Lovely from start to finish, the view from our room was lovely.
Beautiful setting, funky decor. Close to Palma so could take advantage of all the bars and restaurants.
Main restaurant was very expensive. Drinks were also expensive. Used as a conference hotel so sometimes there were a number of large, loud groups. Room not ready, card key not ready, were told we would be informed when both were ready, but we had to chase.
The hotel is immaculate and has a relaxed contemporary feel. The location couldn't be better and it has it's own small beach plus access to the sea from the rocks which is quirky and something different (especially for snorkelers like me!)
The staff were friendly, but there was little transparency as to what we had to pay for and what we didn't. We found them to be rather smug when we tried to use something that wasn't free. The hotel was quite extraordinarily expensive in places e.g. €12.50 for all you can eat buffet breakfast, but then €7.50 for a glass of orange juice at the bar. All very odd and not great value for money.
The hotel was exactly as it was described on its web site. Absolute luxury. The staff were fantastically helpfule and friendly and unobtrusive
sauna out of service
The most comfortable beds we ever experienced in a hotel in 40 years !
Restaurant food not up to the standard of everything else.
The room and hotel facilities
The very high cost of dining and the drinks were also very highly priced
Friendly staff, quiet atmosphere
Value not satisfacory, far too expensive compare to other local hotels with better facilities
A far more attractive hotel than anything else located just around it and in areas of Cala Major as well as in Palma itself; extremely friendly and helpful staff; breakfast with selection bypassing those of more expensive Marriotts, Sheratons and Hiltons I stayed at; super comfortable beds; spacious and well-equipped bathrooms with an entire range of toilettries; although from looking at the map the hotel appears to be further away from Palma, it is really just 15min v.comfortable bus ride with a bus stop just 50 meters from the hotel entrance; having passed by Nixe Palace, Barcelo Albatros, etc - other 5* hotels I initially considered - I was happy I opted for Melia De Mar;
With only two elevators and seven floors to service, at times it took quite long to get the elevator
