Hotel Creta Paguera - Calvià - Bedroom
1
9.7 Excellent (461 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel Creta Paguera in Calvia, you'll be by the sea, within a 10-minute drive of Palma Nova Beach and Western Water Park. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was our first time in Paguera. A week before our trip, we were informed that our flight had been rescheduled until late at night. We arrived at the hotel at 1am and were greeted with a smile by Juan. We've stayed in many hotels and it is hard to get a smile out of the staff during the day, let alone at night! He quickly showed us to our room and made us feel very welcome, without being intrusive. The hotel has been refurbished in 2017 to a high standard, the location is top noch (literally thirty seconds from the beach and 10 seconds from the main boulevard). Having said this, the rooms are not noisy at all and we were able to sleep like logs. Given that we were only in Paguera for 3 days we did not eat at the restaurant that they own but we are sure that the food is superb if the hotel is anything to go by. We left this morning at 8am and stopped in the restaurant for a morning coffee. It was then that we met Juan senior and he wouldn't let us pay for our drinks. We had a chat with him about the area, the island in general, etc. and it felt as though we were in our own home. It's the small things that make a holiday rememberable, and we will definitely not be forgetting this one for a long while. There is nothing that we can fault, and we are looking forward to returning with more time. Muchas gracias a todos desde Granada, da gusto encontrarse con un sitio así.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, staff very friendly and attentive
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean. It is one of those hotels that makes you feel very comfortable because it is simple and family run.
Cons: On booking.com, it is mentioned that there is parking but there is NOT specific parking to the hotel. The city offers a few free parking sports around the hotel but it is not guaranteed. The owner of the hotel provides a very useful map to find those spots
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, a lot of restaurants and shops around and very close to the beach. The service was perfect. Breakfast was really good, probably the best omelette I've ever had. It's freshly made, not a buffet style but made to order. Coffee was excellent as well. The hotel was very clean.
Cons: I'd still rate this 10/10 but if I were to complain about something it would be that the shower curtain in the bathroom kept on sticking to my body while showering. And perhaps not enough variations for breakfast so people staying for longer periods might start to get tired of it, perhaps some vegetable options would have been good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This family run hotel is excellent. Each member of staff is truely professional and the food (particularly breakfast) is a must have. The location is prime, and the top floor deluxe double with sea view balcony is highly recommended for the evening beer.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We never had breakfast, the location could not be any better,15 mtrs to the beach 10 mtrs to the bus stop and ATM machine.Good sea view to the left and view of the mountain to your right.Despite being in a very central location this lovely hotel was still very quiet and restful due to good double glazed balcony doors, but if you love people watching and the buzz sounds of the street, just open them sit on you balcony and enjoy. This is a small family run hotel run by 2 brothers who are extremely helpful and very friendly, dont expect all the trappings of the big hotels such as swimming pools and games rooms, there are none, but if you want a lovely spotlessly clean room with a few nice little touches, then we can highly recommend this lovely place.great place to stay if your on your own too
Cons: Whats to dislike,i would seriously have to nit pick.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely first class family run boutique hotel. Designed and decorated to a high degree and kept in pristine condition. There is a small restaurant and bar attached that is also of the same calibre as the hotel. It’s situated on the main boulevard just a short walk from the beach and it really is central to all you could need. We highly recommend this establishment and it’s staff if you want a trouble free holiday!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff of the hotel and restaurant was simply awesome. Lovely family run business and excellent approach to customers. From check-in to check-out, everything was just splendid. Lovely room with sea view. Beach is just 30 meters from the hotel door. Balcony with chairs and table, comfortable bed, bathroom size just enough, fast wi-fi and home-made breakfast. Personal welcome by the hotel owner in the morning. Always helpful and smiling personel all the time. Room was cleaned every day. No problem with later afternoon check-out. Definitelly recomended, I will be coming back.
Cons: Sometimes slightly noisy from the back street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was owner/managed and both brothers Michael and Juan jnr together with their mother and Patricia and Juan snr could not do enough to help their guests.Beach towels were provided, even the Norwegian walking sticks offered to help my husband walk. Michael drove us to a restaurant when our taxi failed to emerge. Breakfast was excellent. We would 100% recommend this hotel.
Cons: We liked everything.

Cons: Pool service could have been better for the quality of hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful! The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent . Beautiful hotel and lovely rooms, with a super outdoor pool and gardens.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was superb. Room was spacious, clean and well designed. Super quiet hotel for those looking for peace. Beautiful grounds and cute little village Es Capdella nearby.
Cons: Food and drinks despite their high quality are expensive, on any scale. Stayed for a week there, but on a couple of occasions decided to specifically go out just to eat because of the high prices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love the place and will be back, soon.
Cons: Fitness facilities are very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was a Jogging/trekking track around the estate, 3,4,5 or 6km long, quite a scenery for a walk or a run. Pool with somewhat saltwater, but with chemicals. Main restaurant was quite good, wine list spectacular. Zaranda now is a 2* Michelin restaurant, not 1, as mentioned everywhere.
Cons: Maybe the bed mattress seemed like too comfortable and too soft. Only couple days later noticed in the booklet that a pillow menu is available, although noone really introduced it. Missed the complimentary water at the pool and in the rooms. Some day it was offered some days it wasn't.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely outstanding. I cannot say enough about the facilities as well as the staff. They went out of there way to make us feel as relaxed as possible. The staff knew us by name on the first day and catered to our every desire. What and incredible place to decompress and enjoy the finer things. There is nothing like waking up to the sun rising over the Majorcan countryside. Once again if you looking for a true 5 star experience look no further.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Castell Son Claret is heaven on earth! Stunning building in a beautiful location with such attention to detail. The gardens, the pool, spa - everything is so well kept. The service was superb making each individual feel special - staying here is so much more than a hotel, it is an experience! One that I will reccomend to anyone visiting Mallorca and I will definitely revisit again.
Cons: I couldn't fault a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel with friendly efficient helpful staff. Excellent restaurants with good service. Lovely comfortable rooms
Cons: Absolutely nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The water tower is a unique experience
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property in a lovely location in nature with stunning grounds.
Cons: As we had a child age 6 we could only use the spa between 8.30 and 10.00am which I could understand, however they would not turn the steam room on as there was a guest having a 'Hammam' at 12 which I felt was unfair, did not take into account our needs and did not make sense. There was no info booklet in our rooms. The telephones did not work so we had to walk to reception if we wanted anything.

