Pros: We would really recommend a stay in the Blue Jay Lodge. The rooms are absolutely fabulous: roomy, comfy, clean and cozy! The hosts are wonderful and always have nice suggestions for activities to undertake. You can choose what you'll have for breakfast and it will be cooked on the spot. A lot of choice too! Finally, the location is great! Just a short drive from Kruger Park, Induna adventures and the panoramic tour.

Pros: It was lovely, very cozy and romantic.
Cons: It’s a bit difficult to find at first because it’s a bit hidden between all the trees and bushes. But GoogleMaps guides you there very well. Don’t hesitate, just follow the map :)

Pros: Phil and Margi are wonderful hosts, and the lodge is even more beautiful than the photos on the website. We enjoyed everything (even the sound of frog at night is very pleasant!). We would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Hazyview and Kruger (the Phabeni gate is only about 15 min away by car so the location of the lodge can't be better).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Phil and Margi were so hospitable that we felt instantly at home. The rooms were splendid and the freshly cooked breakfasts delicious. In our conversations with Phil and Margi we learnt a lot about life in Hazyview and South Africa. Phil was particularly helpful in providing detailed directions to BJ Lodge, restaurants and places on interest. BJ Lodge was a very quiet location surrounded by a beautiful garden with wonderful bird life. We would love to return one day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the jacuzzi!!! It gives a real romantic setting. I love the fact that there's no tv so one is forced to interact with each other and enjoy each other's time. Originally we were gonna go eat out at the nearby restuarants, but when we saw how romantic and cosy the room was we decided to stay in and spend the night in the jacuzzi. It has a cute little braai area which we made use of. Penny was really amazing and she even threw in a complimentary bottle of JC le Roux champagne because it was our 11th wedding anniversary. The breakfast was amazing!! We felt like royals, could see that it was made with that special ingredient called love. The fruit was fresh and tasted amazing. The french loaf toast with pesto salami and special cheese was delicious!!! Originally I thought the fruit was our breakfast but then I was pleasantly surpriced when my husband said the lady said she's coming back with more. I will definitely recommend this place to others and I think the value for money is exceptional. Thank you Penny for this little piece of paradise.
Cons: I really couldn't find anything to fault

Pros: Hot bath on the veranda. Healthy breakfast. If you are romantic it could probably be a nice stay.
Cons: The fridge is right in front of the bed. It is super noisy at night! The cottage doesn't feel like wild Africa. The breakfast is served in plastic foil!? Doesn't the world suffer enough from human waste?
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Very friendly host and staff Very fresh bedlinnen Very nice to be back after 19 years, now with children Fantastic garden

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place oozed charm. The location is fab, just minutes from Hazyview but in a world apart. Once through the gates you pass a hippo hide on the way to the house itself which is set in lovely gardens overlooking a pool. The rooms are gorgeous, kinda old-colonial style, wuth huge comfy bed good, free wifi, large bathroom, doors out to patio ceiling fan, tv, coffee.. Lacks for nothing. The food is fab, as is the attention to detail, proper linen napkins, beautiful artefacts candles in the room... I could go on. The whole place is a haven of stylish comfort, but what makes it sooo special is the genuine warm welcome from John and Heather. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Only thing to note, is this is a place for animal lovers...crocs and hippos in the river and two sweet resident little dogs, plus a rather regal cat.
Cons: This place could not be bettered.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful location just on the outskirts of Hazyview, nestled within a lemon tree farm. The accommodations are huge and Heather and John are excellent and obliging knowledgeable hosts. Far from the main road it offers a tranquil location to just sit and relax if you want with a small diverse library and soft unobtrusive music playing in the background in the shared lounge should you wish or to stay in your room or on its balcony viewing the well developed and well maintained garden and pool.

Pros: What a wonderful place! Recommended by all of us in the family. Beautiful garden with excellent possibilities for “armchair birding”. Kids loved the pool and the friendly dogs. Owners and staff so welcoming and helpful. Clean and quiet with tasteful decorations. Bonus was the delicious dinner.
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Heather and John were excellent hosts. They were a fantastic source of information, were always unobtrusively available and run a well organised house. Breakfast and Dinner were truly excellent, we enjoyed our three nights enormously. The house and the rooms are individually and well furnished and very clean. The staff gave personal service at a high level. The grounds and the surroundings are so pleasant that one is tempted to enjoy the day in the hotel.
Cons: Nothing negative to say.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and staff
7.9 Good
Pros: Right at Sabie River. I noticed an elephant come to say hi to the diners one night, while during an afternoon, about 4 or 5 hippos gave us company at the resort. The food at the restaurant is good - though not wow. But for the lodge's rate, I was happy with their services and decent food variety. I had one sunset safari which was'nt driven by the lodge's friendly driver's/guides. I found the lodge's own organised morning safari's better, more personal and the drivers are patient, friendly and kind. During my 2 morning safari's we spotted many animals inlcuding lions, elephants, giraf's, hippos, rhinos, impalas of course, monkeys, baboons, hyena's, croc's a lizard and several birds. Blankets are provided for the early morning safaris. But then again during the night safari by SanParks, we spotted a big leopard. It was pitch dark but with a few strong beams, it was just magical ! Their vehicles or should I say open buses were occupied by 20-25 people which gave a much less personal vibe compared to Sabie River Bush Lodge's vehicles. On the first morning safari, it was just another young couple and myself in the vehicle. That is ofcourse awesome. The was a minor issue about my bill at the end, but this was quickly resolved and as such they waived some costs that I had to pay. That was such a nice gesture, I thought. Thank you Sabie River Bush Lodge. I would return in a heartbeat if I ever visit Kruger Park again which is very likely.
Cons: I can't find anything that I did not like.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lodge was very nice and accommodations comfortable. Hippos and game viewing so pleasant.
Cons: Noise from local haunt went on late in the night.

