Pros (+) The Houghton super 8 is always clean. And a wonderful value. It is withing walking distance to both the Michigan Tech campus and downtown Houghton. It is also right on the canal which is beautiful in the summer and fall, and right on the snowmobile trailer for the winter.
Cons (-) Since is right on the snowmobile trailer, we did have some noise at night. A bit frustrating, but it does not deter us from staying there again. Also, the free breakfast is very minimal. We were able to fine something to eat, but don't expect a full continental breakfast you get at other hotels (that are in a higher price range). We love the location.

Pros (+) Houghton is such a lovely town and the Super 8 location is perfect. We had a view of the river and Mont Ripley ski slopes and were just a short walk away from the downtown shops & restaurants. Loved it!