7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely modern clean hotel, great location.
Cons: The bathroom arrangements were not very private, the toilet and shower are literally situated in the bedroom with glass doors, no privacy at all.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful, the beds are very comfy and rooms spotless and trendy.
Cons: The food at Breakfast isn’t great, the eggs are a disaster, they are delivered either under cooked & jelly like or over cooked and cold. However the pastries, bread & cold meat selection is good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, service and beautiful beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach and amazing hotel, staff were so welcoming and friendly. Perfect stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: some of the waiters are really nice and helpful and made the stay somewhat enjoyable
Cons: the price does not correspond to the service and comfort you get. Especially the staff of hotel management is quite rude and snobby. It boasts to be a high end hotel, but has got normal service as any other four star hotel. the famous waterfall at the pool had to be turned off since water drained into the rooms beside to it. the beach in front is really tiny and the pool freezing cold.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything. The staff were so helpful and accommodating in every way. The food was delicious and the spa and pool were amazing.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff in front of hotel, ie reception and concierge/porters
Cons: Poor timing on housekeeping staff. Instead of cleaning when we were out of our room (which we were, for long times) they always showed up when we were in our room. For such an expensive hotel, that was very disturbing

Pros: Authenticity of the house, exquisite decoration, in the middle of the mountains, peace and calmness , excellent breakfast, very nicely served, generous staff, Beautiful and clean swimming pool, beautiful grounds and gardens perfect stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic warm welcome on arrival and friendly service throughout the stay. The property is stunning, with beautiful views and aesthetically pleasing decor both inside and out. The breakfast is a delightful continental buffet with a choice of tea, coffee and egg styles.
Cons: The rocky road in to the property and the min bar prices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic place to stay situated tucked away but still close to Palma and other villages. The place was time ago a mallorcan house, and it has been restored amazingly well. The place is cosy, all the rooms are really nice and it has a great pool where to relax and enjoy sunshine. The host Johnie is very attentive, he cares about the guests and you can see is worked hard to make this place special and warming. The breakfast is included in the price, and it was really noice and varied. This is probably the best places i have stayed in Mallorca, it has a great value for money price and I highly reccomend it.
Cons: The last 2 kilometers of the road to get there as it is not asphalted, but to get to a nice and hidden place as this, it is well worth it.

Pros: Beautiful place with a distinguished character for those who appreciate authentic style and wants to escape the busier parts of Mallorca.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The house is extremely beautiful Picturesque grounds Very helpful and nice hosts Tasty breakfasts Quiet, countryside neighbourhood (if you need calmness) not far from busy seaside (if you need facilities, restaurants and shops)
Cons: The single room is tiny, the bed is child-sized No heating in the bathroom making it very cold in the morning and humid for long after bath e.g. towels do not dry out
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hosts Christiane and Norbert were very welcoming. Their breakfast is top quality with fresh ingredients, large variety of foods from cheeses and meats to bircher muesli, fresh fruit, croissants and home made bread and jams. You can also order for free anything you want such as eggs any style, sausages, pancakes. Try their veggie omelette - it's incredible! You can also use tea-coffee machine any time of the day at the dining room - which I really enjoyed doing. The house is recently renovated, but was built in 16th (or 17th) century. The furniture is unique and antique, rooms are spacious and comfy, even body lotion is very good. I was really happy to spend 2 nights in this Finca just laying by the lovely pool and enjoying the sun and roosters and crickets sounds. You can also request to have some antipasti for dinner if you don't fancy driving out. You'll be served some warm bread, cheese, olives and ham (see photo). And you can take cava, wine, beer, lemonade or ice-cream from the fridge and pay when checking out.
Cons: The only drawback I'd say is location - it's about 25 min walk in a deserted area to the central road and nearest cafe/shop. If you have a car - that's not a big deal. But if you travel by taxi - then it's quite a faraway place from either a beach or entertainment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, very clean and extremely welcoming owners
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming look and feel in tranquil area. Best location to roam the island.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The finca was a convenient location for exploring Palma and the western part of the island. Being out in the country was a relaxing break from the bustle of Palma and the beach resort areas. The breakfast was delicious, with eggs and sausage or bacon available upon request. The balcony was a nice place to relax in the evening, drinking wine while enjoying the starry sky.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with good choice and very attentive service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Finca Can Estades is an oasis in the desert, an island of peace and harmony. Christiana and Norbert are the best hosts we have ever met, their kindness made our stay even more happy and relaxing. The house is wonderful, stylish and quiet, we could not imagine any better. Wish to come back soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome from Christina and Norbert was so personal and individual. The house has been restored with such love and attention to detail. Everywhere has been maintained and cleaned to the highest standards. The pool area is spacious and relaxing; so calming and peaceful. Norbert's cooked breakfasts are fantastic