Cons: Nothing it was awesome

Cons:
6.3 Good
Pros: Hippos in the Sabie river and Elephants in the Kruger National park visable from the pool deck the bar and the small resturant very relaxing spot with wireless internet at no charge great!
Cons: the safari tent was not secure belongings had to be locked in the car or in the small kitchen assigned to our tent otherwise this is a great spot highly recommend it! arriving or leaving Kruger its perfect.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location overlooking Sabie River, close to Kruger Gate, nice restaurant infrastructure, beautiful porch, most attentive staff
Cons: some of rooms really small and dark (OK if you only spend the night....), being a vegetarian, don't expect culinary miracles.....
6.3 Good
Pros: Very pleasant very good as a base to relax after a day sight seeing. food good staff very helpful.
7.0 Good
Pros: I really like those huge canvas tents with verandas facing the Sabie river and the Kruger Park behind the fence. Very conveniently located close to the Paul Kruger gate.
Cons: The dinner meals were a little bit on the basic side. Hazyviews restaurants are not close enough for an alternative.
6.3 Good
Pros: the staff were truly very courteous and good customer care skills. the location on the banks of the SAbie River provide opportunities for surprising sighting - 4 big elephants paid a visit
Cons: nothing - but i do have a genuine complaint. and i believe it was not handled professionally

Pros: Garden with a swimming pool has a stunning view on the mountains and you can enjoy this view for hours. Lodge is situated 1km from the main road so is quite and peaceful. Also, it is very well located to all touristic places and nearby restaurants. Joe and Margrit are very nice and always give you a lot of advices where to go and what to see. Eveything was very clean and comfortable, rooms are big and fully equipped with all needed things. We would definitely stay at this place again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Margrit was very friendly and helped us from the moment we arrived till we left. The lodge oversees a farm with a great view. Guest rooms are clean and well equipped with everything you might need. They open directly to the garden where there are tables and chairs for relaxation. There is also a common area where breakfast is served in the morning and afternoon cake, it has a fireplace which they lit after dark that gives a homey and lovely atmosphere to the place. Margrit arranged for us a safari tour with an awesome guide (Trevor). She gave us good recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing around the area. We loved our stay at Abangane Guesthouse and would highly recommend it.
Cons: The road that connects the lodge to the main gate is one-way and not easy to drive using a small car.
9.6 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome upon arrival by the hosts, Joe & Margrit. Lovely view over a neighbouring macadamia farm, and very well-positioned for surrounding excursions, esp. Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route. We particularly enjoyed the personal touch through the home-made baked muffins and rusks at breakfast and we looked forward to afternoon tea with a different, delicious cake upon return after each day's activities.
Cons: No negatives really. A single double mattress, however, would have been preferred over two single mattresses put together.
6.7 Good

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were helpful and friendly. They acknowledged my birthday with a fruit platter in my room
Cons: The hotel is very disjointed and almost hard to find behind restaurants and shops. Reception is a stand alone building. Breakfast is in one of the restaurants in the Lifestyle Village. Breakfast food was good though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed in many places all around the works but none of them compares to Perrys Bride Hollow Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm welcome and friendly smiles. The lemonade and cake at check-in was much needed after an 18hr trip, it was a nice little touch. We were then taken on a personal tour of the grounds (no hotel has ever done this before) and was then shown to our beautiful room which the staff had decorated for our honeymoon. What makes this place special is the staff. Everyone who works at Perry’s Bridge Hotel, the managers, waiters, bar staff, cleaners and security- are the most friendliest people we have ever met. They really took care of us and made us feel so special. This is something we have never experienced at any other hotel before- Including 5* ones. A special mention to the managers, reception staff and bar staff at Kuka Cafe- we miss you all so much! Phasika, Phillip and Mildence made sure our glasses were never empty! We have told all of our family and friends just how special Perrys Bridge Hotel is, I’m sure you will get some visitors soon. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so special. We have made happy memories that will last a lifetime. We are looking forward to the day we can come back and see our friends at Perrys Bridge again. Love from, Gemma and Ben. England

