The room was amazing, huge and comfortable. Fridge, microwave, sink, ice, sofas, two tvs... what else could you ask for? complimentary breakfast. The only negative was 10 to use the internet in the room? But we love it so much that we joined the Hilton rewards program and will return. Clean but there were some spots on the sofa under the throw pillows that might have been overlooked.
We stayed one night after a day on the beach. Two adults one child. We needed a place close to Hampton University because we were picking up our son from summer college. There was a family reunion going on at the hotel. Initially we were given a room right next to the family's hospitality room. As we arrived at our room people were hanging out, talking and laughing. Hey..that is what family reunions are about..but we decided to ask for a room as far away from the participants as possible. We were given another room without any problem and the hotel staff was very gracious about it. We wanted to relax and knowing a little about family reunions it can get noisy at night. We just missed the manager's reception..we were able to get a drink. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding. Our toilet in the bathroom overflowed. At the time I thought it took a while (probably because I was the one waiting to take a shower) but in hindsight it was a relatively short time between waiting for the maintenance person and housekeeping to disinfect the bathroom before I could get in there. We are in general big fans of Embassy Suites hotels. Our only complaint was the banning of children in the pool after 9. I totally get it during the week when there are a lot of business travelers but at the weekend..I think that rule should be relaxed..at least during the summer months.
The room was great, the free breakfast was great, the price was a little inflated. The worst part of the room was that one had to pay a 10 dollar charge to use the internet.
We reserved two rooms for a conference over the weekend and every single staff member that we encountered were very friendly! Due the the nature of the conference next to the hotel, there were a lot of rowdy teens young adults in the hotel but the staff remained very very patient and calm, cool and collected! The hotel is beautiful and we were all pleased with our rooms. Althought it was noisy on the first floor, you could not hear the noise while you are in your room. The free breakfast was good as well. The only con is that I had to go to 3 different floors to find a working vending machine late at night because my 2 year old wanted some water. Other than that, it's a great place to stay!
Amenities were wonderful. Free breakfast & Happy Hour snacks and drinks (including alcohol)! The staff was very courteous. Super nice woman in the gift shop serving Starbucks on our way out. She made my morning! My only complaint was that we asked for a pack and play and it was dirty and stained with urine.
The hotel was beautiful! Our teenage boys thought it was super. The lobby was huge and impressive. The staff was VERY helpful. I needed help with one of the hotel computers and the manager came to help me. I had only one complaint and it was probably my fault in not understanding. When it said a 2 room suite with 2 beds, I though it meant 2 bedrooms when there was only 1 bedroom with 2 beds. Since their were 5 of us, this caused a slight problem. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The breakfast area was more like a restaurant with staff there to clean up our dirty dishes. I can not say enough good things about this hotel. We have stayed in many hotes over the years and this hotel was outstanding! We will plan on staying here again in the future.
The Embassy Suites was a great location to hold our first family reunion. The staff was great and the service was excellent. I will stay there again and again!
This was a wonderful experience. My family thoroughly enjoyed their vacation in every aspect.
I enjoyed my stay. There was alot to do in this area shopping eating, etc. not to mention the food at the hotel was great as well. The staff made you feel welcome. This hotel was very clean and I would visit again.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside. For such a bargain, I was not expecting the indoor waterfalls, the bubbling pools, the lush plants and otherwise gorgeous lobby, lounge and bar area that are lit in the daytime by an enormous skylight all the way at the top of the building. The glass elevator on the way up to our room gave us another impressive view of the center of the hotel. The room itself was fabulous and had more space than we needed. We loved the amenities, as well, and the convenience to the Convention Center. When we needed something, the hotel staff was ready, willing and able to help us out, whether it was with directions or getting something we needed. Wonderful place!
Tonight is the last of our 3 day stay. We had a clogged toilet that took 2 maintenance men to fix over a 2 hour period. If they gave me a plunger I could have done it in 10 minutes. Took almost an hour to get bath towels that weren't replaced. BREAKFAST during the week ends at 9 AM. Much to early to get up on vacation. Location is great, rooms and hotel are really nice and people are friendly. Pool is a nice size and there is an adult swim after8 or 9 PM. Hopefuly my problems are an aberration. I do like Embassy suite's ambiance.
