I attended a business conference at this hotel. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and we very much enjoyed the meals provide by the hotel (some really good buffets) at our various conference events. Overall, this is a great hotel. The hotel has an excellent location --- across the street from the beach -- and with nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel has been undergoing renovations, but the room I had, which offered a really nice ocean view, was unfortunately not yet renovated -- so it was fairly outdated. The room was very large, but the sofa (a hide-a-bed) was not comfortable to sit on (it sagged so much), and the lighting controls are definitely "old-school" -- requiring each switch to be flipped individually. The updated rooms (per input from other guests) offer centralized lighting controls as one expects these days. They told me the renovations were planned, so I'm sure that once that is completed, all of the rooms there will be fantastic.
Pros. The customer service was amazing as was the room!
Cons. Nothing it was spectacular
Pros. Reasonably priced. Across the street from the beach. Great staff all around.
Cons. Only one restaurant on premises.
Pros. The hotel's proximity to the beach is great. They have a wonderful restaurant with ocean views--very nice.
Cons. The walls are paper thin--you can hear everything from people talking to dogs barking (it's a pet friendly hotel). Also, the fridge in the room would start buzzing every hour and wake us up. The staff was not very polite when we asked if we could switch rooms (we paid for a nice ocean view room and instead got an ugly view of a construction site). The driver of the shuttle who took us to Main Street was telling us how much nicer the Hyatt down the street is (next time I'll stay there!).
