money that they charged for an exclusive room. Maid service needs basic bed making 101, how to tuck in the bottom sheet so patrons feet are not touching the mattress pad. Pool was cloudy, ran out of towels. All round we were not impressed with anything the Beach Terrace Inn had to offer.
Pros: I liked:
Friendly, helpful staff
Location on the beach
Large attractive room with king bed
Pool & beach facing room view
Large fancy bathroom
Wine glasses and corkscrew provided
Very close parking
Continental breakfast buffet and ample seating
Beach equipment loan
Cons: I didn't like:
Steep, narrow stairways
High price (well, it was right on the beach!)
Pros: Loved being right on the icean and watching sunsets and hearing surf right out of our room. Appreciated continental breakfast. Lovely accomodations. Might be a little difficult for handicapped person to get around, however.
Cons: The Internet service kept booting me off. My husband could not talk on his iphone (sprint) unless he went out in front of the hotel. I guess Carlsbad limits cell towers.
Pros: I have stayed at the Beach Terrace Inn several times and have always been happy with the staff and service. The rooms are large and well appointed. The location is great as it is on the beach with most rooms having full, unobstructed views of the beach and Pacific Ocean. It is also only a block away from very nice restaurants and shops. No street noise, just the sound of the surf.
With a stay at Beach Terrace Inn, you'll be centrally located in Carlsbad, convenient to Carlsbad State Beach and Carlsbad Premium Outlets. This beach hotel is within close proximity of Oceanside Pier and California Surf Museum.
Make yourself at home in one of the 48 air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators and iPod docking stations. Your pillowtop bed comes with down comforters. Complimentary wireless Internet access keeps you connected, and cable programming is available for your entertainment. Private bathrooms with showers feature rainfall showerheads and complimentary toiletries.
Enjoy recreational amenities such as an outdoor pool and a spa tub. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, wedding services, and a fireplace in the lobby.
A complimentary continental breakfast is included.
Business, Other Amenities
Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Carlsbad? This hotel has facilities measuring 1120 square feet (104 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything - it was very unassuming and we were more than surprised.
Cons: Wasn't anything we didn't like
Pros: The s'more kit upon check in, super friendly and helpful staff. Very nice room, comfortable and well maintained.
Cons: We were in town for a soccer tournament and the weather was in 60s so we would have liked to enjoy the pool and lake activities.
Pros: We loved the room, bed was really comfortable. Had a great nights sleep. The pool area is great. Cabanas, two pools, two jacuzzis, and two firepitts. Plenty of space.
Cons: Staff was nice but not very knowledgeable. No one ever went out of their way to help if there was a problem.
Pros: We LOVED our one-night stay at the Lakehouse! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left - everything was perfect. We booked it last minute as a fun little getaway during the holidays. We got a pretty good deal since we stayed the night before New Year's Eve (12/30). The hotel texted us to let us know our room was ready and we were able to check in around 1 PM.
We had a ground floor pool view room. Every room has a balcony with bright yellow adirondack chairs and it was really nice sitting outside our room, with a cup of coffee and my book. They had quiet reggae music playing at the pool and I really enjoyed it!
The room was IMMACULATE. Everything felt new and crisp and clean. I loved the color scheme and layout too. The room was really spacious and just overall lovely. It was just 2 of us for one night but I did notice that there were a TON of outlets throughout the room. Nice touch in this day and age when we all have so many electronics to charge :)
The pools were both heated and almost warm enough for me to swim in (On December 30, mind you). We loved the jacuzzis though! I wish we'd been there on a Friday when they serve Sangria at the pool! (oh well, we'll just have to go back).
In the evening they have fire pits around the pools that they light and it was really pretty and romantic.
The grounds were really peaceful and tranquil. And even though the hotel was probably at low to moderate capacity - it feels like the type of place that even when it's full, it doesn't feel crowded. I noticed that another couple was checked into the room next to us, and there were people above them, but I never heard anyone at all when we were in our room.
They serve free coffee in the morning at their little cafe and it was better than that your standard free hotel coffee.
We walked by the lake, but didn't participate in any of the many lake activities. I also went for a run in the neighborhood in the morning and it's a really cute little community.
We had a great time at the Lakehouse and kept saying we really wanted to bring friends back!
Pros: great value for the price. We had a great time !
Cons: Tons of bugs. Couldn't use the beautiful balcony.
Pros: I loved the room and the fact that it was right by the lake. It had a great view.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that hardly and water came out from the shower or the sink but besides that everything else was great!
Pros: The Lakehouse has a lot of potential and gets a lot of things right, but it lets the little details get in the way of really hitting the mark.
- Comfortable beds
- Full showers
- Beautiful pools
- Friendly staff
- Free Wi-Fi
- Free parking
- Mini fridge
- Activities for kids
- Outside light
- No safe in room
- No plugs at computer desk
- Wi-Fi drops and is unreliable
Most rooms are motel-style and open directly to the outside, which can be noisy and makes it much easier for bugs to end up in the room (especially with the rooms being so close to the lake). We had mosquitos and silverfish in our room two or three days in a row.
Pros: Loved the atmosphere. Calm by the lake. Family oriented! Felt like vacation! Music, bar, and s'mores by the pool! The lake and the boat rental our favorite part!
Cons: Drinks at the pool bar a little pricey.
Pros: Super helpful and friendly staff, nice facilities, pools were awesome for relaxing during the day.
Cons: The check-in time of four and check-out time of eleven is a little tight, but we requested a later check out (noon) and that made it closer to what we are used to at other hotels. They offered to let us use the pool after checking out so that was really nice of them.
Pros: Great staff, truly care about you...my husband was having surgery and they wanted to make sure he had everything he needed to be comtorable and have a room on the first floor and they also upgraded us to a room that was right on the lake free of charge:) amazing beds, showers, true spa like feel
Cons: The only thing that bothers me is that you can't check in until 4 and you have to check out by 11
Cons: The room was smaller than I expected. The layout of the room was also weird
Location. Situated on a lake, Lakehouse Hotel and Resort is 40 miles from SeaWorld, San Diego International Airport, and the Gaslamp Quarter. Legoland and San Diego Wild Animal Park are both within 15 miles (24 kilometers).
Resort Features. Guests enjoy 2 outdoor pools and a spa tub. Meeting and event space can accommodate 100 guests, and the resort's lakefront is a popular spot for weddings. The lobby provides complimentary coffee and a television. Front-desk staff are available 24 hours. There is an on-site restaurant and a pool bar, and breakfast is available (surcharge). On-site secure parking is free during stay.
Guestrooms. Lakehouse Hotel and Resort has 142 guestrooms, all with air-conditioning. Televisions are equipped with premium channels and pay movies. Direct-dial phones have voice mail. Other amenities include complimentary coffee, clock radios, hair dryers, and irons and ironing boards. Guests can request in-room spa services, including facials, massages, body treatments, yoga, fitness services, and complete spa packages (advance reservations required).
Pros: The people were wonderful. Really not worth the money - I've stayed at much nicer hotels for less.
Cons: Just not my cup of tea. I was there for a conference and the conference was held at the hotel - so it was convenient - I will probably stay offsite next year for less money.
Cons: The bathroom was too small for the room
Pros: Loved the setting and the grounds. The room size was huge with a separate bath tub from the shower stall which was really nice. Love the out door patio and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: The room smelled very musty and was freezing, probably to hide the smell. I never could get the room warm enough for my wife and I but fortunately, it was a VERY WARM weekend and we left the french doors open the whole time to get that desired warmth into the room. We were an older room of theirs so I'm not sure if this is the reason for the musty smell but it was pretty strong for our stay there. Had I been there more than one night, I definitely would have requested another room.
Cons: They didn't have my reservation and asked me to send an email to confirm that I had a reservation
Pros: I liked that the resort has a welcoming feel and that most all of the rooms (besides the villas) were surrounded by the amenities.
Cons: 1. The prices in the Marketplace. $16 for a water noodle, when they sell them for $7 right down the street! That would be hard especially for people who are having to buy for more than one kid.
2. Our bed. It was not very comfortable
Cons: We were looking for a quiet getaway; this was not it. There were families with kids above and next to our room and we got pretty bad sleep. Slamming doors, loud TV's, running and on and on - quite late and then early in the morning. I asked for a quiet room and got nothing but noise.
Pros: Love this place... Property grounds are impeccable! Rooms are clean and updated. Always a great time!
Pros: The room and pool area was nice. Blue fire grill was fabulous!
Cons: Front desk staff was unhelpful on multiple occasions. The day spa is mediocre at best and is long overdue for renovations! Indoor facility grout is disgusting and the indoor hot tubs are falling apart!
Cons: The pool was way too overcrowded. I think they sell membership to to the pool to the community making it unusable to the hotel guests. There were so many people you could hardly move in it and the water was so cloudy I couldnt even see my feet. Will never go back to this hotel.
Pros: Everything. Love love love. Looking right now to go back. :)
Cons: More food options. That's all