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect if you want to be near to the port (Puerto Portals) it’s glam and the staff are amazing! It’s extremely clean, good choice of drinks and it’s small and personable! I liked the fact it’s always really easy to get sun beds unlike bigger, more populated hotels. Absolutely perfect for couples who want to completely relax.
Cons: This isn’t necessarily what I didn’t like, however I feel there could be slightly more on offer at breakfast time. More for allergies like gluten free etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very stylish, attentive staff and nailed the Miami vibe.
Cons: Shuttles down to port would be handy.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: the air con in gym didn't work the menu for lunch was a bit limited - more salad/healthy options would be good
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly
Cons: Very noisy - dogs barking constantly - music blaring and to cap it all we were woken up at 1.30am by a completely inebriated woman banging at our door. She was so incapacitated she couldn’t find her own room. The pool was so tiny that if one family was in it there was no room for anybody else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is outstanding in every way. The staff are excellent they can’t do enough for you
Cons: I can’t fault anything with this hotel
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice and chilled
Cons: Modern style Calming
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very quite and relaxing place, highly recommended!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Decor and staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and cool
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beautiful hotel with stunning views and luxurious facilities. The staff are very attentive.
Cons: The stay was dominated by a wedding party who were understandably having a good time but that did not fit with couples such as ourselves who were hoping for a quiet, relaxing time. We had hoped to dine in the hotel but went elsewhere because of the noise and the number of people milling around in the bar and restaurant area. We really feel that we should have been advised that the wedding was happening and then we could have booked elsewhere. I suggested this to the Hotel Manager when we returned to the hotel after our evening meal.I have never posted a negative comment before but hope that in doing so the hotel will advise future guests in similar circumstances.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place! Our small paradise :) Room was beautiful decorated in an elegant style matching to the whole object and the environment. We had large bathroom and small fridge in our room. There was cleaned every day. Brilliant swimming pool outside and nice viewes. Free parking. Delicious breakfasts. Owner was very gentlemanly and nice. The description of the place agrees with reality in 100%, but on arrival you are still surprised by the beauty of this place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, amazing scenery, lovely pool, good breakfast - cannot complain about anything at the property
Cons: You do need a car as not much choice of restaurants in Calvià but we did not mind this at all
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Son Malero is a beautiful old Finca with a splendid pool area totally fit for staying full days relaxing there. As it is an old place with original furniture don't expect that everything is shiny. But this adds to the authentic feel. The owner couple is very attentive and caring (prepared baby food for us each day) and the vers good breakfast on the porch was the perfect start into the day.
Cons: It is really far off and Calvia has basically one overpriced restaurant and a bar. As we had no car and a room with no kitchen this was rather problematic for us. Bring moskito spray!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Lovely healthy breakfast. Rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of privacy. Location just outside Calvia was idyllic and only a short taxi journey to the beach areas. I would highly recommend for any couple travelling.
Cons: Nothing really.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fridge that wasn't a mini-bar like most other similar Finca type B&Bs.
Cons: Limited restaurant options within walking distance of property.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully renovated. Lovely pool. Good breakfast, taken on the terrace with lovely view. Very helpful owner.
Cons: Our only "disappointment" would be that the best restaurant in the village didn't have any fish on the menu. Don't get me wrong, what they did was very good with generous portions and very friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A peaceful countryside retreat, only 15 minutes drive to the coast. Helpful hosts provided crockery so we could picnic in the garden. Spotlessly clean. Beautifully appointed room. Excellent swimming pool for cooling off after a day out. Breakfast was delicious, with fine views from the terrace. We loved it!
Cons: AC could have been a little more efficient, but it was a minor issue as the place is so beautiful!
7.0 Good
Pros: Quiet Attractive building Nice continental breakfast Room and towels changed every day
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was really comfortable, clean & well decorated. The breakfast was excellent with a beautiful eating area. The owner was brilliant, very friendly & really helpful with great recommendations of restaurants which he booked for us. The gardens area were lovely and the pool area peaceful. Pros: The service is second to none. The hotel butler Sabine greeted us on arrival and made sure everything was taken care of. From hotel reservations to packing and unpacking our bags. Food at the hotel is also of a very high level, even if it’s just a club sandwich. The outdoor area is fantastic and spacious with a beautiful garden area next to the pools. The hotel is also in close reach of Port Portals with a vast choice of restaurants and bars. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for, and it’s worth it!

Pros: I love everything

Cons: When booking and investing more money to have sea view I expect to have direct view and not having to look against a wall on the balcony when lying in bed and not only having see view from the side and not direct.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and comfortable hotel. Excellent quiet location with good facilities.
Cons: Although the hotel is well provided with lifts, to access all the facilities a reasonable level of mobility is required. Not a problem for us but may be for some.
7.5 Good
Pros: Perfect ropms!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was geared up to making your stay a memorable one Friendly family run hotel pools are great main pool 3.2m deep not good for young children Pool bar staff both happy and friendly Met the hotel owner on several occasions and always was happy to listen and help Great stay great holiday Amazed by the amount of guests we met that visited-year after year
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible view of the bay and water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing .
7.0 Good
Pros: The Hotel has a massive areal and never felt really crowded at all. The quality of food was excellent and all meals included. There is a tiny beach that belongs to the property, which was lovely but water quality wasn't the best you can get in Mallorca. All other guests (mainly English, >65 years) were really friendly and respectful.
Cons: The trip absolutely met our expectation. For the price however, I'd expect to be blown away. Some reception staff were rude and unconcerned about guests wishes. One of the restaurants has a dress code, which we weren't made aware of when booking. Due to another restaurant booked out, we could not eat out that night. I think the staff could have handled the situation smarter and friendlier. While the hotel does cater for kids, the details aren't really thought out (not much space for parents to stay by the kids pool, no additional chair in room, no block out curtains, which meant very (!) early mornings)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Waiting staff were very attentive. The beach bay was a lovely setting for breakfast & dinner. Room was a nice size. Food was good. Yoga class a bonus.
Cons: The fact that a lot of old people stay here, we are only 55 and felt like no one our age. Pool bar should be open for food all day not just after 3pm. Would like to just get a drink at the beach side restaurant in evening but told no only place for drinking in evening is bar in main building. Bed was a little hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, friendly & very helpful staff. Very pretty little private beach with chic yellow towels, loungers & parasols and you are given a cute wicker beach bag to carry your towels in. Delicious fresh buffet lunch at the beach restaurant and a good more formal restaurant for dinner. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Very accommodating staff we requested and were given interconnecting rooms and a late check out on our last day. We’d definitely go back.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location staff friendliness and facilities and gardens
Cons: Lots of levels

