The hotel was perfect for our family! We had a total of 5 people in our party (including two teenagers and one senior citizen). The staff (front desk, valet, and housekeeping) were always checking to make sure our needs were met and helpful if we asked for anything. They provided a shower chair for grandma and even had a suitcase scale for us to borrow to weigh our suitcases before we left! The views of the ocean and the mountains were magnificent. Our rooms, the hotel and hotel grounds were always clean. The beach was just across the street. Planning on staying here next time we come!!!
The hotel was a bit challenging to find, but that was mainly due to the plethora of one-way streets that make up Waikiki. Once we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff. Valet parking is required .....and is FREE! Something very unusual in Waikiki. The staff was helpful and accommodating, and made us feel welcome from the beginning. Our bags were unloaded and taken to the took for us, including out case of water and groceries! Our valet gave us a tour of the room, showed us how everything worked, and this was at 11:30 at night! The condo was beautiful! Lovely finishes (granite counters, Stainless steel appliances) huge balcony and stunning views! Requests for extra pillows and towels were met quickly (at 1 am), and always with s smile. We had 3 adults and 4 teenagers, and were very comfortable. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay any longer. This will definitely be where we stay from now on!
These condos were wonderful. Across the street from Waikiki. Wonderful ocean view from balcony. Only problem that I remember was that it was pretty noisy because of the location right in front of Waikiki beach which was always crowded with tourist. Otherwise a good location for getting around, close to beach shops and other amenities.
This hotel is an excellent choice particularly if you are planning an extended stay for more than two people. The rooms are all privately-owned condominiums and are very spacious. There will be some variability in the decor depending on when the owners last remodeled. You can check with the front desk to find out when the rooms were upgraded. We had a 2 BR/2 BA unit with full kitchen and in-room laundry (I believe they are all basically the same floorplan). This is particularly nice for families that want to have kids sleep in a separate room. Because there are no restaurants or bars on the property, this hotel is a very peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki beach. We visited a few other larger hotel-resort properties while on Waikiki and were so glad that were were not staying there because the crowds were terrible. There are plenty of restaurant and bar choices in the immediate vicinity of the Aston so you will not miss having them in your hotel lobby. Food is expensive in Hawaii so it was great having a full kitchen to make an occasional meal in the room. You can buy basic groceries at any one of the ABC stores in the area but the Pantry on Kuhio had the best variety. Having a washer and dryer in the room was awesome and we never worried about running out of wardrobe choices. The hotel provides free laundry soap each day. One other convenience is the layout of the hotel floors. If you've ever stayed at a large resort hotel, you can have a really long walk to your room when you get off the elevator. At the Aston there are only 4 units per floor so when you get off the elevator you are right there at the entrance to your room. Other than the comfort of the room, the best part of our experience was the friendly and professional staff. Service at this hotel is top notch. We were always greeted with smiles and 'Aloha' entering and leaving the hotel, even if we just left for a short time. The staff are really well trained in customer service and know h...
The staff was personal and courteous. We were given one free room upgrade. Great location will go back.
This hotel was perfect for a group getaway of five adults. One couple got the master suite, two friends in a room with two single beds, and a third bachelor received the pull out queen couch in the living room. We split the cost and had a wonderful time. The rooms were HUGE with a full kitchen and utensils and everything. Our lanai looked out over the ocean to bustling Waikiki beach, right near the Duke Kahanamoku statue. Parking was valet, and the guys were always so very nice. This was just a fantastic location, clean, a pool, everything you could possibly want. I will definitely stay here again when I go back.
Absolutely gorgeous condo! We stayed in a deluxe ocean front view with our seventeen year old daughter. The condo was spacious, very comfortable and incredibly quiet at night. Exceptional service and staff!! Had a BLAST!! Will definitely be returning!
This hotel/condo was the perfect fit for our familiy. It was very spacious for 6 people. We all had a fabulous time. The valet gentlemen were very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. We felt that they went the extra mile to serve us. The front desk was always accomodating, friendly, helpful, hospitable, and professional. The only draw back is that the room fan or AC was loud. We are not used to leaving the AC on at night, but we got used to it. The master bedroom bed was very firm The location was perfect for our teenage children to walk to shops or restaurants. We had the ocean partial view and it was fabulous. Grandmother enjoyed sitting on the deck each day to watch the surfers. The maid service was very friendly and efficient! Having the washer and dryer is very convenient. We would recommend this hotel/condo to anyone.
I research everything!! For one entire year I planned our Hawaiian vacation. I read all reviews, read as many books as I could find, and probably wore out my welcome with our travel agent with all the questions I had to ask. Where do we stay? So many choices! Is my information accurate? You all know the feeling... It was quite over-whelming for me to say the least! All substanciated info I found pointed to the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower. Were my sources correct? ABSOLUTELY! Actually, the info did not do this place justice. Totally renovated large family sized rooms with all the creature comforts of home. The view is up to you but to overlook the ocean is breathtaking! Huge balconies (er I mean lanei's) overlook the ocean and Waikiki Beach. The staff is superior with all the knowledge you need to make great decisons. If you need anything at all, ask once and it's there. The valet parkers (you know who you are) are all FANTASTIC. They know their stuff and often times will point you in the direction of great places to visit/eat on the island. They are an invaluable key to the success of this establishment. Fresh sheets on our beds daily, a treat on our pillows at night. We were very well taken care of ! You might think we spent a lot of money to stay here. Not at all!! Remember, I did my homework and I'm ....'cheap'. In closing the best advice I save for last. In a word....'GPS' Rent a car with it, or bring your own. Time here is precious. Don't waste it getting lost or becoming frustrated. You'll thank yourself for doing this. Pre-program address' before leaving home to save time! Happy Travels Everyone and......Aloha from Missouri
Great value for the money. There were two of us for a one week stay (7 nights), so we had a one bedroom ocean front suite. Huge lanai, great view of the ocean and beach across the street. Large living and dining area with well appointed furnishings. Full kitchen, with all the utensils one would need. We ate most meals in, which saves a lot of money in Honolulu. There is a supermarket just a few blocks from the condo, as well as several ABC stores within a block or two. The bedroom was large with access to the lanai also. More than ample closet, dresser and storage space. Very nice double sink bathroom. Washer and dryer in the unit was also a great convenience. There was a tv with dvd player in both the living room and the bedroom. There is also free internet access in each unit. Staff is remarkable, extremely friendly and helpful. Practically all tour buses stop right across the street. The International Market Place is just a couple of blocks away. The zoo and aquarium is a short walk away along the beachfront road. Beach towels and other eqipment are available on request and is complimentary. Be sure to bring binoculars to observe the different boats plying the ocean. The sunsets were gorgeous. We were there during the Chinese New Year, and the fireworks display viewed from our lanai were spectacular. Twice a day room cleaning and nightly turn down service was nice, but not always necessary, especially if we were in the room, but just leave the do not disturb sign on the door. If we were in a hurry and didn't have time to wash dishes, they would be done when we got back. Great Service. Highly recommend.
