The evening buffet was great with lots of variety, it makes the price Worth it...
The hotel is quite old and could need some new carpets...
Bus no B dropped us right next to the hotel from the station. Staff helped us to catch the bus for the cruise and sorted out the heating in our rooms.
Everything. It was not a 3 star hotel. How you gave it that rating is very puzzling. The decor was terrible. The door handles and the metal safe were rusty. The bathroom had no shower, bathtub or toiletries. The towels were v thin. Not the big fluffy ones in usual 3 star properties. The bathroom had linoleum which was old and faded. The carpet in the bedroom was worn and dirty. The slippers were not fresh. They were for use by all visitors. There was only one pillow and the duvet had a eiderdown stitched onto it and could not be removed. Breakfast and dinner were in a big hall. Tables were in a long line and we found single tables only at the end of the hall. It was noisy with so many people. There was no bread at breakfast time only buns. The buffet had a lot of Japanese dishes but no English translation. We would never have chosen this place as the cost was same as the wonderful hotel we stayed in Tokyo ( not through you) and the facilities very poor.
Furnitures are old and does not seem very clean. The location is not good. With certain distance from a bus stop and very far from train station, which is not comfortable for those who travel with big suitcases and take public transportation.
This hotel is a Ryokan (Inn). Location is farther away from the train station. You definitely need to take a bus or a taxi to reach the hotel. It is a bit expensive. Recommend Hotels closer to the station as it would allow you to access tour buses and other modes of transport for sight seeing
Staff could not speak even a little bit of English. Ended up using google translator on my phone to communicate.
Meals and room are a lot better than expected.
Location. Hotel is far away from train station and located mid hill. Must take shuttle which is inconvenient but all is reflected in the price. Very happy with the stay.