10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful place. We had previously stayed at H10 punta negra and had a terrible experience with the Manager over charging us so we booked here. The staff go over and above to provide the most memorable stay for you. The Manager Toni (I think) left a letter under our door to welcome us to the hotel and the night before check out we got another slip saying thank you and a lollipop. On arrival there were two lindt chocolates. Pools are amazing! Beach is amazing and so warm with lots of access points. Dive centre is great! Leaves at 10am for the boat dives. There is a sauna and wellness centre with the indoor pool- we didn't even know about it. Gym is great looking out to the sea. Breakfast staff are so funny and lovely. Grilled lobster at lunch was so good! Lunch finishes at 3.30pm at the pool bar then you can't get anything else. Should be open all day. Nice big car parks up top as well. Lots of activities. Water Aerobics guy has great music and is very enthusiastic. We wanted to do Archery and shooting but it was too hot, so we stayed at the pool. Nice room balconies and design of room. Welcome Cava was great. Huge hotel but they made a great use of the space. Will be back. We extended already when we were there.
Cons: People reserve their beach chairs by putting a yellow towel down there at 7am. It says everywhere you can't reserve, however people still do. Need to have the lifeguard taking the towels off if no one is sitting there and if they see them try reserve it. Guests are rude at breakfast, it is as if it is their last meal. So strange. Russian guests next to us took 9 full peaches from the buffet and then stuffed them in their bag and there were none left for anyone. They also drunk 9 glasses of cava between them for breakfast! One lady was filling an entire bowl with coffee? Maybe to take for later into a hot bottle? Not acceptable. Also saw a lady in gym clothes fill up her bottle with the water at breakfast and her dirty mouth part of the bottle was touching the water. The waiters have seen some of this but aren't sure how to tell them off, as Management wants 10/10 service. However I think there needs to be an exception here. If they see someone steal extra from breakfast. To embarrass them on the spot and charge a fee or something. I also saw a lady touch all the peaches before walking away with none. Maybe have a fruit station and you have to ask for the fruit. Like the omelette station. We told management about the plastic strips around the pool towels, that they need to be cut. My sister tripped over one badly as it blew off the stairs. Also a choking hazard for all sea life. The next day they were all cut. Quick change which was great. Watch out for jellyfish swimming in the ocean. I got stung by one and its so painful. It burns into your skin. Dangerous if near eyes, heart or with little kids. Wear goggles when in the ocean or a rash shirt. Rooms could be a bit bigger. With a roll away bed it was a squeeze. We managed but still. The night lights in the room are annoying at night, had to sleep with an eye mask. They need to be covered over some how. The straw walls smell a bit too strong of straw. Pool towels should be open past 3pm.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: very kind and hellpfule stafe ' great pool . very clean romm. exelent brekfest .
Cons: i was very happy if ther ws in the room coffe macking machin /
4.5 Okay
Cons: Would not go back. Pretty dated hotel from the 70s, photos on booking are misleading.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: We had let the hotel know we were on our honeymoon prior to arriving, so when we got there they upgraded us to a Presidential Suite - it was amazing! The views are spectacular and the option of swimming in the pools or sea is great. Definitely check out AquaZumba at 11am. T
Cons: The food in the buffet isn't that great. Also be aware that there is a music concert every night at the pool from about 9-11pm. It's very loud so you can't get over your jet lag until after the performance. Lots of kids in the big pool, so take advantage of the adults only pool.
7.0 Good
Pros: What I liked was the distance from Palma but still not so long and near the really good beaches in Illetes. The hotel was also very friendly for children. The pool was nice. Had a massage in their spa. That was the best part! Laura, she was amazing!
Cons: Didn’t like our first room, it was dark, the ac didn’t really worked. But the tried do help us when we told them, by repair it, didn’t work first or second time. They should Have let us change room directly. The breakfast buffet was good but the the coffee was terrible. If they have much Scandinavian guest, they should try to serve good coffee. The smell after they clean the room wasn’t so nice, it smelled bathhouse. Think this hotel can do better by changing some small things.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Too many guests meaning a scrum at meal times and getting a sunbed I propose a floor of rooms should be knocked through to create larger suites as an option and would decrease numbers
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location and size of the room
Cons: Unpleasant and No value for money as the room was lacking the basics facilities that the majority of four star hotels offer without even requesting such as bath robes, kettle, coffee machine, and clothes iron, Safety deposit safe in the room is chargeable. The room was missing even trash bins, only one was available in the bathroom. The bathroom had also weird sewer smell, I asked the reception to check it but they haven't done anything about it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and staff superb Considering it’s catering for as many as they can do, the food is very very good- hats off to the chefs and the service staff are a joy.
Cons: A clear effort to separate children and adults (pool understandable) as there’s a second pool! Dining your simply not allowed to seat in the sea view seating and shoved in the back boiling hot with all of the prams! Now this hotel needs to decide who to sell too! It’s almost so severe it’s disgraceful! Admittedly when I suggested how disgusted I was the manager was at our table very quickly and showed us a table we were allowed to sit on. This like the pool situation SHOULD be advertised before spending 282.00 euros per night B and B only. To ask for us to pay to use the room safe is just horrifying! The rooms are basic travel lodge rooms with a half decent shower which is like spikes landing on your skin- not good for me or my 8 year old. We were notably placed into a “Side room location” with the smallest of sea views imaginable - I can only surmise this is because I landed alone with a child! I booked and paid for a sea view room!! I also didn’t like te fact from the moment you arrive your brainwashed into marking them 10 score here and trip advisor- there’s even tv monitors around the place with it on. Would I stay again. If book the Melia down the road! But may come dine as food was very pleasant.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: A bit understaffed around the pool area
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Parking problem
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect views. Good and comfortable rooms. All the hotel is fully air conditioned what is really nice. Modern and stylish interior. Breakfast was included to our booking and we enjoyed it a lot, there are lot of meals you can choose of. There are a pool and a sea exit available.
Cons: Internet connection was pretty bad, you definitely can't work from the room, and my 'huawei' phone even was not able to connect. Also, I think toilets is a private room, but you can not close it here, and really weak door between room and toilet so all the noises will embarrass your roommate.

