the staff were truly very courteous and good customer care skills. the location on the banks of the SAbie River provide opportunities for surprising sighting - 4 big elephants paid a visit nothing - but i do have a genuine complaint. and i believe it was not handled professionally
Location overlooking Sabie River, close to Kruger Gate, nice restaurant infrastructure, beautiful porch, most attentive staff some of rooms really small and dark (OK if you only spend the night....), being a vegetarian, don't expect culinary miracles.....
Very pleasant very good as a base to relax after a day sight seeing. food good staff very helpful.
I really like those huge canvas tents with verandas facing the Sabie river and the Kruger Park behind the fence. Very conveniently located close to the Paul Kruger gate. The dinner meals were a little bit on the basic side. Hazyviews restaurants are not close enough for an alternative.
Hippos in the Sabie river and Elephants in the Kruger National park visable from the pool deck the bar and the small resturant very relaxing spot with wireless internet at no charge great! the safari tent was not secure belongings had to be locked in the car or in the small kitchen assigned to our tent otherwise this is a great spot highly recommend it! arriving or leaving Kruger its perfect.
Dinner was excellent. The staff was always friendly.
This is a perfect place for travellers to Mpumalanga region and Kruger Park, it´s about 20 kilometres away from Phabene Gate in the Kruger Park. It is very easy to find and there is a really good familiar environment and attention! the breakfast is included and prepared at the moment for you and the prices are very competitive, the rooms are really big and the lodge is in the middle of a jungle-like place! the only noise you can hear are the birds in the morning, a really relaxing experience! Apart from that, they offer a wide range of rooms, spacious and prepared for families, we stayed there 4 adults and it was a great experience, it was like living in a cottage in the middle of the jungle, but also convenient to the main villages&shops!
We loved the room, so cozy and clean. The grounds were lovely. The dinner we had was one of our most memorable meals of our trip in South Africa. We we wish were staying more than one night to fully enjoy it.
This is an incredible beautiful place in the middle of nature. Once you are there you don't want to leave. Your hosts take care of everything, you can do day excursions (including Kruger Park) or just relax. Magnificent place.
Owner very friendly. Good evening meal (last minute order and still very good). Clean accommodation. No electricity for breakfast (no toaster machine). Accomodation without TV.
The lodge is perfectly situated in an idyllic and quiet surrounding. The cottages offer a wonderful ambience to relax and enjoy the nature around the lodge. The warm welcoming and exceptional friendliness of the owner, owners family and staff made this one of our most enjoyable stays in South Africa.
Like the vintage feel to the lodge. nice and quiet. tranquility is in order.
The hospitality of Margi and Phil was fantastic. The room was large and very comfortable and being only 10km away from one of the gates into Kruger Park made it an ideal base to explore the southern section of the park.
We stayed only two nights at the Blue Jay and wished that we had had the time to stay for longer. Philip and Margi are excellent hosts and were able to help with good information about the surrounding area and Mpumalanga. We definitely want to return to Blue Jay.
hospitality from the Staff
Phil and Margie, they are very kind and polite persons. Good break fast and very nice location and room.
A beautiful countryside lodge, with a lot of trees. Very quiet. The rooms are very big, cleen and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpfull.
It felt comfortable, it felt like home. It was extremely clean and spacious with everything we needed. It was trully relaxing, peaceful and tranquil.
Very warm welcome and friendliness from all at the lodge. Beautifully appointed rooms. made to feel very much at home. Would thoroughly recommend. No complaints at all.
The hotel owner was extremely hospitable and offered a wide local knowledge of the available game drive / safari options within the immediate area. Our room was exceptionally well presented with an obvious eye for fine detail.
the place is nice and quite and the area around is ideal for holiday the dogs
Very nice guesthouse. The personal was very friendly and gave us a lot of helpful information concerning tours. The room was very nice and the breakfast was delicious. Nice place to stay and very good location for Blyde River Canyon and Krüger National Park.
We enjoyed the open welcome and the engaging conversation with the people who run the place. We where very pleased with the design of the rooms. We would suggest to lower the roof of the breakfast room. It makes the place even more cozy ( friendlier)
Comfortable, modern room. Excellent welcome and breakfast.
Tina and Neil are lovely, friendly hosts; the guesthouse was beautifully decorated and comfortable; a bonus to have airconditioning in the room as it was really hot in Hazyview; definitely will be visiting again :-)
The couple in charge were friendly and amenable to any request. They were helpful in regard to places for dinner at night. No luxury, this - but very comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast adequate.
The relaxed and pleasant atmosphere presented to us by Neil and Tina for the whom duration of our stay. none come to mind.
perfetct place, wonderful host, delicious breakfast
every thing, the host were wonderfull and friendly staf,an a huge breakfast every morning it was to short
Very warm welcome. Excellent Rooms. Excellent food. Would recommend highly to anyone.
Beautiful setting, very comfortable lodging, excellent breakfast, very hospitable staff, and quite peaceful. The entrance road was not the easiest to navigate with a small/low to the ground car.
Abangane is great hospitality defined.
We enjoyed our stay at Abangane very much. friendly staff, nice and very clean rooms, great view.
The host were extremely welcoming and accomodative to our individual needs.I liked that they were friendly but were able to give us space. The food was extremely delicious, especially the dessert. The choice of music was fitting and appropriate for both in the morning and evenings. No
The attention to detail, the quality of the rooms, furnishings and fittings, Klaus's cooking, the location, the friendly ambience No
The resort is magnificent and the staff very helpful and friendly. Price is very reasonable.
Convenient The staff were too busy worrying about their evening event to bother with the guests. I was chased 5 times for details of my credit card. I had stayed there twice before but it made no difference. The credit card confirmation form they sent atteched to an e-mail would not open I replied but still got 2 phone calls
The Hotel was a place were we could relax with no noise. No, for a four star hotel everything was ok.
The room was very spacious and beautiful. Loved the attached private garden. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the menu was delicious. The lighting in the lounge area was poor and not conducive to reading. We had to get some extra light bulbs and I had even requested an extra lamp. Good lighting would have been nice but not a deal-breaker.
Welcome at the gate and reception. Friendly staff. Lay out and atmosphere - out of this world, very accommodating Nothing at all - loved every minute will be back for sure. My companion's been going for many years and is still impressed
