Pros. The staff were friendly and helpful
Cons. The hotel room was grotty and in need of a deep clean and revamp.Bathroom was full of limescale and the sink didnt drain away. the ceilings were damp stained and you could here upstairs walking across the room. The sheets didn't fit the bed. you had the pay for the WIFI. The infomation about the spa was grotty faded and unappealing. The evening meal was disappointing (worst curry I've tried ever - chicken tasted dodgy so I didnt eat it) Bar guy was a really nice guy but desperately needed a shirt that fitted him. It all looked very tired - worn out carpets saggy sofas sticky tables.
Pros. The hotel seems very tired and needs uplifting. Smells of damp around conservatory entrance.
Cons. The staff at the reception were rude. The heating in our room broke and was on the whole night. extremely hot like a sauna. When I raised this with reception, the response from the lady was: 'This is what happens when you book the budget rooms'... Seriously???
Pros. Rooms were roomy, with a large bathroom, beds were comfortable, the gym and pool are really useful if you like that sort of thing. Staff very helpful and friendly
Cons. Limited breakfast menu, as best I can tell no full english was available or cereals a continental breakfast or bacon and sausage baps were about where it was at. Lunch and dinner menus were ok!
