We had an absolutely beautiful tatami room with a balcony overlooking the sea with the ferry port within sight. The facility is spotless. The staff was very kind and helpful. It was a beautiful and peaceful stay. The room is over the front porch where people smoked, so we could smell smoke from our room on the 4th floor.
The staff were absolutely delightful, going to every length to make sure our stay was wonderful. We received a room upgrade due to a slight miscommunication with the booking, but even without this perk the experience was magnificent. The room itself was lovely, spotless and modern. Hotel facilities were the same, lovely baths with lovely views. The food was also delicious, we ate with our eyes as much as our mouths! Hotel location couldn't have been better, 5mins walk from the ferry dock and entrance was at the beginning of the main lively street. Can not fault this experience. Walked around what we thought was the hotel (going off the pictures we remembered from the booking) but were not confident to enter as it only seemed to have signs with Japanese characters or the restaurant name (which was different to the hotel name). Turned out to be the right place though - I wouldn't say this is the hotels fault either, but just for the sake of answering this question..
Politeness of all personnel; Japanese design, all new hotel in Japanese style with Western style bathrooms; very spacious room; very good Japanese breakfast. Best possible location. A hotel I would recommend for tasteful travellers rather than for tourists. Nothing.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is included featuring Japanese dishes. Neighboring the Hotel is a coin operated laundromat, a convenience store (like 7-11), and ramen/gyoza cafe. Free parking and immediate access to highway 2. Room is tiny by American standards but very clean. Bathroom has a deep soaking tub. Liquid soap and shampoo are provided as well as toothbrush and paste and disposable razor. Water boiler for tea or instant coffee is also in the room. LCD TV shows local broadcast. The only problem I had was connecting to the internet. It is Not WiFi nor USB. It is LAN connection so if you want to us your laptop you will need a LAN to USB converter. Also, if you have never used your email accounts in Japan you may have trouble logging in unless you have a way to verify your account. I finally managed to get mine working by using my mobile phone number to get a verification code texted to me.