Pros: What an amazing hotel ! My friend and I were surprised ! The stuff was super nice with us . The breakfast was amazing! A lot of variety and options ! The room was perfect for two with a balcony and comfortable bed . The garden is one of my favorites parts, so peaceful . I highly recommend this hotel . If I’m back to Mallorca I’d stay here again! Just 30 min from Palma. It is located in a little town with markets and beach 5 min walking from the hotel. I can’t say anything negative !
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance of the hotel was a delight and the breakfast in a morning was just amazing, we were spoilt rotten. I loved the Cuban feel within the hotel and the whole decor was amazing.
Cons: Shower curtain!!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy, airy family room with a great balcony and view of the sea. The hotel is full of interesting nooks and crannies. It has fantastic outdoor spaces, the little garden in particular was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. A real find for us!
Cons: The staff were really friendly and approachable but sometimes a little overstretched.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bella Colina is a very cute independent hotel - the feel of the place is very 'homely' and comfortable, you really feel like you are part of the place. the design/decor is definitely 'a look' with loads of bits and bobs and curiosities everywhere. We were in room 314 and had a HUGE long balcony which was in the sun all day, and overlooked the pool deck / town / out to the ocean in the distance. Lovely! The staff are so lovely - super friendly and helpful, and despite always being busy with lots to do, always had a smile and time for a chat! Breakfast is superb - continental (so don't expect a full English or pancakes) but the variety was amazing and everything was constantly replenished The pool area is excellent too and a welcome place to chill out in or out of the sun. Pool towels available at reception really easily, we kept ours all week and returned them at check out. Location is also brilliant - Peguera is a busy touristy town (mostly German tourists but this was totally fine for us!) with loads going on, but once back at Bella Colina we couldn't hear any noise from the centre of town, which suited us perfectly! 10 mins stroll to the beach through the town, close to a supermarket and fantastic car rental!
Cons: The bedrooms didn't 'feel' like EURO 140 per night rooms (even with the fabulous breakfast included...) The bedrooms feel quite basic - they are immaculately clean (thank you, housekeeping!) but the built in wardrobes & bathroom are dated and would benefit from an update at some point. We stayed during summer school holidays so had lots of families around. The walls in our room were thin and the noise in the corridors started around 8am every day (other guests and housekeeping)., so having a lazy lie in wasn't really an option. Not a criticism of the hotel, but useful to note depending on when you're thinking of staying! For the in-room facilities provided - it would be great if the rooms had a fridge, if the complimentary water was refreshed every day (not just for arrival day), and perhaps also tea & coffee facilities. And individual safe /lock boxes... (we rented a lock box at reception which worked fine for us, but the lock boxes are at reception rather than in the room, which might not suit everyone). Small touches like these would make a big difference for the overall experience. Also, the staff are brilliant but couldn't be everywhere at once and this often meant that Reception, or the Pool Bar, seemed un-staffed (which they weren't really, but 1 person can't be across 2 floors of the hotel at once!). We never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for someone to appear, which wasn't a huge issue, but it would be a big improvement for guest experience if this was worked out. The pool bar (drinks & snacks) is great and has fantastic potential - if it had been staffed consistently we would have spent much more money there! Overall it was a great stay, and there is potential for Bella Colina to be outstanding with a few small improvements (which i'm sure are already in the planning)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully-maintained grounds, very-nicely decorated, with the vintage theme and unique pieces incorporated throughout the hotel. Nice pool area. Really enjoyed the breakfast selection. Staff was helpful. Location is great. Parking area attached to the hotel was super useful, as we rented a car. We were a family of four, and loved having the 2-bedroom suite.
Cons: Hotel didn’t have an iron and a safe.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovley place. So much interesting, nice and funny art. Everything at this hotel is original and different. The garden, the pictures, the lamps, the carpet etc. The hotel is full of creative details.
Cons: When you order food from the bar you have to be patient, to say it careful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotell is smaller and makes the hotell area/pool area calmer. Plenty of guests coming and leaving but it’s always calm and quiet at night
Cons: The rooms are not very soundproof, you can hear neighbors talk if they are loud, and hear the cleaning maids clearly outside in the corridor
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything and everyone about the hotel was excellent the only thing that was such a disappointment was we decided to pay for our room in English Stirling and the bank took a 4.75% interest on the payment, which I feel is absolutely disgusting, it cost us an extra £80. How can Santander possibly warrant that amount.
Cons: 4.75% Santander bank charges on our payment. Disgusting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vintage details, eye for detail wherever you look !
Cons: N/a
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and nice pool area.
Cons: The rooms needs to be upgraded.

