The hotel is half a block from the beach and has a great beachy feel to it.
Only problem was the hotel didn’t accept the reservation from Kayak. Went to check in and although I had a confirmation number and a confirmed date I was denied due to their policy of not accepting 3rd party reservations. I was able to rebook at check in through the hotel but at a different rate. Not sure if I’ll get a full refund from Kayak as it takes 10 business days. Funny thing was when I made my reservations they charged my credit card immediately. We’ll see if that refund comes. Very unhappy customer.
Pros. The staff the hotel itself and the great restaurant all combined to make an amazing hotel expierence

Pros. We found this hotel on the IHG site since they had recently merged. Close to beach. Easy access to Pacific Highway. Staff at the hotel were friendly and genuinely happy with easygoing attitudes. It helped us relax and it made a difference. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and if we travel back to Huntington Beach this is where we will stay!
Cons. Not consistent with the way the room was cleaned. However, a quick phone call remedied our towel situation. Fridge was fully stocked. Wish there would have been less items in the fridge so we could put our own drinks in. No biggie.
Pros. Close to beach, friendly staff. Was everything I was looking for in a beach side hotel. Wish I was able to stay for longer than one night.

Cons. I've stayed at other Kimpton Hotels and found them quirky and charming. This one is a boutique hotel without the charm of a boutique hotel. They also charge a daily resort fee of $25 (plus $3 tax). In no way is this a resort. There is no pool, no spa and if you get a courtyard view room, no view of anything but the courtyard. As someone else noted, the parking fee is hight but it's consistent with charges for all the parking garages in the area.

Cons. Was given a room on main floor almost directly off common area, but I suppose someone has to get that one... no ice machine on our floor. Balcony separated from neighbors' by a couple of floor planters--not very secure.