Select accommodations include patios or balconies, separate showers and bathtubs, and fireplaces. Rooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs and high-speed Internet access. Pros: My sister recommended this hotel and we were pleased. Room was great; the bathroom is probably one of the bigger one I've seen (you can get out from the shower without almost touching the toilet). Having a functional kitchen is a plus. Continental breakfast is offered which is nice, so I don't have to make an extra stop to feed the kids in the morning. Staff we dealt with are nice and courteous. Our destination is LEGOLAND which is very close by. It is also close by stores like Costco and Target.
Cons: Breakfast hour is from 7 - 9, which works for business travel but for family vacation, the hours are too early and I feel rushed to get out of bed and downstairs to grab a bite. This may just be me, but there is no dimmer light in the bedroom side - there are only two very bright one on the nightstand, and you cannot turn on the bathroom light (where the counter is) without the light shining to the beds and disturb whoever is sleeping there. Walls are definitely thin, the room above us was probably doing DDR the whole time we were there and the room next to our bedroom was listening to music all night long. =\
Cons: Families with screaming kids at breakfast. Did not matter if it was 6am or 8am. Should have adult only seating area at breakfast.
Pros: Location, value, friendly staff
Cons: Automatic lights that can't be turned off. Woke me and my kids up repeatedly. Called down to the front desk and they said they could send an engineer up, but my kids were already asleep in the living room. Other than this, great hotel.