Pros: The Spa and pool
Cons: The first time I booked the hotel was for me and a friend who lives in Spain. This was the 20th and the 21st of June. We were told no deals so two nights stay was 580 pounds for two nights . When we arrived the lady at the desk must have had a bad morning because it showed on her face . Wasn't friendly at all booked us in gave us a key and that was that . The guy at the end of the desk we asked how do we get to our room and he gave directions . We got into our room wasn't bad but not worth 290 a night . Anyway we had a nice afternoon around the pool had lunch by the pool staff there lovely . Paid cash for our meals and drink just over 100 euros and enjoyed it . We booked treatments in the spa for the next day for both of us 540 euros but worth every penny. Treatment lovely and staff so helpful and lovely . We booked an eveing meal at the restaurant 3 waiters serving the tables . Had a meal and when it came to pudding my friend asked the waiter about the pudding he recommend one pudding and my friend can not have chocolate he said it dosent come with chocolate well when it came it did have chocolate. The waiter said oh don't worry we will scrap it off my friend said but you can't scrap it all of can you he no but it will be alright . It's like saying to someone with peanut allergie oh don't worry it's only a little peanut on it . My friend said sorry but I can't eat it . The waiter wasn't please that she would have it . My friend said could she have something else . When the second pudding came crambule it was part frozen. So when I asked for the bill it came to 95 euros I paid cash put it inside the book and he took it away and never came back with the 5 euros. I could have said something but thought we won't eat here again . The next day we had our treatment which was lovely and spent the afternoon round the pool . We decided to eat in the bar round the pool that evening and had a great time .

Pros: Excellent geographical situation, very quiet, in a beautiful site. Spacious and very well arranged room. In a cosy decor, very pleasant atmosphere. Not at the seaside but the hotel offers at anytime shuttles to the beach as well as to the Bendinat golf course. Very good wifi connection, both inside and outside. Very nice hotel staff.
Cons: Cleanliness: the service could be a little more efficient, in general. Do not clean the tables properly, especially at breakfast.

THE HOTELHospes Maricel and Spa is made up of two buildings: the original 29-room “Maricel Palace” and the new 22-room “Natura building,” which includes the impressive Bodyna Spa & Wellness center. Once a grand residence, and later a hotspot for the old-school jet set, the hotel is impressive for its views of the Mediterranean, historical beauty, and modern style.ARCHITECTURE & DESIGNComprised of a converted 16th-century mansion and a beautifully designed new building across the road, connected via an underground walkway, Hospes Maricel & Spa is a unique mix of neoclassical and avant-garde architecture. The new building is constructed in the typical Mallorca stone wall style while the old building's revamp has returned traditional Balearic elements such as archways, arcades, and pillars in marble, stone and sandstone from nearby Santanyí. The interiors are decidedly contemporary allowing the Mediterranean views to take center stage.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful building
Cons: Beautiful hotel but the service in the restaurant and pool restaurant was absolutely terrible. Over one hour for Gaspacho and another 45 mins for an over cooked sea bass. Unacceptable for a 5 star hotel in high season. The manager needs to give the restaurant and pool staff a serious kick up to fix this!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location right on the seafront. Beautiful infinity pool and gorgeous terrace overlooking it. Plentiful sunchairs and towels. Very comfortable and spacious rooms in the annex. Front of house reception staff were efficient and friendly. Nice checkin on terrace with glass of cava. Excellent checkout, we had late flight and were allowed to use facilities of pool and the spa to freshen up before flight. The best sangria I had by the pool super
Cons: For a 5 star Hotel with this price tag certain things were lacking. No coffee machine in the room, there was a nespresso machine left out that we could take the lift couple of floors down to but was taken away at 10am and there were never clean cups. The service at the pool area as mentioned in many reviews is extremely slow and has not been addressed. The bar was supposed to have live jazz music at night but never did and was dead and lacking atmosphere. The jacuzzi plunge pool in room is just pointless, why are they not heated!!??
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location, right near the sea
Cons: Very expensive, only one restaurant that was fine dining, Staff lack of knowledge of English caused a bit of confusion. Requests for information on things to see in the area was not good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location for this peaceful and elegant retreat
Cons: The new part of the hotel simply doesn’t match the old part - it lacks the essence of the hotel and although perfectly pleasant it is a very different experience.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Pool/Ocean area. Great breakfast and attentive staff. Gorgeous building Excellent spa facilities
Cons: Dinner entrees were not inspiring (appetizers great but mains were not as good as local opportunities) Some issues with the shuttle/cabs (takes time)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: A little pricey.
7.0 Good
Pros: The view of the ocean was spectacular, and the main mansion is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The interior design leaves a lot to be desired. And the secondary building is a bit out of the way and isolated.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The buildings and facilities are beautiful, as were the view and the pool Lunch options were great and location nice just outside of Palma (although taxis not always easy to get)
Cons: The breakfast was disappointing: little fresh fruit / juices / gluten-free options for example The staff, although mostly friendly, was sometimes slow to respond
5.5 Okay
Pros: Extremely overpriced. Almost no service at the pool. Very good breakfast. Dinner 3/5.
Cons: Overpriced
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location - it was good for us to be on the outskirts of Palma to easily access the city but also to explore the South-west. The reviews stated how good breakfast was which certainly met our expectations and on a wonderful terrace. The architecture and ambiance of the hotel was excellent - the pool area with terrace and steps into the sea were idyllic.

