There was no wine opener in my room.
Staff, decor, facility, location, cleanliness. Everything beautifully situated.
Room service and breakfast were not as expected. The room service menu was poor. I tried the chicken soup which was not good. I tried the Salmon and was over cocked. I tried the roasted chicken it was hard and dry. Shrimp cocktails was good and the burger was generally ok. In general, the food variety or taste did not convey Texas or International. It felt like hospital food. Suggest to redesign the menu. For breakfast, there was no buffet. At least basic menu should have provided and rest as alacart. In the morning for business travelers, no time to set and wait to be waited. Suggest a buffet to be considered.
The 2-sided tv wowed me, the water pressure, the wonderful views of the downtown skyline and the cheerful helpfulness of all the staff I encountered. I was exhausted, and the comfy bed and pillows meant I sleep soundly...
Spectacular hotel with friendly staff that belie the fact that the hotel is 5 star. Not a stuffy, stuck up hotel.
Nothing to not like. I would suggest that the hotel add more functionality to the lighting. There were so many lights on when one flicked the light switch, and I could not help thinking of how privileged I was, but was it necessary to burn so much electricity on lighting. Maybe this can be controlled better from the pad, but from the light switches, no.
Everything. This hotel is a masterpiece and perfect in every aspect. This will be my place in Houston whenever I visit.