Pros: The location across the street from the beach, near Carlsbad Village, and Legoland was great. Nice size rooms. The Rec room, in-room DVD players, and DVD library are great for families. Free parking, wifi, and breakfast.
Cons: Tub and shower tile a little dated. The beds and bedding were not as comfortable as other hotels.
Cons: The property overall is quite noisy from the inside guest traffic not outside street traffic. Whenever closeby guests move around, take showers or walk outside the rooms, we heard pretty much everything. It seems the property us quite old and does not have guest noise cancellation of any form.
Pros: Location. Large rooms. Nice amenities.
Cons: Cockroaches in bathrooms by pool area. Should provide easier access to beach towels.
Pros: Can't beat the location.
At Tamarack Beach Resort Hotel, you can spend time at the beach practicing yoga, plus you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Legoland California and Carlsbad Premium Outlets. The outdoor pool provides fun for everyone, while guests in the mood for pampering can indulge in spa services. Dinis by the Sea Bistro is open for lunch and dinner and offers ocean views. A rooftop terrace and a free kid's club are other highlights, and rooms offer conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: Parking was hard late at night. Lower parking lot was a little scary. Soda/water machine were out and you had to go to the front office for drinks. Wish there had been room for 2 Queen beds.
Pros: Location in Del Mar is fantastic
Cons: No, everything was fine
Pros: Good bed, quiet room, excellent location.
Cons: Ants. Ants IN THE BED, ants on the floor, ants the bed stand, ants in the bathroom. Call an exterminator and I'll give it 8 out of 10.
Pros: It is a very easy location for exploring San Diego since it is near the 5. There are views of the ocean and a 5 block walk to beaches and downtown Del Mar. The actual neighborhood has a bit of construction. Rooms have been partially updated (bathrooms).
Cons: bedding was a bit older. Parking lot wasn't well organized.
Pros: The location is very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, had a refrigerator in the room and a coffee maker which was great. Nice comfortable room. We enjoyed our stay.
Cons: I would recommend upgrading the bedding. The carpeting also looked worn.
Pros: Hotel room appeared to be recently remodeled and was spacious.
Cons: On the map the hotel appears to be only a couple of blocks from the beach put the closest beach access is at least a half mile away.
Pros: The location was wonderful and rooms were clean and inviting.
Cons: Pool supposed to close at 9pm but at 10:15 there were still people in the Jacuzzi and being loud. I turned on the 'loud' A/C which drowned them out. A lot of yelling in the halls at night on the last night of our stay. The first night was super quiet.
Pros: Nice location, good deals at the cafe. The beach was kid friendly .
Cons: A bit of a walk to the beach, but there's lots to see along the way.
Pros: Very quiet; an excellent room with a walk out to the pool and bistro through the sliding glass door. So convenient and so old school quaint, that I will have to go back. Not a 4 star, but a very nice place to stay in the middle of Del Mar with a quiet
Cons: I missed all the little kids running around.... NOT!!! Nothing about this hotel that I did not like.