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The location could not be better as the magnificent port of Portals Nous was in walking distance, along with two beaches.
Cons: I just wish the hotel pool was open a bit later than 1900. Maybe 2000. Other than that, there are really no complaints about this wonderful hotel.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nothing
Cons: I booked a suite No tv worked , no water in room , hard bed and 2 singles, no tea or coffee making facilities, WiFi poor , generally worst 4 star hotel I’ve stayed in
9.3 Excellent
Cons: - parking was always overbooked and you have to drive around the hotel to find parking space on the road - when I was asking vase for flowers lady on reception has rold me that they do not have any and do not have any idea how to help me. I went to the bar and asked for ice basket myself and have solved my problem myself. - there are no bottled water in the room, in case of need you have to buy it

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms spacious and spotless, breakfast amazing and excellent location.
Cons: Everything was first class.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, and rooms were great with a living area, table and chairs and a sea view. Hotel was about a 10 minute walk downhill to the seafront, and a 15 minute taxi ride from Palma airport. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: No issues at all with the accomodation, but prices in the restaurants especially in the marina were very expensive. Palma nova is only 2 miles away, 6 euros in a taxi, and seafront restaurants half the price.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really clean with friendly staff. The best thing is the breakfast though, so much choice and all delicious and fresh.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations, could not have had a better stay, just wish I stayed longer! Will be visiting again definitely.
Cons: One morning there was not enough towels at the pool, this is the only minor inconvenience out of my whole stay!
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely view from the rooms, Deluxe rooms have a great bathroom, very good breakfast buffet
Cons: Staff, especially in the pool facing restaurants could be a lot friendlier for the money spent at this hotel. Booked half board, arrived too late because of Ryanair and were told restaurant is closed but we could pay room service....
7.0 Good
Pros: Access to water. Food at the Bardot, and restaurants was great. Good service and decent installations (ie spa)
Cons: Rooms need a bit of a refresh and up keeping. The pool/beach area is great but they place way to many deck chairs and makes it look crowded and cheapens the whole thing. The access to the water on the front needs some fixing too to make it truly 5*, let alone Leading Hotel of the world class.
7.5 Good
Pros: The smell as you walk in! Lovely new pool, grounds around the pool are very nice. Staff always helpful.
Cons: Definitely need more staff around the pool during the day. We had to get up all the time & go to bar to order drinks then they would take so long to come. The umbrella situation is terrible, don’t have nearly enough, need to buy lots more & ones on wheels to easily move. The pool area is where your guests spend a lot of there time you definitely need to do more to keep everyone happy, the biggest thing is lots more serving staff.

6.3 Good
Pros: Location was real good - 2 minutes to the bus stop to Palma. And there were always enough sun beds near the pool (pity the pool was rather small - more for children).
Cons: Really bad food. I know people say it's fantastic, but the products are very poor quality. Seems to be a good choice of foods, but in fact there's nothing I could barely touch. There were large BUGS in the oatmeal jar, you know, sand color with lots of legs.... I was so scared to eat anything after that. Those omelettes which they are trying to make look stylish, like in a top star restaurant, in fact tasted nothing if not to say bad. Yes, they added chia seeds to the breakfast buffet but what's the point when other foods are not good. The only good thing were fruits - pineapple, grapefruit, orange slices. Dinners... tasteless salad leaves and lots of mayo salads which I couldn't even look at. I was sorry I paid for HB because half of my stay I was eating out in Balneario Illetas - perfect food! in a beach club restaurant 10 mins walk from Hotel. Highly recommend. The rooms were not clean enough. Someone's else's hairs in the bath, sand all over, dirty napkins under the bed. No drinking water in the rooms - just for the first night. And my separate comment for the older manager at reception. Always in a bad mood, seemed that he was doing me a great favor when changing pool towels and answering any queries. Hated to come to reception because of him. Elevators... You can press the button, and travel in an elevator up and down because it's not set up to choose direction when you call it. Yoy wait while it picks up other people from other floors. Overall hotel is 3-. I'd stay it's 2 stars in Switzerland or London. ...and don't even think of anyone helping you with the luggage.
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the tranquility of the place
Cons: that to have the stars it has, it is necessary to have a little more cleaning in the bathrooms
6.8 Good
Pros: breakfast was amazing. Lots of choices and the homemade mexican omelette was delicious. There are enough pool chairs even though many guests pre-reserved their chairs super early in the morning ...
Cons: not all rooms with sea view have sea view... so be careful when you book. the gym is not a gym... it's a room which is super hot (no A/C) and which has only 3 workout machines from 1982. the only nice part is the view of the gym ;)
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: View
Cons: Smelly carpet, old dirty towels and sheets, horrible pillows. Wanted to cancel when arrived.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is clean and modern, really like the idyllic setting. Tuck away on its own but you have the option to go into the main strip in a short taxi (10 Euro) they have an amazing alcove beach which is attached to hotel itself and its private.
Cons: The only 2 things which were frustrating - 1) waiting for taxis of your happy to wait it’s no probs sometime taxis would take 20 mins others only 5? 2) breakfast was great massive selection and really nice but bar menu seemed a little pricey for what you got. Ham and Chesse sandwich with chips 10 euro? But you have enough bars and restaurants outside hotel so you have the option of going out.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I have been there before, and i love it all. The seaview is amazing. Breakfast is very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel, location, pool
Cons: Perfect getaway
6.2 Good
Pros: I loved the view from the pool and from our hotel room. The breakfast buffet was amazing
Cons: They would charge 2,80 Euro for renting a beach towel, the room is quite outdated. The hair dryer is very old school. When you shower, there is no curtain or door to block the water to come out of the bath tub where half the bathroom floor is all wet by the time you are done showering.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with Cava- enjoyed. Nice room, balcony
Cons: Difficult if you need to climb stairs
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Private beach, close to the bus stops, good restaurants are nearby, vending machine with water and snacks at the hotel, good bar
Cons: Air-conditioning was strange: it has only 3 regimes so it’s difficult to set a comfortable temperature
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were lovely, spacious and the view from the balcony was stunning
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast , staffs downstairs
Cons: The room had a smell and the cleaner did not change towels and bed sheet in 3 days. Very lazy