Pros: A very helpful & flexible host . The GH is fully gated and feel secure. Quiet Location, not too far from mall/restaurants. The GH has a homely ambience, with a nice living area/dinning area looking into the garden/pool.
Cons: The tiled floor is cold in winter, and not too kind to bare feet. A small carpet or a pair of sandal would help the comfort of walking around in the room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Never seen anything like this. This is a little piece of heaven. A magical place everyone should go when visiting Kruger National Park. The staff is incredibly kind and the services the offer are the best.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The nature is really beautiful. The people are nice.
Cons: It's just too much money, the tent is nice but the airco made a lot of noise which they couldn't fix. It's very noisy also. There were stains in the towels and also in the napkins at breakfast. The pool is very very small. Would not expect all of this for 400 euro's a night. It's a nice place but not for the money you pay. Better go to hippo hollow estate which is really nice and you just pay 100 euro per night. With free hippo's to watch.

Pros: Beautiful gardens, riverbank, peacocks walking around, huge king size bed, rooms are lovely, the menu is wonderful and the food is so good, the prices are very good for excellent food. The staff are wonderful and all happy, nothing is too much trouble, best place to stay in Hazyview, and right next door to Elephant Whispers, a must do.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed a hearty breakfast sitting on the patio overlooking the river, as the kingfishers were catching theirs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything except the tv
Cons: The box tv in our room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful, well managed and maintained venue. Unexpected elephant and hippo visits and sightings in and across the river from the outside eating area was a fantastic bonus. Great location close to a selection of restaurants and the mall, but without the noise pollution that goes with it. Good place to stay if you want to visit the Kruger, but not stay in the park.
Cons: The African Shangaan dancing and food evening was dissapointing. The dancing was entertaining, but the food was very average with a good selection, but individual dishes were poorly executed. Even more so, as the in-house dining at the restaurant was really fantastic. Twin beds in the chalets. An option of a double bed would have been nice.
4.2 Okay

Cons: The rooms
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, proper mattress & facilities
Cons: Garden rooms - bit noisy when people come on go, some guests load, drinking in their rooms

Pros: Honesty bar was a great feature, well-stocked and fairly priced. Breakfast on the balcony was delicious with fresh fruit, cheeses, muffins, bread, and made to order eggs and meats. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, even with an extra bed.
Cons: It was a little confusing when we arrived at the property because it was gated and we didn't see a call button. After waiting a few minutes, someone noticed our arrival and opened the gate but it would have been helpful to know this information in advance, just to know what to expect.

Pros: Carol, the host, was very lovely and so accommodating. We have a little 3 month old baby and they were kind enough to supply a camping cot for the baby in the room without us even asking. And also a microwave and kettle so we could sterilize bottles. This was done without a fuss and was so kind of them. The bed was super comfy and everything lovely and clean. The shower was amazing! And the breakfast was a really good spread and variety of anything and everything and was delicious and very filling, a great start for the day. Location is close to all shops and also to the Phabeni gate for Kruger. All in all, it was a really amazing stay. We'll definitely be back!

Cons: That u can't cancel or reschedule date
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice big, rooms, nice garden, pleasant view from the balcony.
Cons: breakfast should be cheaper (5-7 EUR max). No internet inside rooms. Internet at the balcony - maybe it was temporary problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location suited us very well, we found Tracey very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, just the bacon and sausage were a bit dry, probably kept warm too long, but overall a very good experience
7.9 Good
Pros: Our room was very comfortable and quite spacious. It had everything we needed.
Cons: Access to the property by car was steep and rough along the back entrance that we had to use, and the parking area is very tight. You'll need good reversing skills. No fault of the property, but Hazyview is a very spread out town, so the guesthouse, although quite 'central' isn't really very close to food/shops, although I think the locals consider a 3 km drive along windy roads to be close. Having said that, you'll find most if not all of Hazyview's accommodations are similarly located, or worse in that regard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great starting point for safaris. Great breakfast or to go package If you go on a morning Safari. The restaurants are only a few minutes away by car (super steak restaurant!) Tracey, the hostess, made our stay perfect. She is so open, helpful and uncomplicated. On the day of our arrival we decided to book a safari. She recommended elephant Herd Tours (was great) and supported us with the booking. Since our luggage got lost on the flight, it was brought to woodlands. Also here Tracey was ready to accept it in case we are not around. She just made the stay perfect, thanks again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place it self it's very lovely, the manager is a very lovely person, rooms are very clean and comfortable, I have fear for dogs and cats and she understood and made sure she keeps them away.