Pros: Good location and we heard they have very nice rooms with suites. All of my friends had the same reservation wevended up with a studio they all had extra suites not sure how that happened .
Cons: They stop serving coffee in the lobby at 10 and check out time is 11. I was trying to keep them from having to wash any coffee pots in the room but when I came out there was no coffee after I checked out. Would have bed. Nice!
Winners Circle Resort features a nightclub and puts you within a 15-minute drive of University of California-San Diego and Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Pros: The location was very nice and the hotel was ok. the staff was good. The breakfast was good
Cons: Saturday night was terrible. Other guests were loud and obnoxious from 2200 to 0300 hrs. We called down to the office 2 times and other guests hollered down to the party in the courtyard to go somewhere else but the party continued. We got not refund
Pros: I really liked everything about this hotel. Location, cleanliness and size of the room. The amenities and the proximity to restaurants and the beach.
Cons: I dont have any complaints at all about this hotel.
Pros: Evferything was fine except for the desk clerk.
Cons: The desk clerk was rude and did not help me getting my return ticket' I had to go to the other hotel for help.

Cons: Very late check in although early check in requested; parking is expensive; room is very old
Pros: The location was awesome
Cons: they had regular height chairs at the bar counter!
Pros: Close to everything down town
Cons: Our room was somewhat warm and not in the best location.
Pros: Centrally located in Carlsbad Vllg;short walking distance to village, beach, dining, nightlife.Accomodating&friendly staff. Also has timeshare amenities-cocktail hour,music,teas/coffee,offered to guests w/o charge. No pressure;nice place for the rate;older rms
Cons: The room was very nice, but having a street side rather than ocean/west view would have been better.Very noisy traffic&people for Sunday/Monday holiday weekend. But not unexpected.Welcoming atmosphere&snacks/wine for cocktail hour. Music, too!Coming back!
Pros: location to the beach and to restaurants and retail stores.
Pros: The location was perfect! The hotel was very nice! The housekeeping staff was awesome! We loved the circular couches outside overlooking the water! We enjoyed our time there!
Cons: The rooms were a bit noisy. We could hear the people above us and those walking down the hall. We had a maintenance issue and the tech was grumpy.
Cons: Check in staff was adequate.. unfortunately spring break was in full 'bloom' ready to go out for our 30th anniversary dinner, When a woman started screaming at the top of her lungs.. my husband was about to see what happened when the screaming stopped..
Pros: The beach
Cons: Service was terrible!
Pros: Room and bathroom were very nice
Cons: TV ...no channel one up card, channels change super slow, On screen guide weak, no VOD