7.5 Good
Pros: A fabulous location and the main building / terrace oozes old world charm. The food is staggeringly good, matched only by the view.
Cons: The downside of old world charm is, well, old world. Though comfortable my room had seen better days as had the pool area. Of more annoyance - and I appreciate I’m probably in the minority here. placing towels on sun beds to reserve them (and crucially the parasols which were in short supply) became so tiresome - made more maddening when the guests didn’t claim their loungers until I’d burnt to a crisp each day, forced me to the (handily very local beach) where I could pay for my own. Not the behaviour or standards I’d expect a hotel like this should tolerate. But like I say, probably just me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: its a stunning location and great food
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was outstanding and our suite was lovely with a beautiful view
Cons: The pool was very small and it would have been nice for the pool bar to be opened longer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I were visiting our favourite island of Mallorca and wanted to stay in an area that we hadn't on previous trips. We booked our flights and were looking to book a hotel for 5 nights. After searching on booking.com we found the Hotel Bendinat and we are so pleased that we did. It is a fabulous hotel in a great location, overlooking the sea, in a quiet area but within easy reach of bars and restaurants. We were upgraded on arrival to a Seaview room with a stunning view and large terrace (room 102). The room was traditional style and comfortable with everything needed although the bathroom was very small but functional. The suites located around the swimming pool looked fabulous, maybe next time we'll book one of those but saying that I think the room that we were allocated had the best view in the hotel! The hotel restaurant served a great breakfast, in a super setting on the waters edge. We ended up eating 2 evening meals at the hotel restaurant as the food was fabulous - I'd certainly recommend trying it whilst there. Probably advisable to book as it did get very busy at both lunch and dinner. There is a more casual restaurant poolside serving lunch which again was great, delicious food that was well presented at good prices!
Cons: The bathroom was small in our room but that wasn't really a problem for us as the amazing view from our terrace more than made up for it!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting, great staff and a room with theee view

10.0 Excellent
Cons: Very well staffed. Very friendly and helpful. Cleaning crews are on top of things.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The shade afforded by the semi wooded setting was great. The views from the gardens were lovely. The proximity to the two beaches excellent. Snorkelling very good from one beach; other less so as sandy water. The room was quite basic but in an excellent location relative to the pool, for our children. Room very clean and fresh linen daily. Good for kids generally - they loved the pools. Pools have deep end and can actually dive into them. Mini spa area with jacuzzis also excellent and kids loved it. Breakfast excellent, evening menu good and lovely to eat outdoors. Food good generally. Staff were always pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Suite really quite basic for price. Main bed in the room was actually two beds pushed together - could be better for the price. Compromise in terms of view onto pool and not onto sea - but it worked for us well with young children. Germanic crowd (I'm sorry but it's true) turning up at 0800am, placing towels on loungers and then disappearing. Lastly - I suspect they're using DDT to kill the wildlife that would/should otherwise be there - as no mossies (great) but no bees/butterflies either. Only things living were the Ciccadas (accept wholly that some (perhaps many) people may think this is a plus - and if there were many mosquitos I would be complaining about it).
5.0 Okay
Pros: View ja gardens, breakfast and lunch staff
Cons: We were initially given wrong rooms (wasting our valuable time on holiday for having to get them changed), reception staff - didn’t say hi, morning, good night etc. unless you (customer) said first). They totally ignored customers and just chatted to each other or even surfed personal items on Internet, e.g. dresses. I think there’s a lot of potential with the hotel, but it has to start from the management how to operate the hotel better and how to get the staff to behave and treat customers well. Our daughter also had raw chicken for lunch!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is good especially if you want to spend resort as leaving from crowd of people.
Cons: The hotel has a restaurant, however basically there is no other option. The restaurant provides good service and atmosphere preferred especially for a couple of adult. My kids was too small and easily able to break atmosphere. We had to care around while dinner and got tired.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to Palma and other nice towns, but is fairly secluded with two small and quiet beaches. Pretty grounds. Nice staff.
Cons: Restaurant (especially for lunch) are extremely poor in quality of food and expensive, which makes value for euro spent quite low. The hotel has lots of mosquitoes. Another low mark is in the management of suntanning beds: some people come out early in the morning, leave their towels on sun beds and then never come out to them. The hotel’s management should prohibit such behavior as many other hotels do.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, wonderful view, perfekt weather and staff. Nice personal and food was excellent. We will go there next year for sure.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location, pools, room
Cons: Could have had better children changing facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is gorgeous. It is in a truly stunning location. The food is really really good. The views from the room are stunning. The staff are extremely helpful too.
Cons: The first room that we were given did not meet expectations at all, and it is a bit irritating to have to change rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. Location and scenery were fantastic and facilities and staff very good
5.5 Okay
Cons: Room with a Mountain View in fact has a parking view! And ants on top of that. And all beds in the hotel are separate which is far from promised King size beds.
