Pros: Everything was incredible! Dinner magnificent! Room beautiful. Grounds were historic, with many trails leading to ocean.
Pros: The Hotel Budir is located off the main road around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula amid an elf filled lava field, with views of a beautiful beach, a historic black church, and the mountains. As wonderful as the location is, the service and food are even better! We were treated as if we were the only guests, even though the hotel was full, with total attention of the staff at all times. The hotel has its own well stocked bar and several lounges, a gourmet dining room, and a menu to make anyone happy. Try the langoustine appetizer and the Blue Ling Fish entree. When we come back to Iceland, we will stay there again! PS check out the shop behind the hotel as well...
Pros: Incredible location, beautiful and comfortable hotel. The service was first rate.

Pros: 10 is the only nomber for that location and that hotel..... We are so happy that in the last day of our honeymoon we stay there.. amazing view , amazing people at reception, amazing location ,amazing breakfast. Thank you for hosting....
Pros: Excellent location next to the national park.
Pros: Great room with very nice bathroom. Rooms with view of ocean! Nice restaurant and plentiful breakfast buffet
Pros: The breakfast hood
Cons: good service and value for money
Pros: Location. Watched aurora. Hotel staff very helpful.
Cons: There was a party at the facility which was extremely noisy until 1-2am. Didn’t sleep well because of the noise.
Pros: From the outside (especially if you arrive in the dark), the place does not look very impressive, but as soon as you walk into the lobby, you are reassured. It is modern and clean and has a warm atmosphere. The location is awesome - we went for a long walk along the coast the morning after we stayed.
Cons: The room was very small. There was not even enough room to have a bedside table on each side of the bed.
Pros: Excellent location for hiking the cliffs, Lava Cave, and the National Park. Staff was great, friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was one of the best of the 10 day trip. We were upgraded to Sea view and nice room. Lots of free parking. We did another place for dinner but I'm sure it was great.......the dessert with wine was super in the Bar!
Pros: The waitress were really really friendly, specially Karolina. Gold mention to her that transformed our dinner in a perfect night. Also in the breakfast I need some gluten free bread and other waitress provide it to me fast and perfectly warm. Astonishing service!
Cons: At the beginning we had some issues with our room but were fixed fast and kindly. We had other issues in the check out and they wanted us to pay 2 times the breakfast but that was also fixed. The menu cart is not extensive but really good quality.
Pros: Location and great breakfast
Cons: Noisy rooms
Pros: Clean, comfortable, upscale, free awesome coffee in the morning, onsite restaurant with a good menu for dinner and breakfast, easy access to a major road and a nearby small town with good restaurant options.
Pros: I loved the location of this property which overlooked the ocean with amazing views. It also felt very remote, which I loved. It was cozy and beautiful. I would love to go back and stay longer just to enjoy relaxing at the hotel.
With a stay at Guesthouse Langaholt in Stadarstadur, you'll be next to a golf course, and 16.9 mi (27.1 km) from Rauðfeldsgjá and 22.5 mi (36.2 km) from Snaefellsjoekull National Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We chose this Hotel because of its location as it fitted our self drive itinerary really well. It is fairly newly built and was modern and comfortable and after driving and hiking all day we found it warm and comfortable with nice large rooms and a hot shower, and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the simple restaurant and slept well.
Cons: The staff were nice and efficient, but not very welcoming, perhaps they were very busy the night we were there.
Pros: The house is beautifully located close to a beach - don't miss a short walk there! The rooms are basic but comfortable. The food is excellent. I was not disappointed by the famous fish soup. The highlight is their breakfast with freshly made products. Totally worth it!
Cons: Water pressure in our room was very low.
Pros: The hotel is in a good location with a beach just a short walking distance away. The staff, especially the gentleman we called “Thor” because we didn’t get his full name, were super friendly and helpful and made our stay there extra special. The best bread we had in all of Iceland as they make their bread every morning. Great food, great service, and a family oriented environment. Out of the 6 hotels that we stayed at during our vacation in Iceland, this was our favorite and it was the staff that made the difference.
Cons: The shower in our room did not have a curtain but they did provide a large squeegee. We did see that other rooms have more updated bathrooms that may have been more convenient but we were fine with what we had.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, Very good restaurant, Good breakfast, liked the location - near the beach and a farm style.
Cons: a bit pricey
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The place was impeccably clean. The food was absolutely scrumptious.
Pros: Food was great. Accommodation was great. Views were great.
Pros: Nice hotel, great view of the sunset.
Cons: We had a reservation of 3 rooms for 2 nights. All rooms were old and moldy, windows didn‘t close correctly. After reclamation we got asap the suite. So, incredible bad cost benefit ratio. Take care during booking there is a newer complex with better rooms....
Pros: Location was great. Away from the lights. Close to Snaefellness Park that we wanted to visit. Breakfast being included. Evening meal, Fish Stew was very good.
Cons: Not a fan of the open shower and squegee system. Didn't seem to matter how much we tried, but floor was wet at sink.
Pros: Great location. Food was amazing and staff very friendly. Will stay again when we come back

Pros: Snuggled next to the mountain ridge that runs the length of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, the Kast Guesthouse is a quiet comfortable place to spend the night or to use as your base for exploring this part of Iceland. The rooms are new and clean, the water is hot, and the restaurant on the property serves tasty food and decent prices. The folks working at the guesthouse are excellent sources of information about the area and can offer tips on hidden sights, photography, and places to stop for a bite while you're off on your adventure.
Pros: Aurora borealis were great due to a good day for this
Cons: Expensive services. Food is expensive too, we asked for a discount because not eating meat, so technically potatoes and brocolis with no more quantity as the actual proposed meal, we received a 200 kr discount on 4200kr.
Pros: Great bread. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Highly recommend the Kast guesthouse. snaefellsnes Is my favorite area in Iceland. There are so many things to visit and the location of the Guest house is perfect
Pros: The breakfast supplied was very good and the coffee excellent, the location was really good with amazing views and also a good base for getting out into the surrounding area.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was the sound proofing between rooms wasn't great and there were no coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Pros: Comfortable and clean. Great spot to see Northern Lights. Beautiful setting. Limited choices for food in area, but restaurant's 3 main entrée choices were enough for us and delicious.
Pros: The breakfast is very good.
Cons: The furniture stared to wear out.
Pros: A country retreat. A great base for driving the peninsula
Pros: Good food good breakfast
Cons: The seats were uncomfortable
Pros: The staff was amazing- very attentive and friendly. The room was very functional, and the public building and restaurant is very warm and welcoming. The dinner was fantastic.
Cons: The rooms are basically a static caravans attached together facing the parking lot- it felt little bit imprivate, but its a subjective feeling. It was very windy night, so we could hear the wind below the entrance door. The bath soap dispenser was empty.
Pros: Great location and very delicious food in hotel restaurant. The staff was very pleasent and helpfull.