Pros: Clean room, we'll lit, quite location. The housekeepers/laundry staff were working hard, definitely making the place clean.
Cons: Parking is horrible for anything larger than a compact car. Not the easiest place to park a full size chevy suv.
The beds....well at least they were clean. Comfort was non existing. I've had better sleep after a pot of coffee, but what was even worse than the bed was the response I received from the staff at the front desk when I brought it up. It was almost as if a requirement to work the front desk was to have a "I'm better than you" attitude. Very dry and callous demeanor.
Pros: Great customer service from beginning to end. We booked several rooms along with a conference room and the staff were all helpful to us. Complimentary breakfast was good and had variety. Bed was comfortable and amenities were plenty. Several fast food places right next door. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Jacuzzi was cloudy with a beautiful green fungus color.
Pros: Staff that checks us in and out were just dolls. Really sweet. Very receptive to my children. Rooms were extremely clean. Breakfast was great. Always replenished. Omelets cereal waffles fresh fruit potatoes toast muffins not from the supermarket. Cookies juices milk coffee hot chocolate chicjen sausage bagels lots of different spreads for the breads and waffles. Oatmeal cottage cheese. And it was a Monday! Weekdays at most hotels serve basic pastry utems cereal and toast. They save the restaurant style for weekends only. It was quiet on my 2nd floor. The small room they have filled with grocery items was convenient. They offer free newspapers a treasure box for kids to Rumsfeld through. A treat for the children. The eating area is very nice. Not a bunch of wooden tables. Nice cushioned seats. Exercise room was clean and well lit. Parking was easy to access.
Cons: Pool seems small pool area as well. 4pm check in. I usually go to hotels that are 1-3pm check in. Check out is noon. So, that's not giving me s full 24hr stay. A 20hr stay.

Cons: Very noisy because with multiple events with loud music.
Pros: Georgeous, tranquil spot that makes you feel like you are truly on vacation.
Cons: I wish the check-in time had been earlier and the check-out time had been later. There's not a whole lot you can take advantage of (pool, spa, gym, tennis, bike rides, bars, etc) between the hours of 4pm and 11am if you are only staying one night.
Pros: Very nice hotel in an ideal location. You can park your car and forget about it (or not bring one). The beach is across the street and the village (Old Del Mar) has everything you need for a long weekend stay.
Cons: The lobby and rooms are nice but the property overall feels like it could use a freshening - it's a bit dated. Small quibble though because this really is a terrific place to stay. I'll be back for sure.

Pros: Lots of things to do, quiet, great overall value.
Cons: Some maintenance upkeep items could have been beyter.
Pros: This is a BEAUTIFUL RESORT, the location is EXCELLENT and the view is AMAZING but...
Cons: We were walking around in the room barefoot and after 15 min we noticed the bottom of our feet were BLACK. The carpet in our room was disgustingly dirty!!! Then there was not hot water for our entire stay. I understand hot water was a mechanical issue but dirty carpet in the rooms in a lack of cleanliness.
Pros: Proximity to Legoland. Child friendly atmosphere. Pool was great for kids.
Cons: Housekeeping arriving after 5 pm.
Pros: very nice pool with kids pool. nice amenities. great location.
Cons: hotel needs updating. very squeaky floors with old carpet.
Pros: Location to Legoland
Cons: The room wasn't cleaned until the last day of our stay. There was construction going on. And, our room was dirty from the previous tenants. Not sure if the lack of attention was because we used Kayak, or if the Hotel is just that bad. I was surprised.
Pros: I loved the location. Walking distance from legoland, short drive to a variety of restaurants, and the Carlsbad outlet mall. Great family pool with splash pad and a onsite park. Rooms had a microwave and mini-fridge.
Cons: It was kind of pricey.
Pros: Close to Legoland. Karl Strauss on site. Pool options. Friendly staff.
Cons: Still under construction in the "hotel" area. Lots of areas closed off with yellow tape, plastic covering on floors, one kids water park fountain toy was out of service.

