Pros. The location was simply amazing. Salamanca at its best . The breakfast was fabulous. The old sandstone walls were so historical. The staff were helpful. Loved it. A fabulous stop-over
Cons. Pillows and mattress not so comfortable. Too much light came in from outside and a little noisy, but worth it for a stay in this amazing hotel.extra Blanket was a little dusty , but replaced immediately by staff.
Pros. Can't go wrong with the location. Right near the Salamanca Market, the MONA ferry, restaurants, bars, even the MOFO Festival (which I wasn't in town to attend)...
Cons. The room I stayed in (Room 1) was DIRECTLY over the bar and overlooked the sidewalk where bar patrons hung out all night. I am NOT a light sleeper, but this was a tough couple of nights even for me. The bar sing-a-longs were frequent and boisterous and the live music was quite loud. The room itself was barely a step up from a hostel--not that I've ever stayed in one, but everything (furniture, bed coverings, carpets, etc.) was shabby and seemingly second-hand. I didn't do much researcher for alternatives in Hobart because the Customs House seemed so
