Beautiful room with a great view

Old, dated, musty rooms. Laughable amenities. The hot tub is on display for the entire restaurant deck area. I felt really sorry for the couple trying to get out of it with dignity while everyone watched. I would never stay here again.
Location
room smelled, staff at front desk not pleasant
We liked the newness of the room, and the views were spectacular!
Hotel restaurant did not meet our expectations, food was small portions at a premium price!
Land’s End is a hotel that easily lives up to its name as it sits along the waterfront of Homer, Alaska. Southwest of Anchorage and across a bay from Kachemak Bay State Park it is at the end of the land in that part of the Kenai Peninsula. It is only six miles from the airport and ranks as a private world of its own. Travelers will come to explore the amazingly beautiful surroundings, where hiking, biking, fishing, and relaxation are the order of the day.
The hotel is a resort-style property and features a long list of luxurious amenities that include a modern fitness center, a HELO sauna with two tiers of seating and room for five at a time. For those who don’t want the shock of a swim in the bay nearby, there is an indoor heated pool with wood sundeck surround, and an outdoor hot tub large enough for six. Visitors can enjoy guided fishing, kayaking, bear viewing, eco-touring, helicopter rides, and glacier tours, horseback riding, whale watching, skiing, and more.
Amenities also include dining options, business services, a gift shop, 24-hour front desk, and events spaces. Dining is available in the Chart Room’s restaurant and lounge with seasonal specialties. Rooms are all beautifully decorated and include views of the bay, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, microwaves, beverage stations, large and private baths, private decks, direct-dial phones with voice mail, work desks and sitting areas.
The Land’s End is an unforgettable escape and a destination all on its own.