Cons: Food was awful, I would have expected better especially considering the simplicity of my order and the cost. I ordered a cheeseburger which was burned and the worst quality. The pizza I ordered tasted like cardboard.
When I was checking out I waited about 5 minutes for the front desk agent to come back, she came up from the hallway with a cup of coffee in hand and didn't even apologize for the wait.
Pros: Cape Rey was a lovely place to stay and I wouldn't mind coming back for a longer stay. Only had the chance to spend a beautiful weekend there, can't imagine how amazing it'd be in the summer. Staff was very helpful, approachable and kind.
Pros: I like the location
Cons: I was promised a ocean view I got a parking l

Cons: I thought the service was a little lacking. They were understaffed and weren't able to bring toiletry items to the room.
Pros: How quiet it was. It was peaceful.
Pros: Its location, comfortable bed, very clean and updated room with lots of wood. Felt more like a cottage experience (not size, of course) rather than a sterile hotel room.
Cons: The cost of the room. No breakfast included. They also were not able to provide an extra chair for my room.
Pros: Friendly bartender
Cons: Rooms were outdated, but fine. Shower ceiling had signs of mold.
Pros: We absolutely loved Del Mar. we stayed two nights at the Indigo. The location is great. Walking distance to shopping, food, and the beach. The room was very clean. The bed was ver comfortable. The hotel was quiet and in a very safe area.
Cons: The only thing remotely below what was expected would be the staff. They were not very friendly. Everyone else we met in town were great.
Pros: This city is one of the best on the west coast. The location of the hotel is great. It is close to shopping, food, and gas. The hotel was clean and located in a quiet area within walking distance to the beach.
Pros: Location and free parking
Pros: location. Staff
Cons: All was very good except the Air Conditioning unit was exceptionally loud. tough to sleep
Pros: Location and the quiteness of the hotel; great staff Enjoyed having a restaurant on the premises
Cons: I wished the king room we stayed in had a ceiling fan and we could of opened the windows for some fresh air (room 201) instead of running the air conditioner windows were sealed and could not open.
Pros: The staff were very friendly.
Cons: I was under the impression we could walk to the beach. It was advertised as being a block away. There was railroad crossing and cliff to the beach! Then told it was a 15 minute walk to beach. Was 10 block drive! Room old/smelled. Breakfast $30 a day!
Pros: Room was spacious and clean
Cons: Average rooms, loud, difficult to navigate, awful onsite restaurant.

Pros: Great courtyard area for gathering after a great day. The staff! Starbucks steps away for a morning wake up call.
Pros: We lived the location and the room and the staff was accommodating. Modern design was open and fresh.
Cons: Bed was very firm, as were all pillows.
Rowdy guests were very loud into the early morning and ruined our short stay at the pool area.
Pros: Location about a 10min walk from the beach and 15-20min walk from the train. Nice facilities though on site Starbucks is very expensive (greater than airport prices).
Cons: Evening staff not very knowledgeable/communicative about area in terms of transport, restaurants, beach access. Better in the morning.
Pros: Proximity to where I needed to be.
Cons: Useless restaurant, construction in process, faux wooden floor in room (no carpet), expensive and dangerous parking.
Pros: Justin helped us when we checked in and was nice and helpful. That was all I like about it. I have stayed in other Courtyards and I was surprised by how it lacked so much compared to the other Courtyards.
Cons: The "bistro" is a small fast food type place and their idea of Starbucks is about 5 coffee drinks they make. Their hot tub sits about 4 adults and 1 fire pit.
The rooms have no thermostats to control heat/cool, so I was getting up all night trying to get the room warm. The toilet kept making a noise when flushed and when I told them about it, they didn't even apologized. For the amount I paid, I expected it to be like the other Courtyards I have stayed at. I would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn down the street, alot nicer and cheaper.

Pros: The location and proximity to La Jolla and Del Mar and the ocean and stunning views and access to 5 highway
Cons: Unlike most other Residents Inn we had to repeatedly ask about coffee and when we asked about the multiple holds on our credit card for "incidentals " we were told it was a system function and they couldn't exactly explain it The pool is so small as to be useless
